I have not experied delay in distribution, neither any sort of bug in ICO site

You should read back the thread. There was a huge delay because ICO Page was not ready.

Want you help to Iguana development?
I dont, because i dont have the technical Knowledge. But if people ask for money for a project, they should know what they do, right?

I dont say it is easy to build something like that. It is certainly not. Its a really hard business.

For me (and some others here too it seems) it looks like the team is unable to cope with the situation and (what is way more disturbing) to get a realistic view on it.

The situation has already been dealt with.  So what is the issue?

The realistic view is KMD has been out for about 1.5 months,  the scope of what it is trying to accomplish is large and experimental  there are bound to be issues along the way.  The team acted quickly and professionally in dealing with this.

The initial ICO distribution was delayed a couple weeks due to implementing the btcd swap.  At this time no one received coins,  so no party benefitted,  there were no exchanges accepting kmd so no one lost out on trading.      It just another case of idiots making a big fuss over non-issues

Today komodo volume is almost the same of Litecoin volume on bittrex

It doesn't seem like the price is really dropping, but maybe too early to call.

The Fuding of some users here is quite annoying, thats right. At least as annoying as the people which run around with closed eyes and say everything is fine.

Delayed Distribution, Buggy ICO Page and Wallet and now the hack...

We should look at the facts, its a fucking chaos. And the prce is reflecting that.

Delayed distribution - About 95% of KMD has been distributed.  It is done manually for security reasons, the frequency of which is dictated by demand.  Currently processed weekly on a Friday.

Buggy ICO page - Not had any issues personally

Wallet - Bugs exist as its new, many have been fixed in 0.1.5.2e build and development is ongoing.

Hack - resolved within hours.  Heard anyone here complaining they lost any coins?

Things will settle down shortly and life will carry on.  Too many drama queens here.

He probably didn't expect a big return in the first few weeks, but he was complaining about suffering a big loss in the first several weeks after launch.  That is not unreasonable.

And why does it matter how much he initially invested?   Do you want to know his favorite color too?

You have been here long enough to realise that crypto is probably one of the highest risk investments out there.

If you think good returns are guaranteed within a few weeks of launch then you need a dose of reality.

KMD is not some copy & paste shit coin utilising a standard Qt wallet so there will be bugs and issues to iron out over time and if you cant handle that you may be better off dumping and grabbing the latest "Classic" coin released.

Very sad day for KMD. I don't know if it will ever bounce back from this.  It was already drifting steadily lower.  But time will tell.

Price is the same, not sure what coin you mistook KMD for on the trading list. It may have dropped a penny from the last I looked at it. Look at the USD notation, it is about 8-9 cents. This is about what trading started at around 10 cents. Most of the loss is in liquidity for having ICO funds tied up for so long.

I can't figure out why people care about a Fork. I know Decentralized this and that, but security is first and a Fork means nothing in the end especially when there is new development involved. It is not Forking to save 1 investor who got coins taken or a large exchange theft of some sort. It is a bug that must be addressed or all investors lose their ICO funds to it. So why would people think that all are in agreement that everyone should now just take a loss if Forking is the ultimate shame.

Only thing a Fork would have an effect on is trading for goods and services. The only services that got shorted are the Notary nodes and the supply. Had the coin been sent for goods and they shipped it would be a different story. I consider most alt coins a way to send Bitcoin faster anyways and sometimes you can make money from them after a transfer. So think about that for a while and then realize a Fork to save an Alt is actually good as most people are so dead set against Bitcoin forks. So we have the best of both worlds. Again you can lose by getting into Alts if most people just do exchanges, but this could be cheaper if people just realize they could make a decent percent by facilitating transfers. There could be walls too that allow this to transpire at very low losses. So when you consider that there are X amount of Bitcoin inside of KMD, why the hell would anyone take a loss on any of their KMD when it represents Bitcoin value, which is why there is a marketcap to see how many coins there are vs the value of the ICO and BTCD holdings.

Very simple concepts. Also, can't Cryptox find the ID of the hacker now? At least share some forensic's and nab the BTC at another exchange.

Wooh! I had a very long back-read. Been disappointed with the buggy wallets but I felt very glad at how main dev will spend his own money to refund some of the victims.

And btw what are other effects on a rollback that I saw lots of people screaming? Not an IT guy but I felt devs made the right decision.

Thats about all the effects of the rollback,    the hacker unlimited coin creation chain will fork off into its own thing,   komodo chain will update   illegal coins are removed and tx  that happened will get reversed.  james is doing compensation for legitimate tx that were reversed.

This shows the strength of a division of powers and delayed proof of work.   With delayed proof-of-work  you can look at the btc blockchain for the last legitimate block hash,   with the notary node system  solutions to problems and updates can be quickly deployed.

Wondering why Nxt and Vericoin are not part of the wallet anymore.

Any important reasons why? Both coins were the main reason why I had used the Supernet Wallet before Iguana was released.

NXT afaik will not be a part of iguana.  Vericoin ( and its reserve, Verium) is more than welcome to part of iguana,  the issue surrounding this is that vericoin has made enough different changes to its code that messes with compatibility,  if vericoin devs could provide a solution for this then  it could be in the coin lineup.

The most important is the market value of the KMD. It is important to protect this value.
It is already already well below the ICO level, so they need to protect market value by using this negativity to find new investors.
This is my anticipation as an investor.

Please go back and look the same value drop in Bitcoin/Dash/Monero/ETH...

Stop asking for something impossible. This is crypto not your regular Fond stockmarket.

i hate to post here any more.

but plz don't ever compare this half-ass finished junk to any of established coins.

tks
