I am thinking of getting one of these, mostly for the novelty.  Are people generally happy with this miner?

Same. Just for giggles. I'd like the price to come down a bit (or usd/btc rise). This makes ~0.18 BTC/month after my electricity costs. Even with 0 dif increase, thats 6 months to break even. I'd like to see ~3 month.

It is very difficult to tell exactly where the pump is leaking, but from the image below it looks like it is between two "plates" that make up the body of the pump.

X means a chip that has been disabled. most likely due to too many errors from it.

And the above photo, what does that X in the ASIC status mean? I assume it has something to do with with why I can't get 1000GH/s anymore. Does Bitmain have an RMA process or recommendations on a miner that ran for 8 hours at 1005GH/s now only tops off at 986GH/s?

What is that X? The rest are 0's.

Can someone explain what the freq and voltage settings do and if they need or should be changed to anything? Seems my hash rate is capping off at 980GH/s, and I'm looking to get that 1TH/s that is supposedly guaranteed. Right off the Bitmaintech's page:

Hash Rate: 1,008 GH/s guaranteed

Thanks

Also, maybe someone can chime on on why I'm getting so many STALE and DUPLICATE shares? Within the last hour:

Antminer C1: 980GH/s
STALE 5120
DUP 2048

Spondoolie SP10 1.4TH/s
STALE 1536
DUP 0

Duplicates mean nothing. What pool is it on, what difficulty? Picture of status page?

Don't hate me for the pool. Difficulty is adjusted automatically there, I believe. And we are talking ghash. Just trying to get to at least 1000GH/s as advertised.

Bitmain still hasn't shipped my order after a week. So much for shipping starting on Nov. 17

everyone is still waiting don't panic yet. Dogie said they are making our orders this weekend. Still doesn't explain what you're saying about shipping starting on nov. 17th but who knows if they had something to fix id rather them figure whatever out they have too then get faulty units.

Additionally when I had spoke with bitmain it seemed as though they were going to do there best to ship out everyones new batch at the SAME time.

I could see that scenario so people don't complain and/or panic about not rec. there's 1st 2nd 3rd etc

its also sunday in CN. No shipping (unless china ships on sundays..)

Has anyone received their RMA parts from syscooling?  (They used EMS shipping on me)

I started talking to them on Nov 7th and its now Nov 22 still no replacement.   That is about half a month.  I had to buy adapter and pumps for each of my C1's to get up and running (In it around another 100 dollars).
Which pump did you finally end up buying and how are they working.

They are working great on pumps.  There could be a better place depending where you live, went to ebay and sorted by items in US (I am in US and did not want to wait for pump to come from china).  The pump with original set is 450 L/H. Make sure to go with 450L/H or higher, the one I went with was 500L/H.  I also went for pins so I could plug the 3 fans and pump into a molex to 3 pin power connecter.

Pump:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/380693788606?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AI

Molex to 3 pin adapter (To use instead of syscooling harness):

This pump you bought on Ebay, did you have to switch to a different size tubing or the 8mm worked ok? And you used the same barbs also?

They worked fine.   One trick someone in here gets credit for is warm the end of the tubing in hot water.  Makes it MUCH easier to get on barb.

Remember, the diameter of the tubing is 8mm on this system, and they make ID8 tubing just for that. I'm not sure those barbs will work since the ID of them are 1/4. They will screw in, but I think it is best to keep the entire diameter of the closed loop the same size, which is 8mm.

1/4" is the type of thread it screws into and is fine. What isn't is that the barb is designed for 1/2" ID tubing, not 3/8" tubing. You'd never get the tube on it.

For those of you buying other watercooling supplies. Can you give me a frozenCPU shopping list for what kind of fittings you are going to use along with the diameter of the tubing please.

The tubing you choose will dictate what size fittings you’ll need. Bitmain states the unit has G1/4” connectors. Here is a list I quickly created from parts on fronzecpu:

Tygon Silver Antimicrobial Tubing* 1/2" x 3/4" (Part #: ex-tub-638)
*preferable to clear tubing since it impedes algae grows

Barbs and compression fittings are likely made from copper or brass, which when paired with Bitmain’s aluminum blocks, will be susceptible to galvanic corrosion. Chrome plating or matting can help protect against this, but I don’t know to what degree. Apparently Primochill makes a polycarbonate compression fitting which I put in the list. Barbs are cheaper than compression fittings. This list assumes you're using a tubing size of 1/2" inner diameter x 3/4" outer diameter.

BARBS:
XSPC G1/4" Thread 1/2" Barb (Part #: ex-tub-1026)
CLAMP (FOR BARBS):
Koolance Reusable 19mm, 3/4" OD Hose Clamp (Part #: koo-151)

COMPRESSION FITTINGS FOR BARBS:
Primochill Ghost Compression Polycarbonate Fittings (Part #: ex-tub-492)
or
Swiftech Lok-Seal Compression Fitting (Part #: ex-tub-1289)

Your the man, thank you very much

I believe tubing is  3/8" ID (Please correct me syscooling if wrong).

Parts I suggest replacing are if you have version 1 harness.  And their pump.  We do not know at what point you get a pump that was not tested dry.   I was down 2 out of 2 pumps.  (Still have not received RMA from syscooling).  I bought new pumps myself.
3/8" tubing = 8/10mm.

So 1/4" thread with 3/8" barb along with 3/8" tubing would be fine?

Actually the previous picture is exactly how syscooling has done it in their online video. The piece of paper that comes with the cooling kit shows it differently.

Does it matter which hoses go into the radiator, just as long as as the output of the hot water goes into the bottom of the pump? Seems the hoses are backwards here, but temps are good and it is hashing well. Take a look.
