taking over a old coin is not a easy job! promoting or RE-promoting a older coin is almost harder then starting fresh with a new one! when people see a coin get disregarded even by the original devs very little trust is given to even the best of devs that try to push this back into life.
im not saying that it cannot be done but what i am saying is that if the community is actually wanting the takeover then it should be a nice group of devs or quite a few people working on it to help the outreach even to those that have disregarded it already.
the coin is a valid coin and it has already passed its maturity from time so finding good people each willing to do what is possible to get this going

That would be awesome. Are you affiliated with FortuneJack besides your promo sig? One of the legitimate gambling site owners should definitely get behind this. Was very fun to mine.

No I am not an owner or a worker for Fortunejack, I only promote their website because of their Signature campaign.

But yes I agree, it would of been good if more casinos used Jackpot coins since it has much lower mining fees and faster mining times.

Is it really that hard to find a dev? I mean does the dev have to be a person with tons of experience of creating/working with coins and an expert programmer or just basic knowledge and learn during the development?

As I said before, im prepared to invest money into JPC development but I have no idea where to look for a dev.

I think the code needs to be re-written first before a node can be set up. We need a dev for this.

Basically hard fork it and start from scratch.

Faster when things are that slow wouldn't change things enough to provide any incentive to install imo. That's why I suggest a new chain, preferably on the Lisk codebase, but any other recent one would do the job.

Got my wallet up but have a really really hard time to sync.. im stuck at a block 155 days ago. Everything else seems intact. 100k+ transactions on file etc.

Since I'm no developer myself I cant offer that skill but I'm prepared to fund someone that can develop.

Would be great if we could rise this coin up from the ashes and make something of it.

New client that works faster on a Windows computer is needed. If people cant load their wallet the coin dies I guess.

How about lowering the amount of coins? Instead of billions have millions?

I think the solution would be to restart with a new codebase and do a coin swap. The current blockchain is bloated as hell and the wallet takes forever to load.
There are still 50 million coins ready for a good and motivated dev that would like to take over.
