thanks for clearing this out as I also concerned about this matter as I remember before that when holding your next you will receive
ardor and now holding again next will give you some ignis. thanks again and hope it will also help the chain for ardor even another coin will
be out from nxt coin.

Ardor has got nothing to do with IGNIS snapshot. It is only NXT holders that they will get half ignis per NXT they hold.

so when the snapchot come should i be holding ARDOR or NXT to get ignis for free ?

I think this coin is undervalued after the noises made past weeks. This coin will raise to its full value when the main net is released. Definitely worth investing at these prices.

This is irrelevant, but i freaking love that ardor symbol/logo.

Just bought Ardor. I looked at the chart and there are two possibilitys in my opinion, now:

1. It will be the cheapest price ever right now (in relation to bitcoin)
2. It will die (I do not think so)

Not wanting to bring HEAT to another thread but there is value in the project and the token. The start has been rough and the potential as a rising instant success was lost in all that rumble. With microservices, EUR-gateways etc coming, there is vast potential. That being said...

The IGNIS batches awaits for takers Small trades taking place already, but I guess the volume might pick up after the next batch release as the distribution grows.

I had mixed thoughts about this, but ultimately it seems that they're trying to salvage the value of their NXT-to-be-IGNIS holdings because they can't really participate materially in the IGNIS ICO at a 60% to 24% discount instead of a 50% loss.

I do wonder how much of a threat Ardor is to their NXT-derived platform, if any.  Since they're accepting HEAT for the above, they must believe there is still value in it, otherwise they wouldn't accept it.

Yep, that is also what I think will be the main feature. However, the value of tokens in "child chains" in Ardor won't be pegged to the main asset (ARDR) or to IGNIS, so the use cases of child chains are a bit different as that of Blockstream-style side chains.

In my opinion it makes more sense to exchange Nxt NOW into ARDR (preferrably on the NXT Asset exchange), because its price should fall towards the end of the snapshot period and even more so after the snapshot. Or alternatively participate in the Ignis "ICO" on the NXT blockchain. The ICO is however massively undersupplied (until now) so it's possible you won't get the coins you want in the next (still cheap) rounds.

When will exactly the snapshot of IGNIS be and what do you think how will Ardor develop further? Sidechains are a mega trend when more and more people and companies are using crypto currencies in my opinion. Ardor will probably offer the first integrated solution for sidechains. I think it will have a bright future.
Will the main developer Jean-Luc also switch to Ardor? Does it make sense to exchange the Nxt after the snapshot in Ardor?
