Yeah it think it really base on individual differences, some people have a reason on playing bet, like have a target that if they should win so amount they will build themselve house, buy himself a car and set himself up for life and he won't have a reason of playing bet again but in as far as he don't win that kind of money he will continue gambling and before he realize he is already an addict and so gamble today just because they enjoy it so even if they win a huge sum of money they will still gamble and they will eventually lose the money to gambling again.

So it all about what really pushed you to gambling or what are your plans in case you hit it but from gambling, we all have see so many people who have made so much in gambling and they still don't have anything to show for it. So really about individual difference, that what will determine if you will still gamble after making so much amount or you quit.

As you said that the problem for most gamblers is that they always find it difficult to accept the situation and circumstances of defeat that they experience, yes I will assume that it is true, and maybe I will say that it is caused by a gambler who does not understand the fact that gambling is a risky activity and sometimes can cause very high risks when they take the wrong action, meaning one thing that if they want to have the ability to be responsible for whatever the results are then they must understand, comprehend and realize first that gambling is risky.

Regarding the last paragraph that you conveyed, yes it is most likely true that a gambler will only realize their mistake and stop gambling completely when they have experienced a significant downturn such as losing all their money which makes their life more difficult or experiencing a breakdown in family relationships, just waiting for the time.
You are right, gambling is indeed one of the risky things to do. And most people take it seriously in terms of winning until many of them are trapped in gambling addiction or others. I think before they know or do gambling they know that this is a risky thing but the awareness of it is still defeated by the desire to win or curiosity until what happens is the thought that leads them to continue gambling again and again even though they have experienced consecutive defeats.
There are not a few news or cases that have occurred regarding the negative impacts of gambling, whether they dare to do criminal acts or those who have serious problems with their families because of the consequences of gambling addiction, and if you think about it maybe people who are addicted to gambling will continue to increase if there are still many people who think gambling can be one of the things that can help them financially.

Quitting would have been a good option but I think, The chances of quitting won't come into my mind because, I will be thinking of how to find 2-3 odds game and be staking it with $500-1000 thousand dollars , However 80% ( $80000) of this money will be used for investment into real estate, build a luxury bar, and invest the rest into Bitcoin. What brings the luck might still bring it again, or at least it has given me the edge to be skating higher money to win bigger money.
This is exactly why gamblers often come home broke. Sometimes, even after winning, they still lose in the end. Rather than returning home or giving up, we persist because we believe, "What if my luck continues, and I win even more?" ”Honestly, I used to think like that too, and sometimes I still do. This is what happens when greed takes over—our minds get consumed with the thought of making more money. Unfortunately, when that happens, we tend to lose even more. I’ve realized it’s so important to control ourselves and really think things through, because if we lose control, the downfall can be incredibly painful.
Lols, the first line of your comment got me laughing, like you really knew what I had in mind and would say as a reply to such comment.

Indeed, you are absolutely right, to him, he might assume that he has secured the other $80,000, but unknown to him that as soon as he loses the remaining $20,000, an idea will enter his head that will turn out to be a strong desire to want to recover the lost money back, and just then, another idea will enter telling him to try playing again with just $10,000 that from it, he will all of this money he had lost back, he definitely will try it, possibly make some winnings but eventually lose it all again, and the cycle will continue until he returns back to being broke.
This will not happen overnight though, it may take upto 5, 6,7 to 10 years, which is why before he might realize what exactly he is doing, it's already too late, hope we don't ever make such a mistake.

It is as natural for gambling to have a negative effect on someone who uses gambling as a source of income. He will be affected by the negative effects of gambling. We can never expect anything good from an addicted gambler. Gambling is either a win or a loss, so a gambler should be aware of that beforehand. If I don't have enough money to bet then I must refrain from gambling. I don't blame gambling for my own mistakes. But if a gambler is not aware of his mistakes and cannot control himself or fails to practice responsible gambling then I think it is better for him to quit gambling. There are many gamblers who understand gambling even after a certain period of time. They can conduct responsible gambling but those who fail to learn about responsible gambling after long time should give up gambling.
That is why gamblers must avoid the negative effect that can happen to them. If they can stay aware about the things, they will not lose too much money because they know that gambling have the risks of losing the money.
If they can decide to stop gambling forever, that will be better for them because they don't have allocate some money to gambling and they can use the money for the other things. But I admitted that they can difficult to stop gambling forever especially for those who often playing gambling.
Only those who really know the danger of gambling and don't want to get more problem that can really stop gambling forever. So that is why playing gambling must have responsibility to avoids the problem.

If the person realize things before getting to deep and become addicted he'll find ways to wake up and forget about gambling, still in the right mind when realizing that he already lose a lot and if he don't want to add more he'll use that to quit and not go back, though it's another scenario if the person already hook and already addicted as there's a need of inspiration and help to push themselves to stay away from gambling.

Losing a lot of money and ruining your finances and your relationships with your love ones are things that may push you to stay away for good in terms of gambling participations.

Yes, it is not prohibited but not recommended, meaning it doesn't matter if you want to treat gambling excessively such as betting with large amounts but on the condition that you must be able to accept whatever the results are, especially defeat, but on the other hand it is also a fact that it is unlikely for a gambler who bets with large amounts (an amount that is not ready to be lost) to accept the situation of defeat and that is why such actions are always not recommended. Addiction is a terrible situation because there will be many problems that arise and also the following pressure that will be felt and a gambler who still holds a big grudge against gambling because he experiences many defeats means that they most likely have not yet reached awareness in themselves, because that awareness means they admit that they are wrong in treating gambling and that also means that they must accept everything with an open heart and let go of all the money that has been lost.
Well that's right my friend, we have to be able to accept what has happened like with us who experience a lot of defeats of course it makes us lose a large amount of money and directly makes us bankrupt or even stressed but that is a consequence of the actions we have taken so we have to be able to accept it. However, the problem is that often many people cannot accept the reality of losing a large amount of money even though it was previously clear that losing money was something that would definitely happen.
Maybe someone will stop gambling when they are about to get married or have experienced major bankruptcy because of excessive gambling. Although I am sure everyone will realize it themselves but it will not happen just like that I think awareness will arise when they have reached a point where they are in major bankruptcy such as the destruction of their relationship with their family due to acute addiction.

But then on betting home, I thought within myself if I can actually quit gambling for ever if I won a $100,000 like I said, and I concluded I can, if not for anything, atleast, for the fear of losing back all of that money to the casino.

So, here putting out the same question, what will make you quit gambling forever? A win or a loss, or both?
If I win a huge amount like $100,000 I'll likely not quit gambling because of that because I already have a strategy for not over gambling. I've structured my gambling habit that I will only use a perticular amount for every week and I've disciplined myself not to exceed it. If I hit the jackpot in gambling, I believe that I'll investment most part of it and continue my gambling style as usual. If I win in gambling I don't use it to continue gambling, I only focus on the amount that I've budgeted for the day, whether I win or lose, I exit for the day if I exhaust the amount.

Probably I would quit gambling forever if I could be reassured such action will prolong my life but who knows, it could be  the wrong way round and my regret when it comes to the loss of my  bargain at quitting would shorten my life, thus, I'm proceeding to gambling trying it more than often (sometimes with success Wink sometimes with opposite result).
Lol. You think this could be a good reason for you to quit gambling, this might even cause you to develop more interest and you know why? When you win a huge money from gambling surely you would be very excited in winning such amount.

You will have in mind since you are so lucky to win big , then it is still possible for you win big if you make attempt to play again. For me I think it will be very difficult to quit gambling after winning big. It is more easy to quit gambling due to lose, but if it is a win I don't think it is easy. When the money finishes one will remember to go back to gambling to try the same luck again.

Yes, gambling has 2 sides, namely winning or losing, and of the 2 possibilities, losing is greater than winning, so it will be very dangerous if we gamble without any limits. Someone who is addicted will feel a huge impact on their life and it is not easy to stop just like that and when they stop it will take time to fix everything, especially in financial matters. That is why we continue to remind ourselves not to become addicted. Actually this reminds ourselves, because even though we are not addicted now, it does not mean we are safe from the risk. So we must always be careful and always be able to control ourselves.
Looking at the betting statistics of each casino that is played, there are more losses than wins, because we are not pursuing profits, it doesn't matter if we lose a lot too.

Gambling without limits will be bad, because it spends everything on gambling rather than other activities, including finances that become destroyed you will go bankrupt because the addiction is excessive.

Be responsible, disciplined and continue to control your bankroll so that you know the limits, otherwise the money can run out quickly in gambling without us realizing it.

Of course, the intention of gambling with the intention of pursuing victory is always prohibited in gambling, none other than because the impact will be very bad as you said, one of which is losing stability in their financial situation and not only that because experiencing mental and psychological problems is also another impact that is very likely to occur when a gambler has entered the cycle of addiction.
Usually when someone is trapped in a cycle of addiction, they will only go around in a cycle of pursuing victory to return something that has been lost, but in the long run of course the amount of loss will be much greater because of the casino's advantage.

On the other hand, I think a gambler who is addicted will only stop when they experience a problem that really makes them feel down, such as losing all their money and also the destruction of family relationships due to declining family economic factors, they just have to wait for the time to reach that situation if some suggestions and input are still not able to make him aware.
In my opinion, it is not prohibited but rather not recommended, although many people experience losses in various aspects when they gamble to pursue victory, but previously they must have realized that something like this should not be done, but because of the encouragement from ourselves or a mindset that makes us motivated that we can get a big win in gambling, this is what makes many players gamble excessively.

Playing gambling only have two result which is win or lose. But most people will lose their money and they will difficult to win.
It is better you don't have to feel regret because of losing your money in gambling so you can use that money for other things. Once we feel regret, I am afraid that we want to try to recover our losses in gambling so that can make us to continue playing gambling even if we know that can give us more losses. Quitting gambling forever will be our best decision especially if we think we can be excessively playing gambling.

That's true. I say if it's a good amount then I might also quit it. So we have the same reason why we would quit, winning. Lotto bettors are a good example of it, I bet they will only stop betting every day in the national lottery if ever they win the jackpot but as long as they don't they will keep their pet numbers and bet for it every time there's a chance to do so.

I think that's one of the reasons why many gamblers are thought to be addicted to gambling. Some of them might not really be addicted but they haven't reach the goal yet where it would change their life and that means they will rest if they achieve it.

A win probably. Let's say I win a huge amount that might change my lifestyle, then I will gladly quit gambling and maybe play other games like consoles and PC games instead and waste my time playing until I get old and have nothing to do anymore. Cheesy
It's easier said than done. Even the big win you think should be your satisfaction, when it happens you will still find another reason to continue gambling. We've seen this play out over time. If you had said you would reduce your involvement and exposure when that win happens, it would be more doable than saying you quit completely.

For me, I think the risk or thought of getting addicted should be the deal breaker to quit.
Well, you have a very good point I must confess, most things are easier said than done, but all the same, quitting gambling when the gambler wins a huge amount of money is very doable, but success will depend on how much the players loves to gamble in the first place, a person like myself, if I win a huge amount of money, I can easily quit gambling forever if I want to, and this is because, gambling isn't my thing, it has never been my thing from day one, I can go up to a year without placing any bets if I don't want to.

And let me tell you that, one of the reasons I gamble at times, is for no much reasons other than to have fun, and also gain some experiences that will help me interact with gamblers much better, especially on this forum - I hope you get the point.

from what I know about the psychological effect of wins, when you win, the tendency of trying to play more comes in and if you're not careful you might use all the amount you've won for gambling again. No one does a thing and gets a good result from the thing and totally quites it the next day and this is the reason why I don't agree that winning could be a deal breaker for gamblers. It's an individual decision so yeah, it's possible that wining could be some people's deal breaker even though in the literal sense it doesn't appear realistic.

For me, I think the risk or thought of getting addicted should be the deal breaker to quit.
this is certainly one reason why a lot of people stopped gambling although for most persons, it's not usually something that happens before they've gotten addicted to the art of gambling. It's usually after they've gotten addicted already and have managed to come out of it that they usually decide never to gamble again. For me, the most realistic reason why I can say complete goodbye to gambling will be based on religious ground. That has been the limitation and his the only thing that can stop me from continue gambling.

You've spoken the truth. Quitting something, especially when you've received a huge reward from it, isn't easy. People who quit gambling forever usually do so after a terrible experience, and with help from family and friends.

When you win, the thought of quitting doesn't cross your mind. Instead, you think, 'How can I play again and win twice as much?' You feel like you've cracked the code and want more.

Quitting gambling isn't easy, especially when you enjoy it and can afford it. I wouldn't say quit gambling forever; instead, I try my best to prioritize responsible gambling. I keep my finances in check to avoid worrying my family.

For me, responsible gambling is the goal and not quitting entirely.
