So let me get this straight. Several of you invest your hard earned money into this project but insist on using the super buggy windows os. Then complain because windows is an extremely buggy insecure system.

Ubuntu is FREE. Ubuntu is widely supported. Ubuntu is EASY to install. Ubuntu is easy to use. Komodo works very well in Ubuntu. Ubuntu / komodo can even be run off a thumb drive for a cost of $5.

I understand that some of you might need to google some how-to questions about use, but all of the information is easy to find.

But I also understand that several of you won't even read up a few posts when often the answer to your repeated questions is there.

How did you get so far in life with out knowing how to look up anything? How did you become a crypto investor but insist on using the flawed windows os when an os that works is literally at your fingertips for free?

How come you guys have extra $ to invest but can't even buy a second cpu from craigslist for a ubuntu machine?

Tldr.

Windows is garbage, and you are an idiot if you are trying to keep your crypto on windows.

Agreed, I was a windows developer for years. Told colleagues that the versions in the 90's were compromised by the 'authorities' and I was laughed at, until Snowden. Began concentrating on nix based systems about 10 years ago and never looked back. I'm still a killer .NET dev but nix/vagrant/docker/ansible have made me into a ninja. Security on nix, well you pretty much have full control, depending on distro. I would never put crypto on windows, even if its a vm.

I'd suggest windows users start with ubuntu distro. Learn security and use firejail for untrusted software, https://firejail.wordpress.com .

When will the normal wallet for this coin be?
None of the tricks described here are helpful.
I tried the latest version of the wallet.

Well, I'm not an expert with the wallets but, I initially had problems with Agama but solved them quite easily by using "Native" mode rather than "Basilisk" mode. Native mode downloads the blockchain like QT wallets do and it's all on your computer not out there online. Make sure your seed is safe than start Agama in "Native" mode and WAIT for it to sync! There will be a progress indicator.

If you think the install is hosed, remove the current install and reinstall then do above. Biggest problem I see people having is lack of patience. Takes a while to sync up with nodes and takes a while to sync the blockchain first time in native mode but, worth the wait.

I installed the Agama new version and is going on perfectly on native mode with Komodo and Jumblr inported
I dont know how to import Revs
I try in the same way I imported Komodo an Jumblr but the balance remain 0,00
Can somebody say to me how to import Revs?

Problem is solving:
To import Revs I was using my komodo seed instead the Revs sead
Now looks it is importing using the Revs seed

YES!! Revs are imported
Agama is working 100% on native mode
Not loose your time trynk anothers wallets
This one works perfect!!
wheres the Revs seed come from, i tried with komodo seed and return 0. thanks in advance.

The Revs where distributed from the ico Komodo platform, (https://ico.komodoplatform.com/) and at the time of distribution they give us the adress and the seed

If you loose it, maybe it is a way to restore with your Komodo seed

Thanks for your answer, appreciated.

Hello. Bye.
Anyone else having problems with the Agama wallet? My funds just disappear and it takes forever for transaction history to load.
if you are having problems, please update to the latest

https://artifacts.supernet.org/latest/

native mode is the reliable method

I downloaded the new version but Im having a problem logging in. It says :

Zcash params are missing or imcomplete:

- proving key size is incorrect

and I can't activate a coin or log in.

Any help?

Please follow below instructions,

1) Download the zk-snark proving key & verifying key.

Zk-snark proving keys: https://z.cash/downloads/sprout-proving.key
Verifying keys: https://z.cash/downloads/sprout-verifying.key

2) While the keys are downloading let's paste following command to create the directory for ZcashParams:

3) mkdir “%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Roaming\ZcashParams” and place those keys in the directory

4) Execute Komodo.exe

Not gonna act like I know how to do any of that stuff but Im in the midst of downloading the swing wallet right now, hopefully that will show me my balance.

From my experience with Agama, one should download the latest version that fix a lot of bugs and issues. That is how came up my updated REVS and JUMBLR values and of course my KMD .

It is easy to bash windows, but windows 10 has made dramatic improvements to security. I would not recommend running an earlier version of windows.

one of the most earning projects in the last year.
will win again in the coming days
Its only a lull before the storm. I see great future lying ahead for Komodo and I am glad I could accumulate a bit on its way up. Still holding them for the next jump.

Wallet issue.  I cannot even get a clean install of the Swing Wallet to load (and that is supposed to be the stable wallet!)
The GUI launcher gets to "Activating best chain..." then just stays in a loop.  After a prolonged time, it times-out and provides an unfriendly as well as little helpful error about not able to make a connection.

When I run  komodo-cli.exe getinfo
error: couldn't connect to server: EOF reached (code 1)
(make sure server is running and you are connecting to the correct RPC port)

Wow.  Just wow.

Death of a cryptocurrency because users cannot use the provided wallets.  Sours the experience for potential users and miners.  Destroys trust and confidence early on.  Having a wallet that works for users is a basic and key tenant of adoption and success.

Any thoughts or remedies?  (again, a clean install of the Win wallet v0.8.0)

Above error says "your komodo is not running". make sure Komodo running and its fininished loading Blocks. Activating best chain is not an error, It is the way of loading blocks to database. check for debug log for errors.

If your were good with CLI version, Our Komodo Cli wallet is more stable than Swing wallet. Swing wallet inturn use cli  RPC calls. If you still unable to open wallet, will help you personally.

1) open cmd prompt Go to "c:\program files x86\komodogui
2) execute Komodo.exe
3) wait for a bit to Activate best chain and load blocks
4) open another Prompt in same Location execute below cmd
     komodo-cli getinfo

Thanks,
Nabob

Has anyone here try out this new instruction, I don't want to mess up things again, I believe by now the team should have outgrown all these complexity and complications that use to happen with their wallet, this is becoming a norm which is not supose to be so

I thought you were half way through, Even if i was in your shoes I ll do clean installation of Komodo Swing wallet. This will take care all, no manual work.
