What Share diff should I run for Scrypt running 3x R9 290's?
I use diff 32. It's vardiff and will adjust to the best diff as it mines.
We're not on vardiff actually.. You should be using 256 at least for a rig like that.

The Grandcoin pool is functioning much better now. It turned out it was a problem with stratum and not with the GDC wallet. Once I'm able to spin up more stratum instances for it, GDC will be added to the Multiport.

Has anyone ever done the math to work out what excessive switching does to our profits?
Flound has mentioned before that he has looked at it and the switch time is insignificant. There's some hysteresis built in, so if anything, IMO sometimes the pool doesn't switch fast enough.
Usually my downtime between coins is a couple seconds at most, unless the server gets overloaded. Jump to:
