Why do you always sell in a week or ten days? Do you not believe in cryptocurrency? You just hope to make a short profit and leave? It seems like a dangerous strategy to me unless you are a practiced trader
I think you are lucky. A lot of people can't make triple profit. I lost 30% of money in the last few weeks. I think it's my bad luck.
In previous year bitcoin gave good profit, opproximately x25, some altcoins gave x10-50. Unfortunately in future we will not see more than x5 during the year
Of course it enough to make some great profit but there is depends on what coin are you hold. I you hold strong coin of course 12 month will be great profit but if you hold bad coin you, maybe in 12 month that coin already collapse. And it's all also depends on your luck.

I get a good profit for 6-12 months only when I hold the ether or bitcoin. When I keep ICO project tokens during such time, then I have no profit or very little.

That depends on what you're holding mate. Some coins may yield profit in that span of time, while others make take longer. Although no one can say with certainty how the coins would unfold in terms of value. You can still smartly guess how it will go based on its passed trends. For example, in the case of Bitcoin, it can go stagnant for a matter of six to nine months in a year at most before it surges to regain or even double, or much more, triple the value where it left off. For other coins, which are depended on the rise and fall of Bitcoin, they have held the same trend over the past several years as well.
If you want to earn on the crypto currency without extra efforts, it is enough to choose reliable tokens, form a portfolio and keep it for 3-5 years. year is possible, but unlikely, it all depends on the course.
It really depends on what coin you bought and HODL, I have currently 3 coins in my main portfolio which should skyrocket in the next 8-14 months.

It depends on when you are investing as well. If you did invest at the top of the bull market then 6 to 12 months may not enough once it ends. In case of bitcoin it is down from where it was six months back so you may have to hodl for awhile if you believe in it or you can just cut your losses. For me, generally the long term hodling means more than 6 to 12 months. If you look at the price of bitcoin and ethereum, those are way up from where they started. There have been dips along the way but those are still way up. So that is why generally the safest way is considered a long term investing.
Also about the profit, I did make good profit on some coins and lost entire investment on the projects that died.

I think that's the safest method actually. Find great ICOs(I think exchange currencies are the safest, Spotcoin for example or Switcheo from the new ones) invest as much as you are prepared with to hold and don't even look at it for a year, it took BTC long years.
All my coins bought in January 2018 now cost half as much. For this reason, I do not consider it necessary to keep coins for six months or a year. It is better to immediately sell as they go to the ICO.

Of cos the longer you hodl the more the profit you get but it depends on the token you are holding. last year I hodl XLM for 6months and make 10x profit. Don't just hodl any coin always hodl the best

I have never held on to any of my tokens for 6-12 months. I am holding on to the Algory token for the last two months, and it has risen by almost 100% from the listing price. I don't have any other tokens which I am holding for long-term.

I got some very good profit on some while losing badly on some other and the other coins are just nearly at the same level. I got bitcoins, eths and litecoins for few years already and they're at big profits already. AMP and Adex I am losing a bit big especially when prices are based in bitcoin.
Not really, I have made most of my proftis on short term investments, but there are a few coins that I do hodl because I still believe that they can have a sutained long term growth.
