Hi,

Any idea why IC is going down?

I have a small set of coins, but it's no use to sell it now. Keep staking them in Discord.

It is not spesific to Ignition. Lots of alts dropped too much in this month.

Ignition Coin Version 1.1 is out! This version is a *MANDATORY* upgrade.

Main changes of importance::
1/ Fork height is set to 225,000th block - This is estimated to be early august. No changes will occur on the network
(including POW algo change) until after this block height.

2/ ASIC Miners will no longer be compatible miners for $IC. Only GPUs and some CPUs will have good mining results after
the fork height (block 225,000). This is due to the change from Scrypt (ASIC Algorithm) to Neoscrypt (ASIC-Resist
Algorithm). We hope this will increase decentralization even more.

3/ There are many scripts added to the `reporoot/scripts` folder of the repo. These scripts can do a lot of things,
check their name for a good start to what they do - and if you have any questions on how to use them, visit discord
chat here: https://discord.io/Ignition

4/ If you upgrade after the fork height (225,000th block), you *must* re-sync the blockchain data by deleting it (while
keeping your wallet.dat & configurations backed up).

5/ Nodes that run v1.0.0.3 or prior after the forkheight, 225,000th block, will be disconnected from upgraded nodes.
Any earnings on nodes that stay on old nodes will not be credited when they do upgrade their wallet, but coins earned
prior to the fork height will be safely stored in the same wallet.dat file.

6/ Masternodes can no longer use the "RewardAddress" and % configurations to send portions or all of their masternode
rewards to external addresses - This is to improve the structure of masternodes to be more hardened.

Download from our Github here: https://github.com/ignitioncoin/ignitioncoin/releases/tag/1.1.0.0

Just to be completely clear, we should upgrade to this new wallet NOW?

Will this affect POS rewards?
Will the existing wallet continue to have valid POS rewards NOW?
Will the new wallet have valid POS rewards NOW?

Thanks

Hello! Yes, you can upgrade now. The sooner you do the better, but not until block 225,000 (Aug 1-13th range) is it required.
It will only affect staking/POS ever if you fail to upgrade, and it will have valid POS rewards now, and later if you upgrade.

Hello everyone - Version 1.1 should be releasing this week some time.

You can see our progress & info about each and every change, as well as important notes about what changes will be in the version update:
https://github.com/ignitioncoin/ignitioncoin/projects/1

The primary changes are that we will be converting from Scrypt (ASIC Algo) to Neoscrypt (ASIC-Resist GPU Algo) - Retarget Algo will be changed to OSS to keep block timings and pow/pos ratios more stable, and many many smaller improvements

I've been a fan for months, staking rewards have been steady at 2 IC a day for balances over 400 coins. Would like to see a tutorial on how to use DarkSend properly.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your replies. I am actually happy with staking in Discord. I do get more rewards, than the interest of the bank on my savings;-)

Hi,

I have a small bag of IC. I stake them in Discord. Actually I like it, but still wondering if there’s a better place to stake in a pool?

Thanks for your feedback.

Cheers,
R

Another option is StakingLab.io
