The whale left us a message:

Quote
A lot of people are mad because I bought the first batch of the IGNIS crowdsale. I understand them.
I don't want to disrupt the ICO or cause problems.
I'm not a Bitcoin whale turning up just now for the ICO, screwing up every small investors, just to sell the moment the project go live.
I'm believing in the project.

Here's why i decided to invest in Ignis :

I'm an original stakeholder of nxt.
I invested 0.4btc in the NXT ICO in 2013 and received 19'925'363 NXT.

The project launched in 2013 and gained huge amount of value.
To be honest I didn't really believe it was worth that much back then, so i sold half of my holdings. The average price was 1000 satoshi/nxt, a very low price NXT never saw again to this day. Everybody that bought from me made a profit.

But then i saw NXT was different. The community and most importantly the developper had a vision, and they were motivated to push it even against the odds.
Back in 2013, NXT was one of the top coins, but as the years passed, it was slowly pusshed back by more hyped coins. But the devs were still out there, pushing update, and trying to bring their vision to reality.

That's why I decided to keep and hold the rest of my NXT, for more than 4 years now.
The only time i used it was to make donations to important project ( Tenessee project, Nxt academy, and to important people in the community). A things a lot of the biggeest NXT account never did, especially when it needed it the most.

Now that Ardor launch is imminent and Ignis ico is happening, I decided i wanted to correct a mistake a made 4 years ago... selling half of my NXT.

That's why i made my goal to buy 19'925'363 JLRDA in this ICO, like my original NXT holdings.

And you can be sure i will be holding them too.

People say that it likely was Marc de Mesel https://twitter.com/marcdemesel

Oh, he has a shiny lambo... And you guys who bought NXT at 6k to participate in ICO... you likely feel ripped off, don't you?

How many ardor coins are required to start forging? (when ardor is released)

Any amount can start forging. More you have, more chance you can forge.

wallet which buy all the ignis sent the message in 2014:

"hello i am michael werner from german advertising agency who work for nxt"

so the owner of this address knew exactly when to hit the buy button. i should have sold all my nxt.

Yes, he used phasing feature to buy JLRDA by a bot in the same block where it was offered to the market. So when the block got confirmed, all JLRDA got into his pocket and nothing was offered to the market. That's why you haven't seen any JLRDA on Ignis Token Sale page. You, me, anyone (including other bots) didn't have any chance indeed.

That message dates back to 2014. This account may belong to one of former NXT developers (who indeed know how to use the platform), but it doesn't mean that he is a Jelurida employee now. Let's wait for Jelurida reaction before any scam accusations. I think this was quite as unexpected for them as for us.

Do you know what a "bot" is?

Think again. Would Jelurida be that stupid to sell all coins at the first batch to themselves? They want to sell the NXT for a high price, but if everyone dumps because nobody sees a chance to buy in the ICO then they would only get a fraction.

They would make the most profit if they make the ICO participants happy, so they buy NXT to buy IGNIS (or participate in the snapshot). So I think they will try to find a solution to avoid too many big bot buys.

By the way, the bot whale has stated he wants to buy ~19 million Ignis: https://www.mynxt.info/transaction/17168252745990068558

@ekoja: NXT was pumped these days because of the ICO. In the next days, I expect Ardor to be higher again.

that is the scam. jelurida already know it will happen like this. the scammers pump nxt and ardor and sell before the scam ico. everyone else sell after

I was thinking of getting IGNIS in the first round, but this is just redicolous. I was reading around about nxt and found this post

Hi, I am a new NXT holder. Couple of questions.

1: It has been said that Ardor is an evolution of the NXT software. Why would I keep holding NXT instead or ARDR? It seems counter intuitive to me that a fresh new and more prevalent platform can launch without eliminating its previous less advanced version. Won't the launch of ARDR dramatically devalue NXT? (like when a new version of the Iphone comes out)

2: What is IGNIS? I know it will be a childchain or Ardor. But why would I get 0.5 IGNIS per NXT that I hold? And will my NXT still be relevant?

3: Why would IGNIS be distributed to NXT holders rather than ARDR holders? since IGNIS is a child chain of Ardor and not NXT.

This all makes no sense to me. Will there be 3 different tokens all related to the same project? To me this is why NXT has such a hard time gaining value. This is all too confusing. Can't they just move all the NXT tokens to Ardor and just go with Ardor. Stick to one platform instead of 2 and a half.

1.- You are absolutely right. The main reason to keep NXT, and to award it 50% of IGNIS is for the amazingly greedy "team" -you know who they are, or you should- behind this project to award themselves millions of IGNIS on top of their already huge stake in ARDR (free of charge to them also). It is a scheme that they smartly invented about a year ago when they distributed 1x1 Ardor to NXT holders. They believe it worked in their favor, so why not do it again with IGNIS? Now, arguably, they -and NXT holders in general- would have profited much more if they would have just kept things the way they were, with a quick and timely transition to NXT 2.0, but they thought -and initially it worked that way- they would benefit much more this way, so there you are. Mind you, they have come up with yet another greedy scheme to try and get even more money, by having and ICO for the other 50% of IGNIS that also belong to "the team".

2.- The answer to that is very clear: They need you to keep the NXT network strong. And (practically) for free. Otherwise the whole enchilada comes down crashing like a house of cards. So they rather desperately need you to keep NXT until ARDR is fully implemented (and renders NXT obsolete). No, your NXT won't really be relevant at all -but they'll try to keep you tied to it while they themselves unload, which will be swift and quite brutal. Watch.

3.- Refer to #2.

If they would have been a bit honest and a bit less greedy, the NXT project, after the explosion of the last few months in alts, would have a valuation at least 10 times -and probably more- the current one of both NXT and ARDR put together. As it is, not only the valuation remains, by comparison, paltry, but probably going lower. With dozens of very promising projects, some of them realities already, available to investors, why would anyone bother with NXT defies any logic, really... except for the possible perception that it has not pumped yet, which would apply only to really, really dumb money. What a pity.

I Didn't want to believe it at first, but it actually makes sense. Anyway after seeing IGNIS  first round sold to one person I just dumped my NXT, wont be buying back in. Now I also think NXT is dying.

yes, you are the only one. ardor is not a 100% replacement for NXT, hence there is room and need for child chains.
