I am also interested in donating the DOT.

Devs, can you setup a donation address we can use?

OHM coin is growing every day. With the ever-changing crypto-currency world, we are looking forward to the future. The growth of our coin depends on the strength of our community.
We have created a donation account so we may be listed on more exchanges. Thank you in advance for your belief in our coin and the future of OHM.

I know that this Ohm coin, unlike any other coins, requires that we become semi-active in the community.

I am asking our Ohm community. In stead of asking the developer to do everything, can we make some contribution ourselves as well.?
Can each of us donate 1000 DOT or any DOT amount toward the listing?
We are still a 100K market cap coin not a multi-million dollar coin. We'll get there with our Ohm community strong.

Cryptopia has had a blockbuster hit with chain coin going from 10 cents to over $6 (the at one point chain coin touches $100 million market cap last month). This exchange can provide new high and mainstream recognition for Ohm

In a way, I'm looking forward to contribute. I feel like taking part of a successful journey with Ohm.
We need 400,000 DOT for the listing on Cryptopea.

To get it started, I am donating 2,500 DOT of my own coin toward the listing.

Start getting some DOT now trading here on Nova.

What I know about Ohm wallet and related project is that it is a volunteer project. No one gets paid for doing the work they're doing. They have to invest their own money to buy shares of Ohm coin themselves, and hopefully their hard work and dedication pays off in appreciation of Ohm coin.

The only advantage members of the Ohm team have is the early investor advantage, but now that the price is low, anyone can take advantage of this just like early investors. Ohm's development is slow but steady; in this market, people want to be rich today or tomorrow. That's not what it's all about. We want solid practical use of Ohm and its value will derive from this utility.

That said, getting listed onto larger exchanges is crucial to the success of Ohm. Exchanges with low volume just doesn't provide enough liquidity, so the prices stall.

Here's where we're at! Apologies, again, for the sporadic nature of updates. We've got a lot going on. Here are some highlights:

  • We are developing our own software to manage social media and host the organizational/project side of things.
  • We are in talks with an RFID developer about potential applications for OHM. Don't expect anything out of this soon, but we're hoping to develop some innovative real-world applications based on this exciting technology. Since this was mentioned in a previous update, progress has been made, in that we are now actively talking with a developer instead of "planning on it."
  • We've backed off the exchanges, somewhat for a number of reasons. The feeling is that we may have progressed a little too quickly, which resulted in our hitting a wall with the more high-volume exchanges. We have lots of talent, but as a volunteer organization, coming up with the bitcoin to fund premium listings is proving problematic. So, we're trying to get a little more cohesive first. With that in mind, next item:
  • We're looking into incorporating as a not-for-profit organization, then moving on to the 501c (one step at a time). We've got some potential sources for pro bono legal assistance in this process. Once this is done, we'll be launching a patreon account, and start accepting donations. In the meantime, given the lengthiness of this process, we might consider operating as a general partnership, but more information is needed on the particulars of this: it's potentially high-risk.
  • We're still hard at work on branding. Not much more to say about that, other than we want to look spiffy. Also, sound spiffy. Videos, music, and a more coherent visual theme are all WIPs.

Thank you for bearing with us and supporting us with your continued questions, involvement in the community, etc. It's deeply appreciated. I know it sounds like we haven't made a lot of solid progress, but the truth is that we've got a much more refined mission (and more specific, short- and long-term goals) than we've had to work with in the past.

I don't think anyone is against the dev team paying to get on Cryptopia as it would be well worth it no matter the situation.

This coin has momentum, let's not lose that ;-)

I don't quite understand this part. By backing off means like... We are leaving from some exchanger we are already listed on? We stopped asking for a new exchanger to add us? Or both?

Yes, it is also not clear, explain, please. From what exchange you refused.[/list]

In fact I have some amount of OHM and don't prefer trading it. Instead I leave my wallet open and stake. I don't trade becaues I believe OHM is underpriced now and expect it to become at least $1 in short term. Suach as in one year. Then after OHM is listed on bigger exchange sites we will see where the price goes.

Patience my friend  Wink

If you want to get your questions answered instantly use Discord Chat https://discord.gg/8zyRRh3 This is where the community and developers are hanging out.
They are hundreds of pages of Discord Chat conversation.

It seems they are not active on this bitcointalk even though this is the launch pad for coins.

Ohm took a weekend off from trading with volume only $100.
My analysis is the people who have Ohm know the value and are staking aren't selling for cheap.
People who don't know Ohm are not gonna pay at high price. So, we are at stand still.
Earlier this morning someone quits and dumps bunch of Ohm driving the price back to the baseline

Ohm should be worth $1 or more just several months from now. It was already worth almost 1 cent a few days ago.

-Ohm is pegged to a growing community of various interests like alternate reality. Some of them I still don't understand. They do have a mind and development of their own and Ohm is the currency.

-Android Wallet: ran into an unexpected computer meltdown problem causing a delay, but the team is expediting its completion.
Once it is completed, should it be allowed for peer to peer exchange for goods and services, this would be a major breakthrough.

-RFID Technology: RFID-based network for real-world OHM distribution. A chip that's embedded in the tree with a small infusion of OHM.
This could reward the planter, or they could use it to get other people in their local community involved.
Very interesting and more importantly the idea /application of their use -RFID implanted in trees? From a science fiction to real life perspective, I give a cool factor 9/10

Besides it being one of the best staking coins, it is also the one of most transparent with explorer. Just found out Novaexchange holds the largest amount in the wallet #1 rank, but it is a place holder for community trading.

Biggen, I agree with you that they need to be more active with coin development value & to get it listed on the majors.
I voted free and paid to vote on Livecoin. There were only 6 votes then.
I proposed that we gather 200,000 DOT to pay and get listed on Cryptopia. Just pay and get listed, but no one gets back on my post.

For a long time there was no news on the site. There it is written:Thanks for reading, and as always, make sure to come back and check these updates regularly!
A month has passed, it seems that something can be written. We wait. Wink

Little information about the coin on youtube.com.You can do some kind of review on a coin, something to interest the people.

Community, it turns out not active. Please vote for free for a coin for livecoin, did not succeed.17 votes.Ha-ha-ha. Of course it's free under one condition, but it is easily feasible (register, get at the stock exchange, at least, Dogecoin, vote and withdraw You can back). In general, as they say it would be a desire. Here you have acts of kindness.

OHM is one of the best staking coins I've ever seen...

Hold/accumulate/stake.

I actually want to know how to stake. I asked dev before (I don't remember on this thread or on the old one) if I have to keep my wallet running or I can just let it sit and it'll automatically stake.

And TBH, I don't really remember dev's answer, I think it was that I don't have to run it 24/7, I can just let it sit but I have to log in every now and then to claim my stake. And uhh... I logged in every one or two weeks, run my wallet around 2-3 hours every time I logged in and mint it, but I never got any stake.

How do I stake, actually?

Ohm is my first crypto. I had no experience in mining. It's really easy.

1. From Ohmwallet.com ----> click Download and install the Ohm wallet app (currently only desktop/laptop PC, Mac, or Linux)
2. Open Ohm wallet. It will try to synchronize with the network and download blocks.
During this synchronizing and downloading blocks. It may freeze or get stuck. I had to restart the Ohm Wallet 8 times took about 1.5 hour to finish,
while I was doing other stuff on the computer. This is freezing is a communication issue, but once it is synchronized, it works really well -no shutting off
  again.
3. On your Ohm Wallet click tab ----> receive coin -This is your address to receive Ohm. There is no private key. You will need to backup wallet .DAT to keep your Ohm coins save. Like video games, save often when you receive or accumulate coins. Also, save to external hard drives or USB drives.

You cannot mine/ mint until the sync is finished. Then you buy Ohm from the exchange and withdraw to your Ohm address.  Encrypt and unlock to mine/mint. Save or remember your encrypt password. That's it. New coins also need 8 hours to mature.
-The amount you will receive is 20% per year (the more Ohm you have in the wallet, the better because you get more). This amount is reduced by 5%
  per (network) year.
-I keep my PC Laptop running. It will go half sleep, screen turn off, no fan, but still mining/ minting. This 7 years old  (Windows 7) Laptop PC with 32 web browser tabs and Ohm wallet and everything running all together shows  7-10% CPU usage at the moment.
-I keep my PC running because it's helping the network verifying transactions, and for that you get paid in Ohm. So, it is a reasonable trade off.
I do not know about shutting it off and turning it on every once in awhile, not helping the network and still getting paid? Something for nothing? If everyone is able to do that, no transaction would be verified. Nobody get paid. No Ohm network
-The CPU usage is very small. May be you should buy a cheap used PC just for mining/ minting. If you're not willing to do that, just buy and deposit to your wallet and don't bother to mine/ mint all together.
-It is rewarding to receive POS rewards from mining/ minting. The amount varies some small, some large, some very large. it's like playing lotto, kind of fun.

-------------------
Just checked CPU usage for Ohm alone consumes 0-1% CPU power on my laptop.
