Alex or Max,

Can you fill us in on anything that was discussed last night?

One problem with not having a hot fix is that we need to get Bittrex an updated wallet so we can have a free market.  I think this is very important.  Is there any kind of ETA?

To all:

I have been in contact with Max through his personal email account and it seems like he's being open and honest in the below email.  Below is the email he sent me and he knows I'm posting it.

I’m glad that you’ve stuck with us throughout the project. It’s been rough the last couple weeks and I’ll clear up what I can for you. Yes, the main developer is still on the project. We timed the launch very poorly with his traveling as we didn’t know he would have to stay so long. He will be returning in two days with his main priority being getting PESA back up and running. I’m confident in his abilities. The coin’s codebase will be changed drastically, which is why we haven’t released a hot fix yet.  One of the biggest problems though, is that we all have full-time+ jobs. I have planned to speak with everyone on the project tonight and plan out the coming weeks.

He says they should be in the thread tonight.  If not, I will try to get more information tomorrow.

I'm here to answer questions. I talked to Max at length last night as well.

This moment, this particular moment is happYness.  Cheesy Cry

Yeah, this is just getting pathetic.  I was sticking by the coin and quietly watching for a while but jesus christ, pull it together.  I mean, look at this.  Look at all the awesome shit PESA has planned.  This coin will be epic right?

So how is development progressing after a month?  Sure things are moving fast for the coin that is set to replace all alt coins.

Oh, fuck me.

I think there is much bigger problem with code not only wallet. So many days passed.

Ok, I see what's going on now.  My weight is three times that of the network.  I agree with SD, take out the dynamic interest.  If you're concerned about losing coins, leave the dynamic interest in up to the current block then switch to flat.  Is a broken coin a better alternative?

Why don't you just lower the required confirmations for staked coins from 110 to 10?  The only problem I can see is that the blockchain is moving very slowly.  It's not that the wallets are not syncing...they're just showing they're not synced because it's been so long since a block has been generated.  If you can get people's staked coins to confirm quicker they'll be able to restake quicker and generate PoS blocks on a more regular basis.  I think the problem is much simpler than it's being made out to be.
There must be some good reason for to keep such high confirmations. Right?

Only if the blockchain is moving as it's supposed to be and you want confirmations to take 110 minutes.  But the blockchain isn't moving.  I personally have four PoS blocks that I'm waiting on to confirm that have 20, 12, 11, and 10 confirmations.  If maturity was lowered to 10 blocks all of those coins would once again be staking and generating new blocks, and that's just my wallet which has less than 1000 coins.

Thats not even in the ballpark of whats wrong here.  Blockchain isn't moving because no one is opening their wallets because their wallets won't stay synced.  Ok, watch, I'm gonna open my wallet after I redownload the blockchain again.  All my coins will want to stake immediately, and I'll be off on my own chain within a couple hours.

Dynamic stake interest is cool, but if that is the issue right now just take it out and release a working wallet with flat interest for now.  It can be changed back later when it works right.  I don't understand what is so hard here.

So you're actually forking?  I haven't experienced that, but that's probably because I'm not holding a lot of coins.

I've had the freeze up at 3666 as well.  Sometimes I have to open and close the wallet several times at that point and several other points in the blockchain before it will continue.

Well this is a new one, now I'm stuck at block 3666 with an empty wallet!  Just remove the god damn dynamic interest for now!
