How are you going to prove that someone is legitimately producing solar power and not faking it? I don't see much tech here.

I really like this beautiful coin. If people use pollution-free renewable energy, then the earth will become more beautiful. SolarCoin will be better in the future!

Hello. I recently moved my wallet to linux and I have strange issue there. The wallet is starting and as soon as it starts it shuts down. Anyone experienced similar? Whats should I do with it?
Sometimes it is the blockchain files that are corrupted.

Stop SolarCoin, make sure you have a RECENT backup of your wallet.dat on another device (if you lose this file you lose all your coins, forever!) and then you can go to the ~/.solarcoin directory and delete these files & folders

> rm blk0001.dat

> rm -r txleveldb

> rm -r database

NEVER delete wallet.dat.  Restart the wallet and you should find it begins syncing.

I would say no, if that were the case we'd be a lot higher than 2000 satoshis.
Then again, all it takes is one person with a few hundred thousand coins to keep the price suppressed. After realizing this recently, I accepted I have no control over the price situation, so there isn't much point in worrying about it. It'll work itself out.
I'm hoping we can get a block explorer feature soon that shows the top 100 addresses though, that would be nifty data to see.

click on largest wallets.

Rich list shows top 500 addresses:

It is a good coin in my point of view because it is linked with the banks and at this time many coins they are facing difficulty because of regulations and all the government policies. But XRP is linked with the banks so I am sure it will not face these kinds of difficulties.

For sure, that way I may be able to use it too; by making a small modification to insert a box to contain a code for giveaway, with an associated url (where the User will go to enter the code and personal wallet id to claim the promotional solarcoins)  Smiley

Looks like the wallet occasionally reports the wrong amount of coins available also. After a rescan it works itself out. We need some serious bugs fixes.

solarcoin 3.15.1 in the works. Hopefully will be released soon!
