Topic: Application For Merit Source [Philippines Local Board] - page 3. (Read 19693 times)

That's been my plan for the past year or two ^{[refer to my "Merit source application folder in this screenshot"]}, but I always had and still have a hard time finding ten posts that would fall under the "theymos's" criteria ^{[that's probably also the case with other Filipino users]}.

Unfortunately, most of them doesn't fall under the following criterion:

So you are saying that people will post more if we share more merits to them? Its not actually right and never ever encourage such kind of posting behaviour. Always ignore the merit hunters which will bring good and healthy discussion than something for the sake of merits.

You have our fully support crwth, hoping that we have a newly merit source so that our local board is going active again. I know that cabalism13 is doing Great but not such much and I do believe that if you become a Merit source our merit cycle will be up again.

1. Something like that cause if you are a Newbie posted in the board then nothing happened even a reply  it's a big hurt for the Op.

2. Some campaigns did not accept post within the local board so that the participants ddecided not posting in our board then their pariority is in gambling and other sections.

@crwth Actually, it is also related to the thread you included posted by shamm which is how to encrypt a message or text using an encryption. About encryption, it is one of the encryption I mentioned like as asymmetric and symmetric encryption. In that thread by shamm, it is related to asymmetric encryption which needed two keys for encrypting and decrypting. So, I would say that it is merit worthy. I'm sure you will do a good job at being merit source. Also, there are more threads in Philippines local board that is worth merits and also other boards.

Numbers are down across the local boards and forum in general so what's happening in Phillipines board is not so different than in others.


It's sort of catch 22 -  There is a less merit shared in Phillipines board because people write less, but then again people often write less when its harder to get merit.


I don't know about other local boards, but we don't have anything like that in Croatian board. What we do have is a topic where we can report good posts, and those get the merit if they meet the requirements. So something like this in Reputation board.

The Philippines Local board doesn't have much trend now a days compared before. I created a thread there before but didn't have replies that much and later on the thread is now buried. It may be because we will know the news or updates even if we don't check the ann thread since many Filipinos are using it to cash out, cash in, trading and storing their money either in crypto or in fiat. I would also like to support crwth as one of the merit source.

at the moment our local board is not very active than previous years. If you look at our board you will see that it is different than a few years ago.

if a member here posts and creates threads there is usually no reply or a small number of replies
so other Filipinos have chosen not to post or reply in philipines board.

if you compared to other loacal boards the merits award is very far apart, in other boards  their merit source conducts tests/task and if you can do that then you will receive merits.

Something odd is happening in Phillipines board for quite some time. They went from being one of the most merited local boards to one of the least, in only year and a half. While its true that during that period their post count went down significantly (same thing happened with majority of other boards), but 90% decrease in that period is imho kinda far too drastic to be explained with lower post quality/quantity.

Maybe it's time for Philippines board members to apply for merit source status.

I figure the stat you reference may not display an entry for the Philippines, since over the last two weeks it has received 0 and 1 merit respectively:

Personally, I’d look at this data with a monthly granularity rather than a weekly one.

Since mid to end of august 2021, the main merit distributors have not awarded any merits there (at least one is a Merit Source). Whether that is due to time, the nature of the posts, their quantity or quality/interest is something I don’t really know.

Have you discussed this on your local board to get local insights on the situation?

It seems we need now this application on our Local Board.

Upon visiting there and seeing this post, the Philippines Local Board didn't even include on local merit stat made by @DdmrDdmr.  The reason could be merit source there was inactive for a while and it could be there's an alternative one.

Looking forward to this application or admin could appoint someone else.

What has happened to this application? Was there any success?

I appreciate what @DarkStar_ has given towards this thread and making me feel like a Merit Source. I have distributed it evenly towards who really deserves it and add to the posts I included here (the ones that I haven't given when I still have no merit). Maybe or maybe not I would become, but rest assured that majority of the merit earnings that I will get are going to be given to the Philippines Local Board.

I think a lot of the merits that @theyoung has have been given in our Local board. Majority of it, that's why he is one of the highest givers in it. It's great that he is silently giving to the ones who are deserving.

I can't completely say that you're wrong but every person has their own views on what is deserving or not. I think they are just silently watching every post that there is and of course, they are moderating. I suggest that everyone just post what they know and avoid repeating the same context on a topic, over and over again. Eventually, those who are deserving would be given merits.

Little by little, there would be more people active in the board, hopefully not alts. -.- Rules and regulations should be strictly followed, and it wouldn't be so hard because there are a lot of people who are willing to help those who are confused. Especially if you joined the Discord Chat or Telegram Group that consists of a lot of members.

We Support you to become a merit source, not just because you are our fellow countrymen you have helped a lot of people in our local board especially newbies who are having a hard time understanding the rules and regulations of this forum.

You, Cabalism13 and theyoungmillionaire are our inspirations to become a better poster. You showed us that if we make an effort and strive to become a good poster, indeed we can become one. We may be far away on what you guys have achieved, at least we have progressed even though it takes slowly for us.

I will support you until you become a merit source Philippine(Pilipinas) Local board has no merit sources but only the moderators which is they don't really send merit to a good quality posts who deserves it. Most of good quality don't even received enough merit that will help the author to work hard on his/her next post because if you receive merit now I promise that you work hard on your next pots. In that case Philippine btt users will be encouraged to make good quality posts.

I also excluded them (Mods) they are already a merit source. Basing on the image @theyoung is the highest giver in our local board and if ain't for those deleted post in our local board s/he should have more than hundreds merit sent to our local with just earned smerits. Luckily I also included as giver on top giver in our local board (top #6) you and crwth are also on top 10 merit giver.

I always see @theyoung active here, ain't see posting but still active on whatever s/he is doing. @theyoung for sure can be a source on our local board if s/he wants to apply all support are with him/her and crwth has also the potential for merit source aside from @theyoung.

If only more source can dump him/her some merits for sure @theyoung will flood our local board with merit to those who are deserving, I trust his/her judgment on quality posting as well crwth.

Gonna have to put this thread up, Pilipinas Local Section is really in need of Merit Source, even if we have Dabs and Mr.Big(rickbig41) still they just doesn't count...

Dabs is always at the WO
Mr. Big is busy I think and unlike before he's not acrive anymore for awarding Merits (mainly because he's a GM)

We would like to push this forward for having just a Single Merit Source in our Local. Compared to the other Boards that has enough Merit Source to award new users.

It wasn't enough just to have our earned sMerits, IMO. And basically, it depends on time whether we received it or not, it's not always christmas... we might end up getting nothing in this coming days. So we'd better have, even just a Single Merit Source

Definitely not worth the 50 merits that were sent. Maybe the guy thought that if he merits a very old post it wouldn't be seen. But they are not very active anymore. Maybe focusing on one account now. Lol.

Ohh come on, I smell something fishy here. Why @theyoung is only second as a receiver in our local board? young done many great post/helpful post in our local post and active giving to rightful merited post. That is not fair I will dump more merits to him there.

It's sad that some of the top receivers and senders are abusers. I didn't know that it is worse than it is, especially being one of the active members of the local board. I want to make sure that it won't happen and also being fair towards every member.

The post by finaleshot2016 has highlighted those people who have been good and abused merits.
