Probably I would quit gambling forever if I could be reassured such action will prolong my life but who knows, it could be  the wrong way round and my regret when it comes to the loss of my  bargain at quitting would shorten my life, thus, I'm proceeding to gambling trying it more than often (sometimes with success Wink sometimes with opposite result).
Playing gambling only have two result which is win or lose. But most people will lose their money and they will difficult to win.
It is better you don't have to feel regret because of losing your money in gambling so you can use that money for other things. Once we feel regret, I am afraid that we want to try to recover our losses in gambling so that can make us to continue playing gambling even if we know that can give us more losses. Quitting gambling forever will be our best decision especially if we think we can be excessively playing gambling.

A win probably. Let's say I win a huge amount that might change my lifestyle, then I will gladly quit gambling and maybe play other games like consoles and PC games instead and waste my time playing until I get old and have nothing to do anymore. Cheesy
A loss is probably one way to keep me betting for more. I will want to chase all that losses and that means more incoming deposits that will possibly make me broke as a result. Still, I will not quit until I get my money back because the mentality is, that's mine and should be given back to me.
It is easy to say that doing. Many have said this but still found themselves in the gambling pool. Leaving gambling forever is a determination/decision to be taken and not a mere saying. And as for me if I am leaving it is to have peace of mind and that is one of the most important reason of me leaving gambling because as it is, trouble everywhere.

If I determine to leave and in the process if I win big amount, it's even the best. I will use that to retire from gambling and if I didn't I will still leave it for good.

Yes, looking from another perspective gambling is an event to train yourself about how smart you are in managing finances and also about how smart you are in taking advantage of every opportunity that comes. Betting is fun but if in the long run defeat always dominates then of course it is also a situation that can cause instability in your finances, I am not saying that you should always pursue victory because after all it will not always work every time.

But at least by having intelligence in terms of taking advantage of opportunities that are more likely to produce victory then that is better, that way on the other hand you can still avoid possible financial problems because of intelligence in terms of money management and on the other hand you can also enjoy the results of victory when you have the skills to take advantage of every opportunity that comes (although there is no guarantee).
It is highly not recommended to gamble excessively or chase the victory like the spice of addiction that will happen later also with its bad impacts. The destruction of a person because they are addicted to gambling, they will experience many problems, one of which is that they will experience financial instability in gambling, because with addiction, they will most likely only allocate their money to gambling, where the desire to win big is the main factor behind gambling that is done continuously.
Someone will think about stopping maybe because they want their life to be better without gambling addiction, after all, at the beginning no one ordered them to gamble excessively because of course everything must have limits set, with limits it does not guarantee that we can get victory but at least there is

Of course, the intention of gambling with the intention of pursuing victory is always prohibited in gambling, none other than because the impact will be very bad as you said, one of which is losing stability in their financial situation and not only that because experiencing mental and psychological problems is also another impact that is very likely to occur when a gambler has entered the cycle of addiction.
Usually when someone is trapped in a cycle of addiction, they will only go around in a cycle of pursuing victory to return something that has been lost, but in the long run of course the amount of loss will be much greater because of the casino's advantage.

On the other hand, I think a gambler who is addicted will only stop when they experience a problem that really makes them feel down, such as losing all their money and also the destruction of family relationships due to declining family economic factors, they just have to wait for the time to reach that situation if some suggestions and input are still not able to make him aware.

Gambling is like a drug that makes us addicted, but we can stop gambling more easily, and if it were me personally I would probably stop gambling when I experienced a lot of losses, but that's not what I expect.

The phrase "easier said than done" doesn't exist for nothing. You can say that because you are not addicted to gambling, even I can say it because I know I'm not addicted and I will easily stop gambling if I see that I'm losing more money than I should lose in it, but the same thing can't be said by someone who is addicted to gambling because there will be a difference between the urge a non-addict will have and the urge an addict will have.

You should wonder why and how people lose hundreds of thousands of dollars, all their savings, their properties, and all sorts of things in gambling. They don't lost everything in one-go, it's a gradual process, and if that happens, it means they aren't able to let go of the urge, the addiction gets uncontrollable when it reaches a certain range, and after that, the person doesn't realize what they are doing until it's done and dusted.

So, gambling is equally, or maybe more, dangerous than drugs and I believe it is easier to get a drug addicted healed but it is not easy to get a gambling addict healed and make them stay away from gambling for a very long time.

I would seriously consider quitting if I won something as big as $100k. I have already reduced most of my gambling after having accumulated a decent amount of Bitcoin. The temptation to continue winning is not there for me once I feel that I have earned enough. I can take my winnings and watch the value of my Bitcoin holdings go up.

Who wouldn't here, locally that is a big money and I think I can live a good life with that as long as I know where and how to invest it to grow. Whether invest it in crypto or maybe buy a property and have it rented here, it might be a good investment after all.

If you aren’t already really wealthy with an enormous bankroll, the amount of big wins you can expect to have in a lifetime are incredibly low. I don’t feel the need to tempt fate and risk losing everything when the odds are stacked against you.

Yeah, but that's where our lucky comes it, who knows, maybe if you are that lucky that day, who knows, maybe you can win even with just small capital. Odds are low for sure, but who knows, maybe the gambling God will smile at you.

Quitting would have been a good option but I think, The chances of quitting won't come into my mind because, I will be thinking of how to find 2-3 odds game and be staking it with $500-1000 thousand dollars , However 80% ( $80000) of this money will be used for investment into real estate, build a luxury bar, and invest the rest into Bitcoin. What brings the luck might still bring it again, or at least it has given me the edge to be skating higher money to win bigger money.
If you are staking with $500-$1000, it is likely that you are crazy or you are rich, because this amount is way too much for average people, the only way I can risk this big is if I am making $10,000 per month, are you? This is my own personal rules of gambling, there is a bog chance that you will keep losing that 1k if you can't afford to lose it and when this keeps going on you will realize that you are already a millionaire, unfortunately in the loss side of things.

Just because you are making a lot of money still doesn't mean you should be risking a lot, you are only inviting trouble into your life, a smart gambler will use money that they can afford to lose, even if they are making thousands of dollars it is safer to use few hundreds of dollars for gambling only.

I am not trying to change your mind, I am saying all this because gambling have rekt so many people I know in my life, I have a brother who earned a lot with crypto, and gambling took everything, the amount he used to wager is too crazy, I find out when it was too late already, gambling don't deserve more than 1% of your income.

It's right at that moment of loss where the crucial thought will come. It's either you will continue and chase all of it just to try and bring you back to your initial capital or, quit and just give the money to the gambling site forever.
It will probably be a tough decision because somehow we have that ego that we don't want to end everything as a loser which is why we will keep on coming back maybe until we lose everything or a gambler cannot just afford it anymore.
I've been in this tough situation and all I did was take a rest for a week. When I came back, I was surprised I was winning back a part of what I lost and it actually took the stress off my mind. Maybe we should not rush everything.

There is always a bad outcome from accessive gambling which are significantly obvious and clear to see at just a glance, such ugly outcome like gambling addictions a d indebtedness, this are few of the noticeable outcome of getting uncontrollably involved in gambling and the reason who we always urge ourselves to gamble with some level of control, not to Chase the losses or overuding the excitement of winning and there by running after more winnings, which could be a bad approach.
Yes I agree with that, there will indeed be bad impacts that occur when gambling is done excessively as with the many cases that have occurred, this is one example that I think we should be able to learn from the cases that have occurred. Someone who is in debt because he wants to fulfill his desire to gamble is someone who I think is quite stupid, because in gambling the unpredictable victory is real while the efforts they make are really real so it's like trying to catch the wind, which is very unlikely to succeed. In addition, the approach also depends on ourselves, now if we are not too close to gambling then addiction and other bad impacts will not occur, but because we ourselves are gambling brutally then addiction and consequences are certain to happen. So don't feel strange when we find problems because we have gambled excessively.

Younger people are still naive. They are still immature and easily influenced. Very prone to addictions. This is not to say that adults can’t get addicted but the you are when you were first exposed to certain addictions the harder it will be to shake off that addiction later on in life. It’s possible but it will be difficult.

When you are young and you start an addiction, your brain will get so used to that feeling of chasing a win and winning. Your brain and your body will constantly crave that. Someone who is young will not be able to fight those urges yet. The worst thing is the money they are using aren’t even theirs.
No doubt about that because they have a "hot blood" that can trigger anytime with something that looks challenge them. Young people wants to explore what he can do so when he see a challenge, he consider to do that to see how far he can do that. They can lose control while playing gambling and even they can become addicted to gambling if they can not stop gambling immediately.

We already been there but we can passed from that with much experienced so we can have a better situation than them. If they want to control themselves from gambling, they will not gets addicted to gambling and know when they must stop gambling.

A reason to quit has never been the issue as there's always a thousand and one reason to quit but the issue always lays in the ability to take a decision and stick to that decision of quitting gambling at any point as if you are looking for a reason to quit, you will always find one. the point at which one gets addicted always is the hardest rout to turn away from, wining or loosing at this point becomes something you experience almost every day and you no longer make a deal off it and may not not see it as a reason enough to quit.

If we compare with young people lose more often in gambling, maybe that is because they are difficult to control themselves in quitting gambling. They found a fun way from gambling so they will still want to get more.

Am just trying to believe that when it comes to addiction, most younger ones are easily influenced and drawn into it. There isn't no level of advice and help that can change the mind of a young gambler. Step by step he will get closer into addiction and be addicted. This is where he ought to learn from the experience and quit addiction. When i started gambling at a tender age, i was warned about getting addicted to gambling. But i still fell for it, because there are several factors that can push one into getting addicted. In instance it doesn't look like its been directed into addiction while gradually that's the first step. Chasing loss and continuous wins are two main factors that can easily make someone addicted. While betting on virtual games a gambler can easily fall for addictions because he is winning often time he gamble. That was literally the cause of my addiction. I could barely sleep at night if remember that i won in the morning i would probably try it at night before going to bed. Sooner it became routine.
If we do speak about addiction then this is something having no exemption on which whether you are really that young or old on which you would really be that prone to addiction. This is why it would really be that important that on the moment that you do find yourself having some issues with spending up money on gambling then it would really be that wise that you should be careful on what you are really that dealing with.

Just like the rest been saying that gambling isnt really that bad on which as long you could really be able to make yourself having that control and moderation then you should really be just that fine.
There are really just that those individuals who are really that not that mindful when it comes into their actions specially on spending up money with gambling on which we know that tons of people do failed up into this aspect. It will really be that important that you should really be that knowing on what you should gonna do.

On the time that you do see yourself getting addicted with gambling then it would really be that wise that you should be stopping completely on what you are currently doing.
There are ones who are good on stopping on point but majority do failed up on this one.

Both of them, I think winning and losing could make a gambler stop or quit, but for me it wouldn't be the result, but for other reason, it might be for their family or they just want to focus on other things, might also be because they would rather use their money on other things than risking it on gambling.
The urge to stop gambling is personal and it's not necessarily to be as a result of a particular incident that trigger us not to gamble gamble again. People gambler based on different reasons and also people can decide to leave gambling because of different reasons too that is why we ought to keep trying the best playing reasonable bets not just anyhow bets that could bring loses that can be preventable by all means. Some people can still make critical decisions leaving gambling because of the addiction that has affected their life looking for a better life rather than wasting money gambling due to emotions.

I thought within myself if I can actually quit gambling for ever if I won a $100,000 like I said, and I concluded I can, if not for anything, atleast, for the fear of losing back all of that money to the casino.
Any Good Reason why you would quit gambling forever? Frenn just like you if I won a lot of money or at least if I earn lot of money 100K then Im not going to touch gambling again I mean for some people 100K is not enough but here in Indonesia that amount of money is a lot.

with 100K just depositing into bank alone can generate profit around 385 USD each month by doing nothing with 4.5% APR in here that is a lot of money for one person than I don't really need gambling anymore and if you put in other high risk instrument you can even earn more.

The first and only thing that I consider vital that could make someone stops gambling is not winning or losing alone, because both can even be the reason why such a person gamble the way they do, and for sure it is very clear that chasing both winning and losing can land someone into severe State of mind that could possibly be called addictions in the process, what I can say will have such influence on individual to quite gambling is family as you mentioned, because when the gamblers lack the ability to provide financially to his family, he can decide to quite doing what takes all the money away from him at the end and if gambling is what is responsible for his financial predicament, it then means he can quit gambling in other to safeguard his family and putting them first.

Many times some of those who gamble most are those without any responsibility, and such, their don't have any one to look up to and call their attention to some of the lifestyle that could be effecting them, and at that can get drawn in addictions, and finding it hard to control and come out of it, so those in this category really needs special help, asides from just family pressuring them to quite since they have none.
