Hi everyone! I'm starting new tests for my Raspberry PI node... I'm using a very precise signal generator to run my RPI replacing the generic Crystal Oscillator with this good one, my tests show good results for overclock too. But i need some ways to tests this experiment, if all runs with success i will try to keep this node running for a long time (it was in a electronics research lab what i work), this signal generator have an rubidium oscillator internally, what makes the generated signal very precise, please someone knows some way to test if the node is really good (i already have done some stress tests with success). The setup is:

-Raspberry Pi model B;
-SMB 100A Rohde & Schwarz Signal / Microwave generator;
-Raspbian Jessie with 4.9.24+ RT kernel;
-BNC cable to transport the signal to RPI board;
-100MB Bandwidth connection but the RPI 1 limits to 10MB/s the BW;
-700MHz to 1033MHz overclocked BCM2835 CPU.

-> In the future I will start to play with RPI 3 Model B+, but for now RPI 1 sounds ok.
-> The node IP is 143.107.228.226 - Running client v1.4.0 and staking ok.

A late birthday present for Neva




The first decentralized cryptocurrency ever to be created as a gift for someone's birthday. At 1457344680 unix time is my girlfriend's 25th birthday (her name is Neva if that isn't obvious) and since she is abroad at the moment I figured this is the best gift I can give her remotely. Who wouldn't want a global decentralized peer to peer network cryptocurrency platform named after them as a birthday gift, right? Don't worry, I will also give her a less geeky gift when she comes back

What is the purpose of this coin?

- 0% PoS, fixed block rewards ensure predictable supply increase.

- Unlike most of PoW/PoS Hybrids, this one will have a very long PoW phase. The network will stop accepting PoW blocks in approximately 14 years. The goal is to gain a mining chance, even to people that stumble upon it years later in the future.

- Gain some interest from the female half of the population (starting with Neva). Lets be honest the cryptocurrency community is still a sausage fest

- Blake2s mining algorithm.

- Blake2s PoS block hashing - friendly to low end hardware. Raspberry-Pi nodes...etc.

- Slow emmision. The PoW and PoS reward is 5 NEVAs. The reward will halve for both at block height 2628000. That is approximately 7 years until the first halving. After the second halving at block height 5256000 the PoW phase will be over, continued only by PoS with 1.25 NEVA reward, which will halve again in 2628000 blocks...etc.

- The low reward and long PoW phase is meant to avoid the insta-mine by handful of people.

   - You do not need the rpcuser/password parameters in the nevacoin.conf to run the daemon. You can still use them if you want, but if they are not provided an authentication cookie file will be generated in the .nevacoin directory and also deleted on shutdown. So one less thing you have to do if you want to run a headles node for staking.

Hi this is a party of any PoS cryptocurrency. Someone was just a slighty faster on informing the network of the new blocks discovery. Cant really avoid having conflicted blocks.

So any news on further development?

I'm running a full node 24/7 with 12k of Nevacoins in my wallet, I'm very happy with the stacks, about 70 Nevas free per day 

Coinomi wallet does not stake, Stake wallet requires a full blockchain to be synched.

PS: Note that the current .apk for android is beta release so please treat it as such and as @krile wrote testing only no big ammounts.

There are 3 electrums online right now, 4th in japan is in maintenance.

actually andrioid wallet has a great function in it so its only best to use and telling to others.

Should be at least 1GB. If you have less you need to enable swap.

I had these kind of problems on raspberrypis and cheap VPSs that have 512MB ram...

I just run this what is ram size should I have?

This could be your machine running out of ram. Did you run make with multiple threads (like make -j4) ? If yes try just make (single thread)
