Again, not buying until I can get delivery in just a few days.
So, will have to wait it out until they catch up and start taking orders and delivery at the same time.
I think it's crazy in this market to buy something and have to wait for delivery more than a week or two.
Once they catch-up with the back orders and are carrying stock, then people should not throw money at any vendor on the hopes that they will produce and deliver goods in months...
Only buy from "stock", not from pre-orders...

I'm happy that I ordered may 5 batch L3+, ROI time looks good at the moment..

We will have to wait and see how this looks around July 30th...

Unfortunately all miners should be gone then...

Only poor people gonna tell this is not worth the investment  Grin they are jealous

The reality is almost all of us investing on this, still have btc to trade, yes you can double your money trading but you can lose it too, so at least with miners

you can use the miner one year, then sell it and recover some money, but at this price you can ROI in one month, yes in 3 months the price will not be the same, it will be higher   Cool

BTC +2000 usd, LTC +50 usd

And the best thing one Miner can do, is sell only the ltc to cover expenses and hold the rest or hold in btc, in a year we gonna see BTC +3000 usd, in 2 years +5000 usd,

So, dont hear some of this bastards, i bought 4 L3+ of that 3rd July batch, and thinking of buying 4 more.

Buy Mine and Hold,  be fucking rich in 10 years  Grin

But Invest at your own RISK, Crypto is the Wild West  Wink

I'm a noob,
I want to buy newest miner, newest miner is l3+, but newest miner only ship in 3 months?
Is this correct?
Can I buy the normal l3 still ?

July batch is avail still on the bimain site

www.bitmain.com

but be aware difficulty is going up big time due to bitmain kicking out units like toasters..thus use a calc like

www.litecoinpool.org/calc (free pool no fee pays at 103% and the 3% is included in the calc...but gives you a ballpark figure)

So anyway difficulty has gone up 100% on LTC in last month.thus any static machine in the barn you own is now making 1/2 the coin

now vs 1 month  ago. The above calculator DOES NOT have difficulty increases...so be aware to add your best 'guess' of what this may be

worse case scenario ..by the time you got a July miner at the end of that month

if price of LTC goes to 50 bucks you are golden...if it goes back down to 15 bucks maybe not so much

bitmain also offers hashnet and for 1850 vs buying a miner for 1300 in july at the end of the line ..will turn it on for you in 3 days max...but you are paying like

860 for the privilege of beating difficulty by 2 months plus and still pay a fee/elec/rent/etc to bitmain for this cloud hosting

anyway that is the bet you are making ....to be truth if you are just counting on a price pump in LTC you are probably better of just guying LTC imho

others can chime in here....on here.....with better advice then me Smiley
brad

Thanks so much for posting that!!!! bought a contract off hashnest and while i was debating whether or not to drop 77 more LTC on another L3+ contract they sold out!!!!

so far so good but only time will tell

Yes I am a pirate, 300 years too late!
Just look at TBDice, the top miners there were in the 10G range.  Now there is a miner there with 100G.  :O

I got real lucky there yesterday, found a block in 18 min, then left.

Nice I tried Nicehash solo a bit, got a big share but just not enough..

Congrats!!!

What you guys seeing for HW errors I'm, seeing about 60 and 70 on boards 1 and 3 after 24 hrs. Boards and 2 and 4 only have a few HW errors.

Hash rate is beginning to pick up huh?
What is the next batch after May 5th?

July. Though someone said 3 batches in July. Also I expect diff
To still explode with bitmain filling that month their data halls and
Hashnet. Sorry to say.
Yea, im waiting for them to catch-up before ordering.
I want to place an order and have it ship within 2-3 days, not 2-3 months.
That way im better protected against the "unknown" between now and then.

Is it worth buying one of these that have a july 20-30 ship date?

The million dollar question.  As of now it looks like yes good idea but things can turn sour quick by way of diff to price change.  No easy way to answer that one.  And to add to the question is what will bitcoin do in the 2 months its tied up with bitmain.....

2 months is  reduculous, you could trade and maybe double your money in that time.  Unless you have a bunch of $$ sitting around not doing anything

People are going to be in for a rude awakening...

It is going to be ugly when people are pricing in ROI and miners based on today's prices.  If you are on the cautious side you look back at prices from a few months ago and look at the profitability before the big price moves and use those numbers for your forward forecast then you might be in the ballpark long term.

My L3+ came in too late for me to deploy at the data center. All I have at home is a pair of CX750M's. They've got 8 PCIE connectors, but obviously I need one more for the controller.

I have some spare 6 pin PCIE cables here, but no Y splitters.

Are the 6 pin Peripheral & SATA ports on the CX750M pin and power compatible with PCIE? If so then I could test the L3+ before getting it to the data center.

I guess alternatively I could simply not power one of the blades. That would at least be a partial test.

do NOT use a y splitter on a miner! that psu is only 750w which means it is almost guaranteed going to be using 18awg cables which the board takes way more power than an 18awg cable can supply. it may run alright for a few weeks but the pvc will break down and the cables will burn up. you can run each hashing board on no less than 1 16awg pci-e cable. that means 1 18awg connected to a splitter isnt going to cut it. i said this in previous posts so dont try saving a few bucks...get the proper cables/equipment because it will benefit you in the long run.

I was only looking for a temporary solution. What I ended up doing is was only powering up 3 boards to do an overnight test.

It's running like a champ, so this morning I'll move it to the data center (where I have a "real" power supply and proper cables).

As far as I know they claim the correct value (as listed on your Bitmain Invoice), so you have to pay import tax according to this.
