$10 really for all of yesterday! --- > 5mhs! ( this whole week has been sucky! )

Unless im missing something there should be a big sign that says you wasting your time and electricity if you dont mine n-scrypt here at trade my bit... have i hit it on the nail? Is tomorrow gonna be $5 for the whole day?

I havent really checkout out vtc or panada and it seems there is alot to learn..  aghhh

Well, Scrypt-N is much more profitable than Scrypt anywhere right now, but today's profits suffered two issues. 1) Leaf performed horribly (see my news item on the website in that regard) and we ended up spending around 50% of our time on it with the standard multiport). 2) Doge is heavily delayed, should post today.

I do apologize about the bad streak we've had, but scrypt profits should start being respectable again moving forward. Scrypt-N is still where the money is right now though.

Merc:  What do you mean when  you say that the PANDA coin crashed?  Also, secondly, when do you believe it will come back again so profits will go back up?
I am running a 1.7-1.8MH/s rig on cgminer, compiled and switched to vertminer and now only run about 700Kh/s?!  Is that normal and if so...what do you think I should "average" as a profit.  It's hard for me to gauge this when I am used to cgminer when you can describe everything in .012btc/1Mh/s for example.....seems to be COMPLETELY different in vertminer.  I know you are busy, but could please clarify that a bit for me.  Also, on my rig mentioned, I am running 4 R9 270x GPU's that get me to that ~700K mark BUT I am running into HW errors.  It's not crashing vertminer, nor idling or stalling the gpu's so I have been ignoring it for the past day or two (when I started vertminer) but if you have any suggestions on this as well.....I am all ears because I plan on working on this issue this weekend.  Thanks, and sorry for the long post.

Just temporary disable auto-exchange.

Pointed my Scrypt-N rig to your Scrypt-N multipool,

One question is where can i see some more detail stats about my rig? There is just dashboard in website showing info about whole site and a little about me.

Very top of each page has your speed.
Statistics will show you your coins

do you have any backup pools for n-scrypt mining or just the us one?

Hi,

how would I have to configure cgminer under BAMT 1.3 to mine on your scrypt-N pool? or just use default settings?

Scrypt-N coins (Panda and VTC) both have scores factored that assume 45% of your scrypt hashrate.

45% is close for me too as I am at 46.8% after more tweaking while the R9 270x is still dragging down the average.

Thanks for the feedback!

After some tweaking I am getting right about 45% so I think you're spot on there.

I'll let it run for a few days and try to remember to post back with my findings if I remember, as suggested by vrm86.

Like right this very moment Panda's score is 247.9 and VTC's is 224.2 which is significantly higher than anything else. Are these scores weighted against the fact that you only get about 30% to %40 of the hash rate (based on my extremely limited testing)? Or is that not a factor.

Good question. Please post your conclusions when you do the research Smiley

Scrypt-N coins (Panda and VTC) both have scores factored that assume 45% of your scrypt hashrate. So if you only get 30%, then the score may be a bit higher than your results.. but at this present time, scrypt-N multiport (on port 2220) is blowing away regular scrypt in terms of profits.

Update: I see a question like this was answered with an expected 2.5x gain over LTC. If so well then awesome! Anyway you can probably just ignore the original question, but I'll leave it in the post here.

---------------

Question on that scrypt-n mining. Specifically towards your scoring. They consistently have the highest scores. Like right this very moment Panda's score is 247.9 and VTC's is 224.2 which is significantly higher than anything else. Are these scores weighted against the fact that you only get about 30% to %40 of the hash rate (based on my extremely limited testing)? Or is that not a factor. I'm making assumptions on a scoring system I know nothing about so I know I might be way off base.

Regardless, I'm just going to point a couple of GPU's at it for a few days and see how it pays out and get the answer for myself, but I was curious.

Wow.  Merc suggests mining VTC while PANDA was unstable.  25 minutes later, he implements multipool between them.

I suppose that this is the first scrypt-N multipool.  To my knowledge there are only 2 scrypt-N currencies.  You couldn't jump on the scrypt-N multipool bandwagon with any fewer.

Good job.  Sometime in the future, the difficulty function will make GPU mining of some currencies obsoleted by CPU mining while others will still be profitable.  I suppose that will complicate things in the future.

I'm not impressed at all.
If to take into consideration that yesterday I got 50% less than just simply mining ltc directly then
today's payout makes things equal which means that past 3 day profit was just the same as mining ltc.

I'm sorry you're not impressed. The past 4 days have been substandard. It happens though, we have great days and bad days.. you just happened upon some bad days.

Scrypt-N profits are sky-high right now though, so there is some reprieve

Thanks

First off, just switched earlier today at the recommendation of a friend. So far, I'm VERY impressed. Thanks!

I was wondering about an API. Specifically if there will be one (or if it's being considered) or if there already is one? I read the FAQ, did some Googling, and searched this thread and didn't find anything. Personally I'm just interested in my own information (worker info, the stuff on the statistics screen, etc) but I'm sure something more global would result in people making cool sites full of graphs. Everyone loves graphs!

But my question is about the coming scrypt-N multi-port feature. How will this work exactly, will it continue as general multi-port and able to convert the hash rate to the scrypt-N mining even through normal scrypt miners or will it be a own multi-port group that only work with scrypt-N miners?

I have thought about this problem.  I judge switching between scrypt-jane and scrypt-N to be an unsolvable problem for multipool unless...
  • The miners themselves are modified.  I am using vertminer.  It requires a restart to switch from "scrypt-vert".
  • A clever batch file or shell script manages the miner(s).

It would be nice to switch between scrypt types, but I suspect that the reliable solution will be to ONLY MINE ONE OR THE OTHER.
