I think it's a great idea that holders of dead coin have the opportunity to get bailed out with a viable alternative. That I understand. My post was to spark interest, so people can look into it on their own. Now, instead of trolling me you can do your own research … or not.
Wasn't trolling, I was just responding to your post seeking greater information. You did, afterall, post it from the standpoint of familiarity, which is why I asked. Yes, anyone can look into it and see if they find interest--but there are many of these hopeful groups around, and some of them have an end-game of suckering people out of their coin or money which is why I try to draw their validity to light.
Trolling - Sowing discord, starting arguments, posting inflammatory, extraneous or off-topic messages with deliberate provocative intent of disruption or derailing the topic.

I'm not part of the development team, but instead of asking how "they" benefit from this, you should ask yourself how you can benefit from it. If you don't find any reason, it's probably not the right thing to do.

Why would rimbit have interest in essentially providing handouts to people, aside from being a marketing jump-start? What is the tangible value behind the buyout?
