You'll notice that network hashrate jumps about 200-300 MH/sec everyday for hours then back down to 200-250 MH/sec I'm assuming someone is mining when diff goes down and mines a bunch of coins then stops and dumps them at lower and lower prices. Once difficulty drops back down they start again repeating the process. It sure seems like someone is trying to destroy SMC.

I think 16 would be appropriate.

I may actually implement a variable block reward (proportional to the difficulty).

I think there should be a gradual step down with no more than halving at any given time. 16 is too drastic IMO. 32 is better, 16 can be the second halving. Fixed rewards is the future and should not be changed.

Don't think we're gonna be seeing any significant price movements upwards in the near future.

All markets are taking a beating right now, thought the mass dumping from a week or two ago was bad, but another wave of dumps hit these last few days.

All we can do right now is hold, wait for developments, and try to promote as much as we can.

Just gotta wait for the new wave of investors to come back in once markets pick up again.

Right now the problem is with the overall bearish market, rather than any problem with SMC itself.

Ye but if we cut block reward to say 16 (or something the ones that can do the math will figure it out) instead, as of now 64 they wont get as much coins, meaning price much rise for them to even consider mining it. and when they do they cant dump the market as much since there will be less coins out there to play with.

Upon further inspection, it does have the same metadata as the original wallet installer, but he most likely bounded the installer to an undetectable (for now) script that uploads your wallet.dat (see Mt. Gox "Hack" malware).

Exactly, should be careful and only should be used from the main thread as smartcoin suggested.

Also the price is not on the right one right now. But I am hoping that it will jump after the configurations done for preventing the inflation.
It is better to buy now rather than selling.
