Wallet issue.  I cannot even get a clean install of the Swing Wallet to load (and that is supposed to be the stable wallet!)
The GUI launcher gets to "Activating best chain..." then just stays in a loop.  After a prolonged time, it times-out and provides an unfriendly as well as little helpful error about not able to make a connection.

When I run  komodo-cli.exe getinfo
error: couldn't connect to server: EOF reached (code 1)
(make sure server is running and you are connecting to the correct RPC port)

Wow.  Just wow.

Death of a cryptocurrency because users cannot use the provided wallets.  Sours the experience for potential users and miners.  Destroys trust and confidence early on.  Having a wallet that works for users is a basic and key tenant of adoption and success.

Any thoughts or remedies?  (again, a clean install of the Win wallet v0.8.0)

Anyone else having problems with the Agama wallet? My funds just disappear and it takes forever for transaction history to load.
if you are having problems, please update to the latest

https://artifacts.supernet.org/latest/

native mode is the reliable method

I downloaded the new version but Im having a problem logging in. It says :

Zcash params are missing or imcomplete:

- proving key size is incorrect

and I can't activate a coin or log in.

Any help?

Please follow below instructions,

1) Download the zk-snark proving key & verifying key.

Zk-snark proving keys: https://z.cash/downloads/sprout-proving.key
Verifying keys: https://z.cash/downloads/sprout-verifying.key

2) While the keys are downloading let's paste following command to create the directory for ZcashParams:

3) mkdir “%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Roaming\ZcashParams” and place those keys in the directory

4) Execute Komodo.exe

Has anyone here try out this new instruction, I don't want to mess up things again, I believe by now the team should have outgrown all these complexity and complications that use to happen with their wallet, this is becoming a norm which is not supose to be so

I got Satoshi's avatar!
Hi all,

just checking if the issue with the notary nodes not issuing interest correctly has been fixed? I lost some KMD a couple of weeks ago when doing a transaction and just wanted to make sure it's fixed before it happens again.

Thanks

A post outlining exactly how to recreate one's wallet in Agama using our Komodo private key would be very helpful. I've been stuck without access to my KMD for quite some time now, due to regularly crashing software. Sad

(All I have is my private key, not my seed phrase)

This happens every time I try to launch Agama selecting normal mode:

If I click OK, I am able to activate a coin. I chose Basilisk mode, clicked activate coin, selected Komodo. I entered my private key into private seed (mistake?) and it seems to have generated an entirely new wallet, rather than loading up my existing one.

Private key and private seed are different.  Seed is like 12 random words.

You are using old Agama version, which indeed missing config.json file.

Use latest Agama version (0.2.0.22a)

If it were my issue I would move wallet.dat somewhere for backup then run komodod -reindex

maybe somehow that wallet.dat got corrupted. if you have the privkeys anyway no problem or just try fresh install. seems strange to be stuck at 93% ..reindex may fix and to eliminate variables just try with a new wallet

Doing exactly this right now, thank you.
How long does the process take, and what should my next steps be after this?

Is this message normal?

Open another Cmd prompt  in the same location, Type below command

komodo-cli.exe getinfo

I too can't sign into the Agama wallet and the swing wallet is not working for me either.  Its absurd that there isn't a stable gui wallet yet.

Above is an atomic swap deposit claim by the alice side, which had no bitcoind running locally.

Hah, wtf that's awesome if I understand what just went down!!

Ok, so just what I thought happened, happened. If you don't understand what jl777 just posted, do yourself a favor and find out. I can't understate the significance of this. This is game changing stuff.
