Difficulty climbed from a fairly low 0.05 as of a few days ago - probably because bter delisted KDC - to floating around (and above) 1.00 at the moment. What happened this time?

BTER has stolen everyone KDC, they refuse to process withdrawals.  Only reason they delisted is so they can avoid revealing they were hacked again or have already dumped their users coins on cryptsy last year.

Any exchanges left?
Now No exchanges, wallet can sync?

wallet syncs fine, and its on the vote page at Cryptopia (https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Vote), if it got enough votes KDC could have new home there.  Wink

thing is - nobody wants to buy KDC.. everybody wants to sell Wink

My wallet has 13 connections and is at block 668646 right this moment... surely there is enough activity to warrant another exchange?

Never compromise your standards!
The problem is that there are only like 4 of us that want to continue this coin, myself included.  Updating/changing the code isn't going to do anything for us at this point because it really seems that no one cares anymore.  I tried to spark some conversation here about what people wanted to do, and there was all of 2-3 responses.  It didn't seem like people cared enough to do anything.

If the community(all 3 of us) had some kind of idea of what to do with this coin, besides trade it, we might be able to get somewhere with it.  At this point though, it's almost better to just relaunch the coin under a new name and hope for the "new coin" factor of community support.  We'd still be stuck on what to do with it though.

If some kind of initiative could be started to garner support and use of the coin, I would come back and work on the code with my team.  But until there's more than 3 or 4 of us holding on to a spark of hope, there really isn't a point.  I hate to say it, but it's the truth at this time.

If the Dev moves the coin forward and creates some excitement, people will follow and get involved in the coin. The problem I see with most coins these days is trying to do too much. Klondikecoin is a prime example. This coin was doing fine until it got changed. It's all about momentum. Mistakes can make it hard to keep things going. All this coin really needs is a refresh of the basics that it used to have. Sure, some simple updates would be cool, but you don't need to completely reinvent the coin. Regular updates, and progress reports is all it needs to rise from the dead. Maybe some new artwork, and some wallet updates. It needs some dedication, or it needs to be put to rest.
