Any way to tweak a S7-LN and change web interface/ssh port for remotely controlling it?
Done it for Spondoolies, hope it can be done for Bitmain miners

Hello guys, i'm having trouble with a miner i got on my last order (still under bitmain warranty), the miner starts up and i get the blinking green light, but one of the hashboards seems to be having trouble starting up hashing, and the whole miner doesn't hash at all until that board starts up,

miner starts and shows 0 hashing in the miner status, and it gives 100% HW errors....it takes about 5-8 minutes and then the miner starts hashing at full speed, i tested each board separatelly and the problem seems to be related with 1 single board, if i disconnect it miner starts mining right away.

anybody familiar with this problem? is this board defective even if it starts hashing after 5-8 minutes? im still in bitmain warranty

On my S4, it was responding to the web panel but not hashing.
Tried firmware reset, no good.
Did total reset but then only ssh worked.
What can I do via ssh

This is S7 thread so kinda out of place here.  Been a while since I have had a S4 but they had sd cards that you could backup/re-image very easily.   Have you looked into it?   That would kinda eliminate the software aspect.

After that I would open up as they can get dusty and clean it out.  At that point check cables and boards - https://bitmain.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203361315-Board-Diagnostics .   I would start with those two.

its working in a s7 b8 version Cheesy
so far no problem!!!!

So, What is the upgrade/improvement over any previous version?

I tested it on a couple. Can't tell a difference.

i just flashed mine to the newest fw.
it had dec 2015 on it, but every time the main pool goes down and it goes to failover it jams up when the main pool comes back up. forcing me to restart it to get it back online.
hopefully this new fw fixes that.

some reason when i lose internet, when it comes back online.. my s7 does not.. Sad
the green lights are flashing like its still mining, and the air is coming out HOT.. but nope..

unfortunately it happens pretty often.

i wish you guys would test your stuff and fix it.. its been awhile. and now these are EOL.. still no fixes..

they are faking it  Wink

On a more serious note, can you see it in a browser? does it require soft or hard reboot?
In any case, check which firmware it is on. Typically, i don't do firmware upgrades, but I had two just like this, which were on Oct firmware.
Updating to December one fixed the problem. Those which were on September firmware did not have the problem, so I let them be.

it has dec 3rd firmware..

no you cant see it in browser.. you have to hard reboot it.
