ICO is not dead yet though it has not been booming like in the past and the role of the bad actors in the space corrupts the entire system. Majority of ICO  end up not being able to meet up with their softcap while some falsified the amount raised in other to deceive their investors. ICO has not finally dead , they are still alive but only few of this project are trustworthy . Anyone intends investing in ICOS must conduct a thorough research before committing their funds. There are still some better Projects out there , even most of the good ones are raising funds through IEO conducted on Cryptocurrency exchangers.

I don't think so. Because I still see those websites that are promoting some ICO projects.  Meaning new ICO projects are still continuing to offer investment and create new platforms. ICO's might fade out soon because of the news about it everywhere that some of them are just crowdfunding to make some money and run with it which I can tell is true. I am a victim of scam ICO but I'd rather not to talk about it.

I'm not investors, but I joined many bounty campaigns, I must say most of the ICO's are scam because I only received a few rewards from the campaigns, most of the ICO's were failed and some just a scam they were really disappeared. It is really difficult to find a legit ICOs with a good project nowadays.
I think there is no need for you to mention, many people may also realize that ICO has become very bad, too many poor quality projects are constantly appearing on the market, affect many people but even if things have become very bad, we still see the persistence and vitality of ICO, collapsed but never came to death. And I believe that this will continue because the ICO is the place to create more new projects, helping us make more choices, ICO's death only signals the end of the market, and this is very difficult right now
yeah, I get your point buddy, but nobody is saying that ICOs will die permanently.. No, what i believe the op mean is that ICOs will be replaced by STO and IEO and someday, SIEO will also replace STO because all this form of fundraising are still way way better than ICO, heartless scammers has taken advantage of the fact that ICOs aren't regulated to enrich themselves with other people's hard earned money, all this has got to stop.

I think ICO will not die so simply - some of the projects that will raise funds on their own without participation of the exchange will still appear.
Of course, now they will be much smaller than they were, but rather the question of quality is here - will there be non-scammers or not

Back in 2014, the Ethereum ICO had a hard-cap of just 18 million USD, despite its heavy promotion and years of planning. Compared to that, some of the recent ICOs ask for as much as $200 million or $300 million, without a proper road-map or initial results. Until this situation change, we may not see a recovery in the ICO sector.

There are some rumors ongoing, but I am not sure about it. Some individuals are claiming that a criminal group which is behind the hacking of several crypto-currency exchanges have made investments in a number of ICOs, using the stolen ETH and BTC. If this is true, then we have ICOs now used for coin mixing purposes as well.
If it's true, the token that will be rewarded to receive the investment will generate huge fundings, not sure of there's already a clear proof that
hackers will admit this, it's another rumors without any evidence news like this will not have any weight.

It is noticeable that recently the ICO has begun to appear again and there are good projects.  So it's too early to talk about the end of the ICO.  Quality platforms with a promising product, will still delight us.

After participating in several ICO project, which turned out to be scam projects. My hard earned money disappeared in to thin air, with no way to trace or recover my money back. I had to act like it never happened to get it off my mind and move on.

Are ICOs really dead and do you still invest in ICO projects?

ICOs are actually not dead, the issue is that its very difficult to get a legit ICO these days. The space has become so bad that out of 100 ICOs, 99 out of them are scam in one way or the other. Therefore this makes it difficult to believe if ICOs still exist.

I think that now, of course, ICO’s reputation is a bit flawed.  but still they have to wriggle out of this state and get on their feet in order to continue to develop and grow to their scale.  I think this is not the end.

Icos are completely dead but ICOS are mo longer trust by investors so IEO was released to try replace icos and that is the new trends now and if you are looking for a good project then you can visit this website and you will find a good project  Dencoin tokens.
Yes, now people are a little disappointed in the ICO, but I don't think they are dead. I think there will be another wave of ICO popularity.

ico is much less than it was- thats true. Rarely does a project collect hardcap. But so far I've seen good projects and a lot of raised funds. I think ico just won't die

No, ICO is not dead yet, but it is becoming less and less popular every day because new projects look very bad and bring little money

The ICO promoters are very unreasonable nowadays. Even ordinary projects are asking for hard-caps in excess of $100 million. Rather than over-pricing the ICOs, they should be offering them at a discount (especially after taking in to account the current market conditions). But they are too greedy to do that, and as a result no one is investing in these projects now.

ICO programs still exist, but the level of trust in ICO projects has begun to decrease. I see the development of many ICO projects that are scam.

Regulation will certainly come for both ICO and IEO, both are actually less regulated but ICO is worse since in IEO, we can blame the exchange if the project is scam and we can destroy their reputation, with ICO, you can't blame anyone if people behind the project are fake.

It should be borne in mind that the exchange is interested in restoring the lost funds of investors, in order to preserve its reputation, in the case of ICO no one compensates anything.

The iCO will not die before everything changes in a more efficient way.  exactly the IEO has had natural reactions from the growing community, technology and human intelligence.  There will be an alternative to ensure the needs of the community improve and be more reliable.
