As you can see in the screenshot - torrent module is in private beta and it's working. What's going to be included in the next release? Only the dev knows. He never hyped things so when I see him posting on twitter "Big things yet to come" I know we can expect a good update.

Has anyone actually gotten the new client? Can someone outside of the dev accounts provide screenshots/video?
Jup, if you email him you can get the test release, on the slack are videos and pictures.Does it have torrent capabilities?

Been following the project for a while. Now seeing it come back with a new client! Looking forward to more updates.

there is a slack link on vtorrent.org
The development is happening in private repos so the github is pretty dead as of now. However, when the project gains traction after full release -- everything will be open sourced

I would compare it to ZenCash, which is a ZCash clone with some extra features.
vtorrent sounds like it will be a proof of stake ZCash clone, with Bittorrent. I hear people talking about $20/VTR to $200/VTR when everything is fully released, open source, etc.

Probably worried about the cops. But Bittorrent software is legal in most countries, but who knows what the situation is like in some Far East countries.

The vtorrent white paper posted recently on the vtorrent dot org website is so good it seems like it can only have come from the developers
