Linux FOREVER! Resistance is futile!!!
Does Miningpoolhub blocking some of my ETH workers by their external IP? I am able to point my rigs to ZEC pool at Miningpoolhub, Digibyte qbit is accessible too, but my ETH workers in this location can't connect to ETH pool at all. But other my rigs in different locations are completely OK. How can I check it? Can pool's operetor reset this ban?

Looks like some thing is wrong with mph eth pools, I'm getting long times to get new jobs and too many rejects

https://check-host.net/check-dns?host=europe.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com

find an ip which is the fastest. copy and save it somewhere.

and change your host --> C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc
edit your host file and add      europe.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com
save your file and try to run.
* do not put "#" in front of your IP in your host file *

Because your DNS provider sucks and doesn't resolve the hostname to a proper IP address.
Use CloudFlare's 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1 public DNS servers and you should be fine.

Thanks for both of you, it resolved my problem. I had 4 days without connection to miningpoolhub, had to change pool for crypto.

Yeah I did that on my mate's rig that was having problems. Works now, so thanks for the tips.

Still wondering why it's causing such issues. Switching DNS provider didn't solve the problem on its own. Had to use one of the ip's as well.  Roll Eyes

After changing DNS to cloudflare & host file still cannot logon on. Ethereum,Monero,Zencash pool all not working.

Temporary change to ethermine pool. That works. Miningpoolhub admin mention restarting server one by one. I'll wait until everything settles before trying.

UPDATE: MPH works for ethereum now. Back to mining on  MPH.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger
I'm so fed up with the zpool and zergpool autoexchange pools, they seem to steal me no matter what settings I use.
Yet MPH doesn't offer enough algos. Without x17, c11, x16r and x16s I lose out on some of my strongest algos.

Since your pool seems to be stable, shouldn't you focus on expanding?

Why on earth do I have to do this crap?
Because your DNS provider sucks and doesn't resolve the hostname to a proper IP address.
Use CloudFlare's 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1 public DNS servers and you should be fine.
^^^ thisss.

@dragonmike if u think what I’ve provided is crappy, stay unconnected with your crappy rigs

Where did I say what you provided was crappy? Your answer probably works, so it's not crappy. What is crappy is that I have to manually tell the dns provider to do its job for whatever reason.

As you know, it has nothing to do with my rigs (which aren't crappy, by the way).

With task manager drop cpu miner priority to low, for cryptonight set odd cores, for others you may uncheck core 0, or 0 and 1 as last resort, for gpu miner set high priority and even cores.

I don't think that will help

[ANN] zFastminer-v2.3.2 Most Powerful And Profitable Zcoin xzc Miner On Poolside For NVIDIA Pascal GPUs
***** Optimized For MiningPoolHub - Fork from tpruvot ccminer 2.2.5 *****

Update May 4th: Updated Version Release:
zFastminer-v2.3.2

Changelog:
  • Fixed Stratum connection Bug.
  • Added support for IP addresses as URL- please choose the best IP for you with the lowest ping.
  • Attempt to reduce power spikes.
  • Mining Rigs with less then 2 GPU's not Supported.
  • Max GPU's support increased to 19 per Rig.
  • '--hide-diff' is ON by default to reduce CPU usage.
  • Small Reduction of the Intensity for better stability.
  • Compiled with Cuda 9.2

Regarding power spikes:
We have looked about this issue with ccminer and found out that some users found solution by using '-plimit' option to limit the max power usage of the GPU's(in addition to MSI afterburner), you can set values per GPU like this:

Code:
zFastminer-v232 -a lyra2z -o stratum+tcp://asia.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20581 -u USERNAME.NewWORKERNAME -p x -q -plimit 60,60,60,60,60,60,60,60
This sets 60% power limit for each GPU on a rig with 8 GPU's, try this option with your preferred power percentage

Regarding MPH ongoing maintenance and stratum connection issues:
We enabled using IP address as URL and now you can choose the best IP address with the lowest ping for you and you shouldn't have connection problem anymore.
For example:

Code:
zFastminer-v232 -a lyra2z -o stratum+tcp://139.162.132.70:20581 -u USERNAME.NewWORKERNAME -p x -q

List of IP addresses:
https://check-host.net/check-dns?host=europe.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com

How to Test Ping?:
Open command prompt/PowerShell and type:

Code:
ping us-east.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com

And you will see something like that:

Code:
Pinging us-east.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com [139.162.132.70] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 139.162.132.70: bytes=32 time=68ms TTL=55

Reply from 139.162.132.70: bytes=32 time=62ms TTL=55

ping europe.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com
Pinging europe.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com [139.162.46.14] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 139.162.46.14: bytes=32 time=422ms TTL=51

Reply from 139.162.46.14: bytes=32 time=426ms TTL=51

Keep trying different IP's or URL's MPH URL's or choose from this list and test the ping:
https://check-host.net/check-dns?host=europe.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com

us-east.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com
europe.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com
asia.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com
Until you find best IP address with the lowest ping and then use it in your .bat file.

I've been trying to mine Electroneum on MiningPoolHub (europe.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20596) using HiveOS with either xmr-stack or ccminer) but cannot get it to work at all.  I have 10 x nVidia GTX 1080 cards that appear to be hashing at around 650-680 H/s each but when I view the dashboard on MPH it does not show any hashing rate at all - nor does the worker show as being active.  Also, the balance for ETN does not increase despite leaving it running like this for a good 30 mins or so.

Is someone able to confirm that the pools are indeed active and what config settings I should be using?

thanks in advance

Post your current config settings for the miner(s) you are using, this will help us see if there is something up with your config, or if it maybe a pool problem.

Apologies for the delay in responding.

In ccminer I have the following :

%DWAL%  =
Fork = Klaust (have also tried several others)
Hash = cryptonight - xmr cryptonight
Wallet and worker template = %DWAL%.%WORKER_NAME%
Pool URL = europe.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20596
Pass = x
Extra Params =

In xmr-stak I have the following :

%DWAL% =
Pool URL = europe.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20596
Pass = x

[Electronium Mining]

I see you are using HiveOS, as a test to check your miner is setup OK stop using HiveOS and mine directly to MPH, this will eliminate the possibility that there is a problem with HiveOS.

This may make everything I've typed below moot, but MPH does not require an ETN address but a "Username.Workername", should your config not be (or is it a HiveOS thing):
"%DWAL% = " and not "%DWAL% = "

When you first run xmr-stax-win64 it will ask for some details and create various files, these can be later edited for your specific needs.
Files created:
amd.txt (or maybe nvidia.txt, I don't have an Nvidia card), config.txt and cpu.txt.

The amd.txt/nvidia.txt file lets you tweak the GPU performance.
The cpu.txt lets you tweak CPU mining parameters.
The config.txt for setting various miscellaneous parameters, such as display options.

I've only used xmr-stak-win64, latest V2.4.3 with AMD cards but the configuation should be the same for Nvidia (with minor chages).

Your xmr-stak configuration is somewhat different to mine, this is how I have it set up, just change anything that is Nvidia specific.
The following works for me and I see ETN in my MPH wallet.

The *.bat file; change --noNVIDIA to --noAMD, and remove --noCPU if you want CPU mining, --noUAC is to stop Windows10 asking for permission everytime I start it up on my Win10 rig and "timeout 3" is a 3 second delay before starting miner.
Code:
timeout 3
xmr-stak -C ETN.txt --noNVIDIA --noCPU --noUAC

The ETN.txt file. The only change here is "UserName.WorkerName" , change this to your User & Worker names.
Code:

Or you could use Claymore's Cryptonight miner it is easier to setup and is now free to use https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/claymores-cryptonote-amd-gpu-miner-v113-638915

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info - I made a mistake with reporting my config having tried many different settings - my %DWAL% value was actually correctly setup as Username.Workername

I have not tried just yet, but i'm thinking I should disabled the CPU (for now) to see if minining with both GPU and CPU from the same miner is causing the issues.
