that cg miner is not working for maxcoin..

Another strike against already proven incompetent devs. Where did Max find theses clueless wonders?

Maybe not a popular opinion, but shouldn't we contact developers to ask for delay before CGminer for keccak would be released? Cause if they talk about fairness, Nvidia guys already have advantage on both cpu and ati users. And I don't see how less fair start could be than it is now.

Anyone know if this is really going up on: https://mcxnow.com/ - as of now, nothing up on site but a lot of people saying they read on chat..
I just asked RealSolid:

So yes, it's going to be added on McxNow

Cheers- any idea why he hasnt gone public with this?  Talk of tweets, but as of now havent seen anything.

just a point of note,

they said in their statement 13 hours ago that wallets would be available from morning time to allow everyone download.

its now 13.05 and no sign of the password protected wallets...hmmm another fubber i think

i have read that someone got the cuda miner to work for the new algro, but this is not set in stone, just becacuse a benchmark works does not mean it will work with the maxcoin wallet.

I think if you want good volume initially it will be coins-e simply because the devs have been pushing it and they have had 1000's of registrations in anticipation of maxcoin.

This is on an 8 core XL Azure free trial:

Code:

[2014-02-06 04:57:31] Total: 6248 khash/s

I am rather new to this mining stuff. I think I'm doing the same as you are doing with the same XL system with CentOS, but three issues come up:

1. I don't see any of the "Binding thread..." lines
2. My individual thread hash is ~912 khash/s

I don't know why this is the case.

wow this coin has gone from hero to zero real quick in my books.
failed lauunch and know a select few get to gpu mine while the rest stuck with cpu
are the devs getting worse or is it just me. are they just out to try make a quick buck and do not care about the future of crypto all that much . i dont know maybe its just me.

Select few can GPU mine?  Where and who?  Please link.

It's quite obvious, but he didn't announce it explicitly on Twitter. He did it on the mcx chat.

He's talking about that right now.

So whats the consensus, which exchange are we going to use coins e or MCX? volume will be an issue so its better to figure this out

mcxNOW will be able to handle the load.  I don't think coins-e would.

I think mcxnow.com is definitely the better choice, it's very fast and you get interest on deposits. The question is how soon will rs implement it? Keep posting on chat to make him implement it quickly
