I would like to thank ghobson, luckykitty and snmoney to clarifying my question on moving to another computer.

I do have a second question.

I played with shortcut/startup flags:
Try this flag first: -optimineraes=1
Try this flag second: -optimineravx2=1
Example 1: -minermemory=2 -genproclimit=2
This sets mining using 2 GB of memory, with 2 threads on each GB.
Example 2: -minermemory=3 -genproclimit=8
This sets mining using 3 GB of memory, with 8 threads on each GB.
Example 2: -minermemory=6 -genproclimit=12
This sets mining using 6 GB of memory, with 12 threads on each GB.

On one computer, with these flags I have:
HPS: 35 h/s
Miners:6
Threads: 17

while the other with no flags I have:
HPS: 181 h/s
Miners:1
Threads: 8

Which one of these configurations would give me a better chance to mine a coin?

Thanks

Interesting how much this coin could cost in a term of 6 or 12 months...

Complete newbie here. Sorry if I ask the question that was answered before but I can't find the answer. I was mining and I got 120 ROI coins so far. I used instructions and I deposited all 120 ROU coins for 12 months.

Now I have to move all data to another computer as I need to return the original one back. I will continue mining from a new one. How can I move everything to different computer? Thanks
C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Roicoin
wallet.dat
at the first time you execute wallet-qt .exe ,it will ask you  to choose path to storeage datas.
"%APPDATA%/Roicoin" or "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Roicoin" as defualt.
you can set whatever path you want, that's where the wallet.dat file should be.

All you need is the wallet.dat file.
1. install the wallet on new computer
2. overwrite the new wallet.dat with your old one.
3. re-start wallet

if you need more help join us on slack see my signature for the link.

Quick Update:

The signatures have been updated to include the Slack Channel. I am going to post the code here but for future reference you'll find the signature code and samples on the very first ANN tread. Just go to the first ANN thread and scroll to the bottom and find the heading "Roi Coin Marketing Materials."

Try this flag second: -optimineravx2=1

Hello, the flag above crash your program (even when used alone, I’m getting Mingw assertion error) on my Windows machine (I used your binary) whereas I have an Intel core i7 6700k.

Hi, The only time you would need that command is if you are solo mining.

If you wish to solo mine you should follow the info here http://roicluster.miner-pools.com/ and use one of the miners at the bottom of the page. You only need to change the .bat file to have your key there is no need to run the wallet unless you wish to.

There is nothing that I need you guys to do at the min.

If I do need any help I will give you a shout. I have a friend hosting the node for me. The node is on a very big UPS so there will not be any worry in regards to down time there.

If it gets to a point where he can not hold it any more and I doubt that I will give you a shout to look at hosting it.

There is somethings I have been looking at in ways of killing the nice hash with a node update. I will report back with that when I have learned more about the algo.

Regards,

Note to solo miners on the cluster, You can see your hash rate on the miner. You will see each threads hash rate. You can not see the hash rate like you would with the getmininginfo command. I am looking to put info on the website http://roicluster.miner-pools.com but that is in a long long line of work I have to do.

Can i see somewhere what is the global hash rate of all pool and solominers?

yes on the block explorer http://blockexplorer.roi-coin.com/

forgot you can also see it in your wallet , goto the debug window and type "getmininginfo"

It would be better for the coin for all to mine solo on the cluster for now. No need for us to be helping the nice hash miners.

I have been working on a pool and that may come in time. But for now this is the best thing we have to fight back and stop them getting so many blocks to dump.

As you wonder if you would be better solo, cluster solo or pool. look at the blocks pending on the pool 327 when I last looked. so there are blocks getting found solo. And if more miners come off the pool then it slows the nice hash right down on the amount of blocks they can get.

Excellent work!  Thank you very much for this contribution to the community.

Do you need us to do anything on the seed nodes or DNS seeders?  A hard code of the IP somewhere?  Additional hosting?

We have been discussing the Nice Hash issue.  While they are within their right to do so.  Protecting the coin from dumps, increasing miners returns and decentralizing the mining as much as possible are our goals.

So we sincerely appreciate this big step forward.  Coding the actual blockchain to protect the blockchain from mega hashers is going to take time and a lot of research.  So from the bottom our hearts, Thank you!

Are we still doing the signature bounty? Smiley

yes I sent out yesterday and will do again today. Entire mine was offline near half a day because Windows forced updates on all the boxes so it's slim pickings so i decided to just send each person 1 block worth...

That is why i mine on linux Wink

The cut and dry of it is your computer/s connect to the node. Each one is its own thread.
The node takes all the data on the network and updates your miner. so your miner starts from that point and not the starting point.

If you find the block you get 100% of it no pool fees just 120 coins in your wallet.

It 100% helps to decentralize mining of the coin because each one of us have a good fighting chance to get that block no matter how big your cpu.

It makes things like they was befor the pool in terms of mining. Each miner has a chance to hit a block and gets the work updates just like they would if in a pool. But without the need to share the block if you win.

So the more miners connected to the cluster node the harder it will be for the pool. Its like its own pool but with the added advantage that it gets 100% of the work updates from all connections to the nodes and gives them to your miner.

Hello excuse my ignorance I do not speak English
Is it better to mine alone?
