I have about 10 bad boards from batch 7 that need to be fixed. They just stopped working. I emailed Sherry and [email protected] many times with no replies. Did they change their way of communicating for warranty or something? It's been a week now.

They still can not find my 2 x S5+ blades with warranty.

I also have 3 bad S7 bords , with  is out of warranty. However, they do not make sense to send them.

I heard you can send them to Denver usa if that is better, return times might be really fast.  search this thread, im to lazy to do it.

That used to be the case but now it's only possible if they were originally purchased from Yoshi.. Any bought directly from Bitmain must go back to China..

I have a failing S5 in which I not able to give up just yet.... can you share cgminer and how to upgrade S5? thanks
you can't repair hardware with updating software lol
but here it is http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=01104930055869963213

login to your S5 and do:

/etc/init.d/cgminer.sh stop
then upload cgminer file to /usr/bin (it should be executable)
and do: /etc/init.d/cgminer.sh start

update will not survive reboots.

i choose ck's new api output version so it is not compatible with bitmain's web interface, you need to use some 3rd party monitoring software like cryptoglance to monitor it's stats

bah ... It seems I have finally fallen prey to Bitmains lack of Quality Control.... One of the batch 11, S7's I received is a bit grumpy at the stock 700mhz. I kept getting the red led, beeping with the log saying the fifo is empty, self reseting, and not to mention a fairly high amount of hardware errors.

All the other S7 from Batch 3 and batch 9, and batch 11 all have 0-2 HW errors after a typical 1hr runtime. This one batch 11 was tossing anywhere from 8 to 27 HW errors in 5 to 10 minutes... if I could get it to run for 10 minutes before having to power down the logic or the heathen demon self resets. More like 5 minutes was a typical run.

So I dropped it to 675mhz, it hashed just fine no errors... I've been slowly walking up the frequency after each successful hour of mining looking for when it gets grumpy, then back it down one clock setting.

Just some FYI info since RMAing this back to Bitmain would be costly not only in shipping costs, but also in mining profits that would be offline for who knows how long.

So if you get some funky shizzle with these batch 11's, It probably would be more advantageous to just underclock it a bit rather than to take it offline for weeks while  Bitmain pokes and prods it with screwdrivers and hammers..... for it to come back loaded up with dead S5+ boards and when its no longer profitable to mine.....

Just my 1-1/8 cents....

its very outdated but they refuse to update it.
they fucked up sources of cgminer so much that it is very hard to merge ck's 4.9.2 into bitmain's fork of 4.8.0 (they override options, api statistics and have nicehash extranonce patch).
i managed to build something from bitmain's repo + ck's latest version of cgminer for S5 but i'm not sure it would work like it should (it starts and mine though).
and they don't provide sources for S7 at all.

anyone else notice that when you have two different pool URL's, the "bestshare" value never shows?  I think after it has mined from both pools at some point.  It will show bestshare for the only connected pool until then (weather it be the primary or failover that's the only one that has connected)

This has been an odd bug i've noticed for a while now.

its actually a flaw in the cgminer bitmain uses.. its very outdated but they refuse to update it.

best share is not displayed if your diff is an even multiplier.. 256/512/1024/2048

antpool loves setting the diff at these numbers..

I tried swapping the entire cable at one point too.  The problem definitely went with the hashboard at that point.  I got tired of messing with it for today.

The setting in the GUI to stop mining if it goes above 80 degrees is always on, unchecking the box in the GUI does not seem to turn that off.  I am going to see if I can find it in the filesystem and disable it.  The boards hash fine, the only issue is the temp reporting is unreliable and erroneous and when it pops up with a temp above 80 the whole thing stops hashing.  I can live with bad temp reporting if it still hashes.

EDIT:Something really curious about this machine's behavior, the original issue where the temps all went to zero started when Kano's pool had a brief downtime and the miner failed over.  The issue today where the zero temp blade went to 127 coincided with Kano's pool finding a block.  Immediately after the 79% diff block is when this miner stopped hashing.  It's almost like what cgminer is doing on the box is affecting how that temp reporting is working somehow.

EDIT2:I SSH'd into the machine and I see that unchecking the 80 degree box in the GUI makes a corresponding change to the cgminer.conf file so right now I have my doubts that I can figure out why that isn't working and change it.

Well hell.  My batch 8 has developed a problem.  It started beeping and I happened to be nearby so I checked out the GUI and the hashrate was slowly dropping to zero.  I noticed that one hashboard said the temp was 96 and two of them said temp 0.  So I rebooted through the GUI, it came up and started mining but the temps all say 0 now.  I did a power cycle and same thing, all zeros.  At least it is hashing though so that's good.  It didn't overheat, it is sitting next to a couple other S7's and the temp where they are didn't get up past room temperature and the other machines are fine.  When I powercycled it I did gently move it around to check for a loose heatsink but there wasn't anything detectable, plus I think those were mostly in earlier batches.  But now all zeros on the temps.  Lame.

i`ve add the same issus happens to me on a S4 and a S5, reflashing the machine ( even if it;s the same revision ) cured my problems both times, actually the s5 i had to flash 3 times. let it sit for a day than came back to life the next flashing. try it out.

I ended up having to do this.  After working fine for a couple days with all zeros for the temps the sensors did wig out and one reported 96 and another reported 32 so it stopped hashing again.  The weird thing is, after reflashing it, only those two boards are reporting a temp (a normal one now) but the third board is still showing zero.  Something tells me a reset to default would cure this but I'll wait until the machine gives me no other option.

Now the last board that was stuck at zero is reporting an erroneous temp of 127 and miner won't hash.  I tried multiple reflashings, a couple of resets to default.  No love.  POS.  It mines if I disconnect that board but 2/3 hashrate is never going to get near ROI on this thing.  I tried swapping the control cables and the problem goes with the hashboard.  I have a hard time believing it is a hashboard problem though because all 3 hashboards have done this at some point.  It's just that two of them stopped doing it when I reflashed the first time.

EDIT: Well holy crap a bit of luck!  After running it for 20 minutes or so with just two boards (the bad board was disconnected from the controller board and the PSU), I figured what the heck I'll connect it all back up and give it another shot.  All boards working and reporting correct temps.  Looks like the hashboard needed to be left off and unpowered for a period of time.

EDIT2: Spoke too soon.  No sooner did I have that board working then the other two started reporting weird temps.  After letting the whole thing sit I am back where I started with the original board reporting zero and the other two reporting normally.

They go by orders of payments.  All my orders usually ship based on order of payments based on history.  My order which was paid and acknowledged on the 23rd haven't ship yet either, so that means they probably have a small back logs.  It's the weekend and I don't think they will resume shipment until Monday.  They do have until March 1-5th to ship the boxes, so the fact that they are shipping earlier may be due to lighter than normal sales volume.  Now that BTC is up nicely, who knows, maybe they want to mine with our boxes for another few extra days.  =)

Im not a happy customer at all.

We sent 2x S7 hashing boards for warranty replacement well over 6 weeks ago at out own cost.

They agreed to replace both but it took them 4 weeks to admit they had received them.

The 2 replacements boards were sent a week ago and have arrived but they have sent incorrect parts  Angry

They have sent 2x S5 hashing boards instead of the S7 boards expected, im really pissed off now im fed up of being polite with Bitmain as they have been pissing me about for well over 4 weeks now.

How the hell do I get this resolved, not only have they sent me 2x S5 boards they are in terrible condition, very messy with burn marks on them  Angry

I have put pictures below of what's arrived.

In retrospec, i didnt have any issues with Antminers so far, but considering how such of a pain they are to deal with. I dont think i'll be buying anything brand new from them until they fix customer service and probably base it somewhere not in China.

To be honest I have not had an issue in the past, I have been buying antminers and spondoolies tech machines since the S1, bitmains support has normally been ok and I have spoke with Sherry and she always seems prompt and polite, but they seem to unnecessarily drag things on and now they have sent me the incorrect boards which means I assume another wait for them to send the correct ones.

Its just unfortunate that I feel as a paying customer I should expect a slightly better service and hope they can resolve this quickly.

I also admit bitmain zendesk support has been really efficient and helpful in the past, its just when dealing with this issue it has really got me angry.
