Personal text my ass....
Anyone know what model the stock fan is on the S5? And if they are any other 35mm fans out there that can keep the S5 cool at ambient temps?

Also don't waste your money on getting the Corsair SP120 fans. While they are quiter than the Noctua's the temps will rise over 60c pretty much %100 of the time.

Which is absolutely fine, that's the same as an S5 in 35-40C ambients. SP120s are the quietest you can get an S5 - within reasonable bounds.

Using two SP120's temps rose to 65c right away, and it was cool in my house. Soon as the warmer months come that S5 will fry up. Used two Noctua 3000 and temps were 10c less in same room. Nothing special at all about the Corsairs.

What is the best way to contact support?

My payment is not being acknowledged by Bitmain even though I paid with BTC immediately after my order. Blockchain proves it.

I posted the details on here earlier but then removed them.

I just want to make sure that I am getting my S5!

same issue here, i never got confirmation they received my payment but was up to 75 confirmations on my BTC transfer - i sent them an email - waiting to hear back.

What email address did you use? I can't log in to my account due to the ongoing DDOS attack

Its likely an effect of the DDOS, site is on cloudflare so any outages should be very brief.

They shouldn't have to deal with a ddos attack.  It's a shame that someone threatened bitmain at all.  I was very upset at how they handled their price increase this week, but a ddos attack is ridiculous. I think they have handled that perfectly!

I applaud them for not caving in to the ransom.

I agree. Never cave in to them. The ddostards should concentrate their computing efforts on mining cryptocurrency.

You mean their 24 hours of hired botnet capacity? Tongue Its rented for a cost and they're just hoping they can ransom more than that cost.

Is it the same group/user who attacked nicehash/westhash last week and ghash just before ?

I've had luck with emails before, but that was awhile ago. I wouldn't worry too much though, that's par for the course at Bitmain. You'll often get your unit on the doorstep before the website is updated.

Sad for the DDOS, but people always try to steal!

They should put their efforts in development rather than destroying other stuff. Anyway.

Quick question, what is the lowest freq a S5 can go Huh
Its too hot in my place and I need to downclock it.

I keep refreshing the page expecting another price drop. They bumped the price up twice in a couple of hours, why can't they drop it twice in a few hours.

i don't appreciate that the site if sniffing my browser before connecting.
Sniffing your browser?  It really doesn't care much about your browser other than whether or not it is capable of some simple string manipulation and math.  It's the most basic level of defense against trivial DDoS's.
( It's sufficiently basic that a bot I wrote happily grabs the challenge, solves it, submits it, gets the cookie, re-accesses with the cookie, and grabs the data, then re-uses that cookie until the site decides the cookie expired and it starts over again.  I'll have to see how it fares with bitmain's site. )
You're sending vastly more information to a site about your browser just accessing a page in the first place.

Why do i need to see the message that the site is checking my browser for DDOS?
I certainly do not need to see that snippet-it should be done in the background.

Is this your first exposure to cloudfare? This is the way it works dude.

never seen this message before, although i am pretty sure many sites use the tech

I've seen it many times.

I don't know why people want to tolerate crappy web interfaces, but whatever (imagine google telling you on a blank page what tech they use for your web search-that would be a riot)

back to the main topic:
that cancelled transaction will be manually changed to paid by tomorrow (I have seen it multiple times)
If you still feel unsure, send email to info@ with your transaction number

It is part of Cloudfares Interface. They are explaining why there is a delay. You are being scanned to make sure that you are not an evil doer. 5 second delay is the most for me and I can accept that if it is the only way to access a site.

As for my purchase. Based on your feedback, I took down my complaint. I will see what tomorrow brings. This did not happen with previous purchase so it concerns me. Oh well I can prove that I paid within their time limit with the blockchain
