So yes, it does exist. It is functional, it is pretty slick and barring the blockchain completely syncing (it is taking some time) it looks quite nice. There is a BitTorrent section, but it has been deactivated on this particular copy of the program (vtorrent stated that it would be without torrent functionality as this is still in private testing)

New features:
-multiple windows for trading on bittrex
-2FA via Google Authenticator
-Key management
-HD addresses
-Block explorer

Regarding the lack of any update on torrent functionality this is what vtorrent said on December 31st, 2014:

As to when to expect torrent release, I have no information.

Well it isn't just a torrent client, its also a cryptocurrency client where security of funds makes quite a lot of sense. I'd use 2FA on my bank account if it supported it and as it is I use it wherever possible.

Don't see the need for 2FA security on a torrent client, as well as an integrated exchange (tab linked to a 3rd party exchange).

By the time it will be done, the whole concept of torrent sharing would probably change as it is already taken these steps (popcorn time for example).

Instead of focusing on the really important stuff like usability and functionality we see these useless implementations to make people "find their way to get their first VTR".

Whether or not vtorrent will be successful or not--its funny that you say features could easily be copied by other competing projects yet in the same breath bemoan the lack of information on torrents.

Like it or hate it, at least the dev has been consistent in what he has communicated. I suppose he could've hyped this currency up majorly with dozens of promises. Instead we know exactly the same as we did on day 1--vtorrent is a crypto-torrent project. We know nothing more and nothing less.

Hello,

The main reason that I have implemented the trading feature in vTorrent client is that I want the user to be able to do everything vTorrent related from the client itself.

For people who are new to vTorrent or new to Crypto-Currency, they wouldn't have to go look around or look up google to find their way to get their first VTR. With trading feature in place, user can learn about Bittrex or any other exchange that trades VTR and transfer VTR between exchanges right from our client.

I have plan to implement auto-sale and many other feature to further improve the trading tab in future releases of our client.
