There are too many coins for it to go back up, about 40 mil every week are being minted.

which would be approx 25,000,000 per week.

FIFY

So that's how Payu is calculating his $1 / MZC target -- all we need is  this $ 25 million per week infusion into the currency about 40000 BTC right ?

BUY BUY BUY !

The minting figures you guys are posting assume everyone holding MZC is minting coins. This is not the case. I would reckon most don't mint MZC just like PPC.

5000 MZC are born every 2 minutes the 1st year -- mazacoin.org
That gives 5000*30*24*7 = 25200000 new MZC per week

Payu is targeting $1 / MZC so that's $ 25.2 millions new dollars need to be sunk into this coin each week !  we must update the logo ASAP !

Oh we are talking apples and oranges then... you are talking the first year, and I was averaging out the total over 5 years...I realise the coin flow will not be steady...and less should be mined as each year passes... and I had not remembered 5000 MZC are born every 2 minutes the 1st year, so yeah that makes sense.

If the time comes when ink and paper meet and if this get signed off as an official currency.. then the $ will really really flow.

Thinking about it.. what have they got to lose?  I cannot see why they cannot officially say they have adopted Maza as an official currency in their eyes, and that it is their currency, but they will also continue to use and recognise and accept $ - that way they do not challenge anything so much, they just add an addition to their laws, for their people,  I imagine there are other laws that they take quite seriously that outsiders do not care about or have to abide by. If they adopted the currency in this way, then if the fed gov were to react in a heavy handed way then that would be seen as most as childish and as just a way of keeping the boot to their throats.. why not help and encourage this and in turn the Lakota I say.  Plus with NY regulators handing out applications for exchanges... the FED gov should really really just give the Lakota 100% free reign, let them try and fail... if it means that they can pull themselves out of poverty, and build something then that would be good for all .. good for the gov- no more handouts, less to do/be involved in, one less worry... and a new "neighbour" plus the world would actually be very impressed at this behaviour from the USA- the Lakota would really benefit if this all worked out well, the crypto currency world would have another rather special enclave...... what bad could really come of it for the US gov?  come on... when you take everything into account, they have far far far far bigger problems!! they should welcome this with open arms! it would be very forward thinking.. and win win.

edit.. I cannot see what the Lakota have to lose from doing this... which is why I think they will...

Also those handouts that everyone keeps talking about... they are not long for this world anyways! and the Lakota.. apart from wanting to build something for the future on their own lands, must know that.. the handouts are not long for this world!!!

Edit: If this is what they want to do, actually the world (err Europeans/"the settlers"?) should do everything they can to make it happen for them... they are OWED far more than that in my eyes.

?? am I missing something

TOTAL      2,400,000,000  over 5 years.
per year   (divided by 5) =   480,000,000 1 years worth
per month   (divided by 12) =   40,000,000 1 months worth
Per week    (divided by 4) =   10,000,000 1 weeks worth
Per day   (divided by 7) =   142,8571.429 1 days worth

It would be better to work out the week rate by dividing the year by 52 , or the the day rate by dividing the month by 4.3 and various other blah blah...   but seeing as the figures are averaged out,  not worth it.

I feel this has happened to my 5BTC...

 Sad

You aren't the only one. I made 3.6 BTC off the first major pump, then re-invested half of it back into Maza near all time high :| We don't have much to lose anymore by holding.

"This coin has been the worst investment I have ever made, there are loads of bag holders left on this one."

-> It is a VERY hard to keep a coin like this. It should be sold at the top and bought back from the dip. But if u have hold allready all the way down, why not to hold all the way back up?

I thought that there were to be approx 2,400,000,000 over 5 years
which would be approx 480,000,000 per year
which would be approx 40,000,000 per month
which would be approx 10,000,000 per week.
which would be approx 142,8571 per day
which would be approx 59,523 an hour
which would be approx .......... na only kidding.

I know there will not be a smooth averaged out flow of coins... but just to keep it simple..

YES BUY BUY BUY

Its a great coin you will be holding it forever and leave it to your kids!

Yep, people should ignore the huge coin count, if the ink finally does dry on a tribal government's approval, there will be several billion pouring in to buy up every coin multiple times over.

I don't think we have enough buyers. Too much supply, not enough demand.

Your spot on there mate, there's about 40 million coins minted per week, the price just keeps dropping and dropping.

I bought in at 10K, then at 6K the get my average down, I had to buy more again then at 3K to get my average down further, and yet the price still keeps dropping, I honestly think this coin is dead. I may just cut my 80% losses and buy Spain coin, that actually looks promising, and there was no lying about them being an official currency.

This coin has been the worst investment I have ever made, there are loads of bag holders left on this one.

If you view it as a long term coin then it might worth something in the future, I've lost around 4btc, however since I'm going to hold on for the long term, it doesn't bother that much.

We were all so excited to get added to Cryptsy, and then the reality hits when we have to wait 30+ minutes, or maybe even close to an hour for deposits on coins which are instant transfer and fast confirmation. I hate that about exchanges. It seems like they ruin the convenience and speed of crypto transfers when it takes as long as western union to transfer money around.

"So, how low is this price going to go? I'm ready to buy."

-> Better start to buy once the curve heads towards north again

"Look familiar?  I think we've still got the dump to come, though."

-> This moment will determine Maza Coins faith. It will prevail if we hold.

The same was true last week when people were buying many btcs worth at 15k. It's just all perception. The same amounts were produced last week but that didn't stop the influx of btc coming in pumping the price up.
