You have to remember the time difference.

They will ship within 48 hours (2 days from Beijing time). If you ordered it yesterday, most likely your order will be send tomorrow as I am in the same boat... Worst case it will be sent on Saturday buy after so many orders there are yet to fail to ship my order after 48 hours...

Patience you must have my young padawan

Well I paid £90 with UPS per miner and I am paying £65 with DHL however DHL is sllloooooow.

Also I was bit disappointed that the Bitmain is shipping us used miners but considering it is cheap and I can receive it within days and they do have an OK customer service that actually reply back to you it makes it OK. I really hope they will ship brand new Antminer S2 rather mine with it for weeks (or even mining now considering they are selling the old machines) and ship us the used miners.

It seems to be a industry wide problem that manufacturers mine with the machines for weeks and then ship the miners. This is far worse with pre-orders.

It's not a problem if they deliver on time.  The only reason so called "pre-mining" is a problem is when manufactures fraudulently advertise and early delivery date and then delay the delivery date in order to charge a higher price and still use the equipment to mine for their own account.

Pretty much that is the biggest problem... At least people mining with GPUs (Scrypt) get a brand new GPU and you will breaking it's cheery... Only way to solve this problem is start buying chips and put the boards together yourself...

Guys, if you are ordering now, ask them to send it via UPS, cause i had 3 orders with ups, and i payd for each around 50 $ Custom taxes, now they shipped with DHL, and they ask me almost 1 bitcoin for 3 units.

I had already cleaned it, plugged it in and mining on it even before I posted this message. That's no big deal, just that it was supposed to be new. Also it may be a sign of things to come. If they are starting to ship out their running pieces they may be running all out with no new pieces in production. That could also mean the S2 may be closer.
Actually that could even mean the S2 is already working.
If they have a farm of S1s, it wouldn't make much sense to switch any off (and ship them to customers) until they could replaced them with the new S2's

.
.
.

Though, I'd certainly expect a discount if I got a used one ...
Yes they should actually say on the site if they are selling used ones ... and they should be for cheaper ...

They are selling them cheaper everyday.

And yes it is true, they are/were using them to mine before they sold it to us.
The question is: Do we really care?
We get miners delivered to us 3 days from order.
They work exactly as advertised.

I know they have been using my miners from before, but I have them here NOW Wink

+1

Sure....

Plus sending miners that were mining before doesn't increase the overall hash rate Smiley

No comment... Smiley Sure again....

This has been reported for months, so its not really a sign of anything new.

I just received another S1 today and this one was used big time. Lots of Chinese dust all over the PCB boards and fan blades. Should I contact them and have them replace it?
Your choice, of course, but if it works I'd say use it. You'd lose a significant amount of income by being without a unit for the 1 or 2 week turnaround, plus paying for shipping to Bitmain. You'd need to mine for many weeks to recover that, and you'd never catch up to what you could have mined by keeping it.

'chinese dust'? Why would you RMA something because it is dusty? get out the compressed air and clean it yourself in a few minutes. You can use 99% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and a microfiber cloth to clean the pcb if the air duster isnt enough

Probably he meant that it supposed to be brand new device. Not used one, covered with dust, they've been mining on it for months and it's life may be shorter now.

The S2 is expected early April from what I have heard....

My fan is going full blast even when going from a cold start. How do I fix this? My other miner's fan runs much quieter.

How do I fix this? I checked the connection and it seems that all cables are properly set in the connector end (but not entirely sure). I pushed the fan cables into the connector to see if that'd help but it didn't

Please let me know! Thx

Check if the blue wire is properly connected.
If it is, don't worry about it, it could have been worse, like the fan not working AT ALL!!!  Wink

I guess. Doesn't make sense sending it back all the way. It seems to be stable.

On a different note, is there any setting between 350 and 375? I don't overclock but want a tiny bit more juice out of these things. Like 360?
