XCN will be delisted from poloniex soon.

no, I'm in contact with them and they have no intention to delist the coin.
they just have issues syncing and I'm helping them (kinda I was the dev...).

hi there pallas, glad you still here,

do you have or got a link to a working block explorer for this coin, this does not help me a lot,
if there is not a explorer

Someone please host this:

https://github.com/MiniblockchainProject/MiniExplorer

pallas, do you have a hint for me for where to get libdb4.8 for debian from?
I'm trying to get the wallet running on my vserver right now (Debian 7, Plesk)

Try using the configure switch "--with-incompatible-bdb"

Still:
"./trusty_amd64_cryptonited_14091021: error while loading shared libraries: libdb_cxx-4.8.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I've got other errors about missing libboost.so.1.54 sorted by creating some symlinks. Hope that's not breaking anything.
Seems like I'd have to install libdb4.8 from somewhere. The default repository wants to install 5.1.29 ... maybe I should use that and create symlinks again?

It's running fine on my other ubuntu machine.

if you compile the wallet, the binary will not ask for a library which you don't have.
unless you did something very wrong :-)

bitfreak, hi there,

"OldManKidd: dextronomous, tkshockwave, when or if a dev responds then the issue will be resolved. "

i keep hearing, you are so unresponsive to the community, that is something not of this time cannot be done,

the thing is that one of the great exchanges trading xcn, that is still having issues on the coin, hope you read the last few pages, poloniex,

so the guys at polo need a running explorer, as do i, due to my money being stuck since their wallet got in maintenance, their seems to be
a ticket wall of about over 7weeks on the xcn wallet, so its not just me having these issues,

so if you and your team of guys could fix this issue, summon an explorer,

etc etc etc bliep bliep bliep,

then we all get together and feel much better, when i have my money in my hands.

so pallas, maybe bitfreak, or the other guy gnasirator, please provide url for explorer when fixed,

I am using windows wallet in win10 here  ....... I try to make a backup of the wallet I go file > backup wallet > choose a name it also says the file type is wallet data (.dat) > choose a location click save > now a box pops

up in bottom left of my screen saying "wallet data was successfully saved at this location" > go to said location (new folder i made specifically for the backup) and its empty there is nothing there ....

So........ how can I backup my wallet as it just does not seem to work for me , do you guys experience the same issue? or is it just me ? any help or suggestions appreciated Smiley

Backup doesn't work as rpc either.
Just close the wallet and copy wallet.dat from your xcn data directory.

Answer poloniex about frozen wallet:

"Unfortunately the XCN network is very weak at the moment and we are currently trying to find a working full node to synchronise our wallet and transactions. Should you know a reliable full XCN node we would appreciate knowing the IP and port. The devs seem to have given up on this coin and there is no longer a working block explorer, either, so we are pretty much in limbo regarding our options at this time"

They are funny.
I gave them all the info a month ago.
I think they want to buy cheap xcn to sell later, after a pump they plan to trigger.

Hmm I take it the required cryptonited is the only available linux one of the cryptonite.info homepage?
Might give it a shot, too.

cryptonited is just the wallet in server mode, I think you can run the usual wallet, with rpc calls enabled, for the explorer to function.
