ICO are not dead though there is a new trend in the community which called IEO or INITIAL EXCHANGE OFFERING.
This gives more security to investors of the tokens/coins.
which will give them more assurance that the investment bought will have their exchange.

From my point of view ICOs are completely dead, because crypto traders prefer IEO instead of ICo. It is more profitable anyway and risk is less!
I think it's not completely dead yet, but eventually they will as the IEO getting more popular.
The good thing now is that more it's not only big exchanges are hosting an IEO, some small exchanges are also participating
so eventually this will give investors more option to invest in a site that they like and trust.

Market is big and there are a lot of investors here, they are just looking for safer platform and IEO was created to make crowdfunding less risky.
The trend will continue, just like ICO in the past, and with this, exchanges will grow and their volume will be more liquid which will result to a better market.

Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.
Yes. Maybe ICO is not dead but need more regulated things because if they not fix that things, IEO will be the choices of every investor. As we know that IEO is popular now because you can trade what you did you invest after their IEO so many will choose this than ICO that no assurance if the will get listed or it will gone forever.

I think some ICO have been successful and unsuccessful, but we cannot blame the ICO project because it is not only Tim but investors who want to destroy the ICO market.  It is likely that investors want to play safely so that they do not lose and do not want to wait long, this has become a declining factor for participating in the ICO.  With the presence of the IEO, investors believe it is a secure investment that is guaranteed.  I strongly agree with your opinion if there is a special team to strengthen the ICO project so that investors are interested in investing in the ICO again.

No smart project right now would prefer the ICO crowd funding to the IEO. That confirmed the death of ICOs as no one uses it anymore.

ICO doesn't die.  but the ICO is still dying.  there are still some projects using the ICO model.  but always fails.

and I think IEO is a good choice to replace ICO.  each project must determine the exchange before selling tokens begins.

Not yet. It is hard to open a new project with a fake team because of the recognition of crypto investors in the bear market. ICOs will become successful if the bull market starts over with new money flow. Otherwise, I can't imagine a fresh spring for new projects.

Practically icos are dead
Because no one invests in icos again and even supposedly ico projects are diverting to ieos amass

Regulation aside; no one wants to take a risk on icos anymore

Everyone needs to do his own research on what and where to invest, I have a lot of friends who hit a jackpot finding one or two good ICO, the ratio I believe is 8 to 2 out of 10 so investors and bounty hunters  need to diligently check, where to invest I think it's more safer to invest in IEO  than ICO.
its really hard to look for good project your friends is really lucky to discover 2 good ICO out of 10

detailed research also sometimes still can't find a project that is really good and can be profitable.
although it is difficult but there are still some good ones, so lucky you can find a good project, because not everyone can find it.
ICO is not dead yet, he is still alive but the conditions are different and currently it is difficult to make a profit.

well , if you ask me i see ICO is dying naturally . if you observe , a lot of projects prefer IEO now to ICO that is perharps because people hardly invest in ICO these days after encountering some scam ICO that must have gone away with their hard earned money. For ICO to gain the trust of  investors again  it might take a long time or it might be impossible .

Many projects have been successfully launched through ICO.
Like what? Can you link me to a few of them? Not even 1% of the ICO's actually turn their idea beyond the whitepaper and funding. The work is forever in development and it does hit the exchanges but never solve a problem the product was intended to solve.

One example. LockChain. The name of the token changed to LockTrip (LOC). They are sourced from the ICO. And we can see that so far the LOC tokens are still able to maintain prices.

Because recently many projects have been scams resulting from unclear funding management that made people no longer trust the ICO and they turned to the IEO. But in my opinion ICO will still run well if their funding management is clear, or a trusted team.
I hope they die.

I do not expect ICO to die. Before the existence of STO and IEO, we were happy with ICO. In my opinion, if the person managing the project is a scams actor, ICO, STO, and IEO, it doesn't have any effect on them, ending scams.

yes actually , most ico's are spam and most of them will not successfull.. so most of ico buyers fear to buy ico and they are not invest more eth or btc for ico's... so i think its better to inform all of us by a post on this site if you have found a spam ico campaign  ...
I am sure this issue of ICO scam will soon be a thing of the past because most of the good projects are already migrating to IEO since bad ones are making it difficult for them to operate. We still have lots of good ICOS, but because of the bad ones they have among them, people have lost recognition of them, which is why investors are abandoning ICO now to IEO, so the best is for ICO projects that are good to migrate to IEO, which I believe that exchanges are also doing their possible best to ensure that whatever project that is coming through their platform is one that is fit and satisfied.

If you compare the time of raising funds through ICOs and now that IEOs is in play, you will have every reason to believe that ICOs are gone or instead dead.
ICOs caused more harm than good both to investors and the crypto space, but with IEOs now, everything is getting better.

As the trend of IEO is running now and ICO's are really dead and investor will not invest in more ICO's,IEO is good opportunity .
it's not all true. Look at some projects that also carry out ICO sales systems such as the BCNEX project and some other projects that I think are also still many who get investors from ICO.
even some projects that carried out the IEO also made private sales before, which I think the sales system is also not that different from the ICO sales system that is done on their own website.

These ICOs were not led by assholes, but by scammers. Since the cryptocurrency burst into our lives abruptly, fraudsters also decided to make money on it. Many investments disappear when they could help the present ICO
This is where all scammers can survive in this market and they have made a lot of money from ICO projects. Most of the current ICO projects have appeared many scammers and that is the main reason why ICO projects at this time very few participants and I believe in the near future it will soon be forgotten because people are inclined to invest in IEO projects with the guarantee coming from big exchanges
