yes,but you run the risk of getting burnt

Risk? In crypto? Tongue Sorry, just not quite following how burnt applies to his sell high, buy low technique.

Sold at 0.0008BTC so buying back in at 0.00046 - 0.00049 is a good re-entry point.

If it were my issue I would move wallet.dat somewhere for backup then run komodod -reindex

maybe somehow that wallet.dat got corrupted. if you have the privkeys anyway no problem or just try fresh install. seems strange to be stuck at 93% ..reindex may fix and to eliminate variables just try with a new wallet

Hey KomodoPlatform, are you able to help me? I can never sync the blockchain - it always fails around the 93% mark. Even if I delete my blocks and chainstates folders.

Is there anything else I can do here? All I have is my private key - I don't have the seed phrase.

When I try run the command line, I see the following. Is this an error?

It's using 25% of my CPU (thus one full core) and about 300mb of RAM, but looks like no network bandwith. The first 90% or so use a ton of data.

if you are using swing wallet, no seed required. agama uses the seed.

what indicator provides the information about blockchain being at 93%? perhaps you are mistaken. the img you show i see that warning also its not critical. however it is at this moment that komodod uses big mem and processor to do its work. i have a fast machine and it required a good long pause before it proceeds and has the chain loaded enabling the swing wallet to function.

my suggestion to eliminate variables and potential confusion as to what the problem actually is- run 'komodod -printtoconsole' . then watch and wait. dont even load any wallets just see that komodod loads up fine. and subesquently loads the entire blockchain. if the whole chain has not yet been downloaded it may require an overnight or more depending on connection speed to complete. there is a numerical indicator that will inform you of this. with the blockchain loaded you can run komodo-cli for wallet function or also the swing wallet should load without error. if error at that step its due to problems with swing wallet installation.

also agama in basilisk mode may work better for you. really i think the issue is your are not allowing the blockchain to load and perhaps confusing the error.

Hi - thanks. If you scroll up a few posts above the one you quoted, you'll see I explained in more detail and with more screenshots. As you will see in one of the screenshots posted, it reaches 93%and fails. This has happened without exaggeration about 15-20 times.

Happy to do the printtoconsole command as you say, but trust me, I've left it running overnight many times, only to be stuck at 92 or 93% then either nothing happens (no bandwidth being used by the swing wallet application) or I get the error message in the screenshot. My hard drives have many gigabytes free, my machine has 8GB RAM, and I have a 100mbps broadband connection.

I could not find a video in youtube about how to use KMD with ledger nano s, i've never used it yet...

KMD can be sent to BTC address , or will be lost?

There is a step by step instructions on installing komodo on Ledger Nano S or Ledger Blue. You can find it on ledger support website here. Video instructions is currently not available anywhere. It would be good if someone here will create a simple and informative video tutorial.

Komodo Team I must say I'm very impressed by the recent velocity of the platform, from both a technology and human freedom perspective.

I have a question for the komodo development team. What are the best methods for developers to contribute to the platform? Specifically to decentralize the ongoing development and release process to the global community.

Hi! I have seen that you are starting a new marketing campaign.

I think you could create a profile on Investfeed.com, a new social network dedicated to cryptocurrencies and promote the project. It's new, but it is growing step by step

regards
