How would you prevent abuse of this system? I am seeing a possibility of a paid troll army rating someone up or down or paid bounty hunters doing that for a price. People are already attacking other people in twitter for free if that would be a measurement of reputation, some people would be destroyed.
I think I asked that too a while ago. That's a Sybil attack and the Repu team thinks they can prevent it by analyzing wifi and Bluetooth as well as face recognition in the future.

But that's only a part of problem. Currently the whole atmosphere is so polarized and everyone gets offended abaout everythng, no matter what's your political side, and that's fine, but if these people suddenly had power over you to rate you down, that's would happen in no time. Even if it's unrelated to subject that you should be rated on.
It's kinda like collecting and trading baseball cards, except there's only one of each. This turns it into a reputation system because the most interesting people cost the most.
