Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.

I think the ICO has not yet fully dead. I have interesting experiences. Around last year I joined AWC (Atomic Wallet Coin) bounty.
At first, I was doubtful about this bounty. Then I leave.
It turned out that last month I checked in my wallet, AWC has become a pretty valuable token and has been registered in the Coinmarketcap.
I was very fortunate to work on their bounty to the end.
Same here. I am not sure if ICOs are fully dead and I do not want ICO to leave the crypto space forever for there have been some great ICOs in the history of ICO. It is just a low demand for ICO and low rate of participation by the investors due to absence of trust and I think trust is very important to makes things happen because of which IEO has been blowing aside ICOs.

I see ICO is not completely dead, there are still a number of projects that use ICO to raise funds, although now many projects are switching to using IEO
Most likely, new projects will appear in ICO for a very long time, as it is much easier to create an ICO than to agree to hold an IEO on the exchange

These ICOs were not led by assholes, but by scammers. Since the cryptocurrency burst into our lives abruptly, fraudsters also decided to make money on it. Many investments disappear when they could help the present ICO

Everyone needs to do his own research on what and where to invest, I have a lot of friends who hit a jackpot finding one or two good ICO, the ratio I believe is 8 to 2 out of 10 so investors and bounty hunters  need to diligently check, where to invest I think it's more safer to invest in IEO  than ICO.

Because you used the word we, who should set up the regulation body, ICO restrict people in some countries because they do not want conflict with those countries law so that leaves us to a country where ICO is ok, but how about prosecuting them, who will fund the regulation body, so they prosecute these scammers, It's a hard question but needs an answer.

It is right what you say that ICO is not completely dead. There are still some ICOs that survive in the market because they are responsible for the project. The ICO hasn't died just now but the ICO shares its position with the IEO. The emergence of IEO became a new competitor for ICO because the IEO has not seen weaknesses. Many crypto currency players now prefer the IEO to the ICO. I only hope that both the IEO and ICO are equally responsible for carrying out their projects and are committed not to commit fraud.

Not all ICOs are dead. But there are still some good ICO's out there.
Still, investors nowadays will prefer to investing IEO than ICO right ?
Maybe about regulation, IEO is the regulated version of ICO. IEO that listed regulated by the exchange.

Even though the bear market, there were a lot of ICOs that made it successful. This means ICOs didn't die although the toughest bear market went through. This means under any circumstances, ICOs never be dead, they change shape and size.

I'm not seeing the success in ICO anymore, would like to share me to me at least one project that has a success in the bear market?
maybe GMB, and there are still a lot of other projects, like WPP, and now BCNEX. well, I think there are still some ICOs that can still be taken into account. however, not all ICOs are bad. we need to examine more deeply about the team, and team experience. in addition, a trusted team can help ICO success. besides that, ICO aims to gather investors so that a project can run. whether a project is good or not depends on the team, and market needs.

ICO to date is still an attraction for investors to be able to reduce profits. But not all of these ICO projects can be successful because many are utilized by people to commit fraud. So you have to be more careful about investing. Do check and research because fake projects will surely have a weakness.

The ICO market was spoiled by scammers, taking advantage of people's trust and deceiving them by appropriating their funds. The ICO has to be more serious and the scammers have to be jailed and then the ICO will live
That is not possible because it is hard to find scammers as you cannot do anything in identifying those scammers. ICOs are good but only if you are good at finding good ones as you can see that ICO is good but all the ICOs are not good. You cannot trust on every ICO project that may result in a scammer developer is controlling the staring wheel. You should find out new projects as alternatives to ICOs.

Yes, for me, IEO should have been everything that an ICO should be. We have to admit that IEO's is the new guy in the block but atleast it just doesn't take money from investors with them not getting anything at all.

Great read, thanks for sharing the article above. I would say not ICO's are not dead but investors nowadays are smart not to put their money on the traditional ICO anymore which doesn't provide you any security and guarantee at all that you will get back what you invested. That's why the hottest trend now are in the IEO space and I'm seeing great projects selling out fast. I myself have participated and seen scam ICO projects come and go, their team disappearing, etc. and I will never ever think about joining an ICO.

Most likely dead for small startups that doesn't have good chip to attract investors in the first place, assured volume, products and popularity is what investor keen on. Regulation is somehow noticeable in IEOs now, it's feels like an upgrade that solves ICOs existing pitfalls but not necessarily as a launchpad. Only a few good sites that have alot of users would consider doing ICO

I am agree that IEOs is like upgraded ICOs. But if we want ICOs to survive, i think regulation needed to reducing scammers in market. Many ICOs are good and i think good ICOs will reach the target and survive in market

Yes, regulations will surely help many investors to find out the best potential companies which have active developments in the market. Now IEO is a trend where many potential companies are showing a lot of interest towards their developments.

Most are scams and some good ICOs will surely be transferred to IEO to get rid from those rotten tomatoes. Scam ICOs can't bypass exchanges that offers to be a medium of IEO. Before 2019 ends all ICOs left are surely a scam ones for sure.

ICO doesn't really die but it doesn't get people to pay attention like 2017 and 2018. The current IEO is the best alternative and then the STO. ICO does not guarantee the safety of investors and therefore it deserves to be removed from the game.
