Development Roadmap

Three main development phases on the path to launching the Qlink network.

Phase One - End of Q1 2018
Qlink will develop the Wi-Fi sharing protocol and E2P SMS application and deploy to the Public Chain. Wi-Fi sharing will target individual users, whilst the E2P SMS application will bring enterprise clients onboard. Qlink will first roll out the E2P SMS service to Android users, whilst the iOS version is undergoing research and development. Qlink aims to publish the code for these applications to GitHub by the end of Q1 2018. The launch will also include the Qlink mobile and desktop app.

Phase Two - End of Q2 2018
Qlink will develop the mobile data access and content distribution protocol and deploy to the Public Chain. Qlink aims to publish the code for these applications to GitHub by the end of Q2 2018. The launch will also include enhanced versions of the Qlink mobile and desktop apps, along with the Qlink Gateway.

Phase Three - End of Q4 2018
Qlink will launch the Qlink Chain, which will be co-developed by Onchain, and will also launch the Qlink BaseStation. Qlink aims to publish all phase three code to GitHub and debut the BaseStation prototype by the end of Q4 2018. The launch will also include cross-chain protocol.

Mr Mock Pak Lum is a senior advisor with Tembusu Partners, a private equity firm. Pak Lum is well versed in the TMT space having served as CTO and Chief Business Development Officer in StarHub, the second largest telco in Singapore.
Before StarHub, Pak Lum also served as Managing Director of MediaCorp Technologies, the technology arm of the National Broadcaster in Singapore.

The project seems like it could become successful, however I find it problematic that for Qlink to be really useful for other, there would have to be a lot of users who share their wifi, mobile data and sms, and who decide to mine it. I doubt I'd ever be able to find someone who shares his wifi in my city through Qlink. The project relies too much on other people in my opinion. They only provide the base and hope that there will be many miners.

Not sure about that, their current development outperforms most other projects at the moment.
The price is just following the ICO winter of 2018, regardless that the project is moving fast.
Long-term this project is still highly undervalued compared to a 2019/2020 evaluation.
