Been a supporter from the beginning. Picking up on several things here. On the whole these are my own opinions. Not everyone will agree. But hey ho.
New to the crypto world from late last year. Watching. Mining. Learning. Trading. But as an outsider looking in I can't believe how unrealistic the expectations are of most people. The only thing that matters for the next year is survival. Let alone increasing the price. Money is pouring out of bitcoin with no end in sight. This is passing down to all the other coins. There simply isn't enough demand for all these alt coins. Until demand increases the aim of the game is simply to survive. Added to this there are new alt coins added every day that are sucking all the money away from the established coins.
I also cannot believe that developers start new coins with little to no investment. Klondike Coin is an absolutely remarkable achievement to get to where we are. Especially with no premine. In a years time - fingers crossed - you will be thankful you have these services already up and running.
Couple of things -
I'm not pushing blame on to anyone here and think theres multiple failings across the board, Devs included. Expectations were high and not met. The belief of many was for us to keep pushing more and more services out which cost us personal money, but we did it anyway. Unfortunately those changes made zero diffrerence and people just moved onto asking for another thing, another change etc. My advice to the community leaders is we need to stand still briefly on the development front and start focusing on the marketing! AS it makes no difference what services are released if no one cares or uses them. (For example the gamecodes site has had a total of 2 orders since being put live). That advice wasn't well received.
Jilixi, Spark It, Doge and Placebo: Thank you for all the hard work you put in. I know you dedicated a lot of time trying to make this coin bigger. It's a shame it ended the way it did.
Firstly - Jilixi. Amazing work on the website. From everyone who holds Klondike Coins. Thank you. I've just read your previous post. I'm sure someone will take the site off you.
Secondly - Game codes is a niche market inside a niche market. Not only have you got to be interested in niche games you have to pay with niche vouchers. Until Alt coins become main stream I doubt you will get any more orders. BUT you still need that service in my opinion.
The exchange is fully functional but not quite complete in looks, deposits, withdrawals, trades etc all work. We just have major security concerns in light of all of the exchanges that have popped up and been wiped out over the last few months. This is delaying the release.
I think you already know this. This HAS to be your priority.
An exchange that uses a mixture of Bitcoin and Klondike Coin to pair up with would be amazing. Instead of the daily influx of new coins sucking the money away from Klondike Coin it can be pumped back in to Klondike Coin. Every time a new coin is created you add a Klondike pair to it. After a few days you then add a bitcoin pair. This forces people to buy Klondike Coin. For the first time Klondike Coin has a purpose. You use the 0.5% transaction fees to buy back your Klondike and pay yourself some wages.
You say you are worried about security. So run the site in beta for 2 months with funny money. No REAL money.
Do it properly. Create a UK Ltd Company with 1000 shares. Offer bounties to anyone who is able to hack your exchange. Doesn't need to be money. 10 Shares will do it. Anyone who finds a security issue that would have lost you money give them 10 shares in your exchange. Of course you could just go down the money route and miss out the shares.
ONLY when the site is secure and has been secure for several weeks then open the gates to real money. Take as much annual leave as you can from your day job and work round the clock on the exchange. Learn from the other exchanges. There will be issues. Its all about honest communication.
Right -I have a windows plesk cloud server that you are FREE to use. If there is a spike in usage I simply purchase more memory or another CPU for £5 a month. It's nothing. You are also free to use a bog standard shared server I use at site5. If you need other resources let me know and I might be able to assist.
I hope the community begins to work everything out. People need to start thinking long term instead of short term.
