Anyone running 3 S1 on a seasonic? I need help!

I keep getting the psu going into some sort of protection mode...ie no power after running for 10 minutes.

My PCI-E are plugged into the lower right 3 PCI-E slots.

Running 2 units seems ok. PSU is 1250W, 2 units stock, 1 unit OC 375.

Better deal is 2 660 or 760 catch them with rebates is nice

I am familiar with this PSU as I use it on a bunch of Jupiters. You need to connect one of PCI-e connectors to the 12V output marked "CPU" on the PSU. For some reason if you don't draw any load from the 12V CPU output the PSU will shutdown at around 600W.

That would be the top right hand corner.

I tried that too. 1 PCI-E connected to top right corner. And 2 PCI-E connected to both, left and right of the bottom 3 PCI-E slots. Still trip.

There probably isn't enough power on the 12V rail to run 3 S1s.  Check the specs of your PSU.

I'm running 3 OC'd S1s on a Rosewill 1300 gold and pulling about 1215 watts.  Mine is rated at 108A on the 12V rail.  > 87% efficiency, up to 92%.

I have a corsair AX1200 that is running on 213V power. It is able to handle 3 antminers tuned to 387.5MHz each.  (I tuned one down to 381MHz to slightly lessen the load and because that one unit was just over 1% hw errors)

I think it's the 220V that makes the difference.  Based on what I'm seeing with my 1300 @ 115V, I don't see how a 1200 would cut it @ 115V.

Have S1 overclocked with the 393.75freq settings and im pullin about 3.11 amps each a stock S1 should pull around 3 amps thats assuming your on 120v if you run 220v its less must have right setup for 220v.

If it is the model below, it has a 104Amp 12V rail.  Two S1s at stock (350W) and one OC'd (525W) = 102.08Amps. You are right at the max amperage for the 12V rail and if any of the units draws even slightly more that than this at any point, you will cause the PSU to go into shutdown / autoprotect mode.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the help.

If I run 3 stock ants, how much amp would I be running?

Obviously test is to put the OC unit back to stock and see if it works. If so, you are overdrawing the PSU and will need to split up the units across multiple PSUs if you want to OC. I run 3 stock S1s per AX1200.

Seasonics and Corsair are pretty strong though, I have run 750-760 watts for 2 regular ants off both brands 660 Platinum PSU, not for long periods though. Only a few days until the new 760s came in.

While a stock ant pulls like 370-380 through a Platinum PSU. A GOLD is not as efficient and OC ants 10% use 20-25% more energy 18-20% use 35-40-45%+ more energy..

Can you only order S1s with BTC? Is there a credit card option?

I've purchased an S1 and my S2 through 112bit.com--Juan G. (topminingcontracts on here) is much quicker to communicate with than bitmaintech directly.  He doesn't take credit card directly but will do escrow.  Instead, you order and then deposit money into an account (or wire it, if you choose... some banks have reasonable wire fees less than $15 but some are pretty overpriced).

There are several posts about 112bit if you don't want to take my word.  The other options are eBay and Amazon but you probably won't get the best deals there.  The best option is definitely using BTC.  You can convert USD to BTC through like coinbase.com (or others, I am sure).

From Bitmain directly you can only use BTC. You can buy from resellers though. For example, last time I looked there were some for sale from third parties on amazon.com

I got Satoshi's avatar!
I'm looking at replacing the fans on the ants, as they're in my office and at full speed, can be a little too loud  Grin
Now, will this fan suffice?

http://www.quietpc.com/nx-120-pwm

Or recommend a decent, quiet replacement?
Don't replace the original, simply add another, quieter fan on the other end, that'll slow down the main fan and make it quieter overall  Wink

No credit card option, BTC only. My recommendation would be to buy a coin on localbitcoins.com or some other reputable site.
