Congratulations!  Looks like fine work.  Cool

I'll grab my ticket within the next couple of days.

The ticket is a paper wallet, I believe you can grab it now and fund it in a couple days.

the paper wallet is valid for 30 min. if no payment occurs within this period, you have to create a new paper wallet by refreshing the page.

that warning needs to be on the site... thats not cool at all

thx for pointing out.

we changed the time limit to 48 hours. if payment does not happen within 48 hours it is necessary to print out a new one.
an additional warning will be put on the site.

please keep us update with your impressions of ticket ipo.

ヽ( ㅇㅅㅇ)ノ ~!!
are tickets transferable/sellable? Say, I'm not sure if I want to go, but I buy a ticket anyway, can I resell it later (perhaps at a loss for me) if I change my mind?

(I guess simply selling the private key doesn't work as I could have kept a copy)

Any bitcoins lost from malformed addresses? Or was it just preventing you from creating a multisig address to begin with?
No coins were lost because of this.

The address was not malformed, but the reference client did not accept spending it with transactions that had a signatures in an order different to the public key order in the script. This imposes some additional complexity to the signer if signatures are done in random order and schedule, but reduces the burden on the verifying node, therefore sensible. It was just not known by me and others. Bitcoin is ultimately defined by code and not documentation. I submitted a pull request to the reference client, so this behavior is now explicitly tested for.

The technical issue has ben found and resolved. Thanks to lianj and gmaxwell for their contribution to spot it.

The reference implementation places restrictions on the order of signatures of a multi-party signed transaction. BOP software is amended to comply with that and a pull request to test for this rule is submitted to the reference implementation: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/3387

The BOP software for the ticket sale is finished and open sourced at: https://github.com/bitsofproof/btc1k

We were testing yesterday with the organizer.

we have furthermore prolonged the trigger period from 5 days to 30 days due to the incredible swings, frenzy run ups, panic sells, panic buys in the last few weeks and days.

Good move Smiley

I apologize for the ticket sale delay. The reason is a yet unknown reason the reference implementation rejects transactions that are valid by all means available and known to me.

I am working with the core dev team to resolve. As soon as this is done, we test and open ticket sales.

so are we gonna wait after the price's 30 days avg above $1k then tickets will be for sale?

I think tickets go on sale when a payment and escrow tool is functional - one that demonstrates some neat features in Bitcoin.

As the tickets will be 1XBT, you don't need to wait, you can buy a Bitcoin now, when they go on sale is not relevant, unless you want to pay in Fiat, in which case it won't be today's price but one that is over $1000.

correct. good explanation, thx. ticket sale is about to be opened soonTM.

we kind of hope btc would need longer to climb back up, but the fkn coin just does not listen Roll Eyes
