having trouble also with getting a working wallet, even with all the added extra nodes.
no block source available, 27 weeks behind.....
no block source available, 27 weeks behind.....
Delete everything in the config folder, except the wallet.dat file, and then restart the wallet. If it hangs on downloading the chain, which it will a few times because of the forks that occurred, stop the program and restart it. Eventually it should catch up.

I'll try again when I'm back on that particular PC, but Fuse, just so you know, this was installed on a clean PC - KDC wallet had never touched this computer before, and I used the KDC wallet you linked to a few posts back, along with all the conf updates suggested.

So, to follow up from earlier, there's still 0 active connections to the network, no block source available, and it's now 28 weeks behind....
I did all you suggested, but it's not even downloaded a single block.
Any other suggestions I can try? Thanks
I opened my wallet and let it sit for about 10 minutes and no connections. Came back in 30 min , and it had 3 active connections. Stock wallet. no conf file.

Same problem, added all those nodes, deleted old files aside from .conf and wallet and 0 connections 27 weeks behind

It's criptoe.com. Did you misspell it?

You'll need to resync the wallet.
Add the following to the top of your klondikecoin.conf file, then resync. It should get you up to date.

Do we have any p2p pools? Most links to pools (including the official one) on the op are dead
I'm running a NOMP pool for it at CripToe.Com. It might actually be the only pool up and running for KDC.

I respect your work but why not make other coin than try to bring bak this dead one?
I've thought about that... trust me I have. I could just as easily, if not more so, make KDC2 or whatever. Do a large enough premine for a 1:1 exchange for existing bagholders, and call it a day.
That being said, I liked KDC when it came out. IMO, the original dev was on track to do something good... until the fork and the coin fell apart. I just want to do right by the community and give them what they want. They want KDC back. I know I'm not breaking any speed records with releasing the new code, but I am dedicated to making it work.
Call me a glutton for punishment lol.

During this time you can make two decisions:
1. You can claim scam, or death of the coin, or whatever... and sell all your coin, driving the price down to next to nothing(at an already rock-bottom price) for long term investors to scoop up.
or
2. Hold your coins in the wallet for however long it takes us to make the new wallet, and just put it out of your mind... coming back when KDC is back on the rise.
Only one of those things will bring you happiness later on. You decide which.
For me... I'm happy with the weak hands getting out.
