ICOs are not strictly controlled by governments, so any company or organization that is able to create a coin can make investment calls through ICO. This is also a weakness that many individuals, organizations take advantage of, mislead investors so that they can contribute capital and of course a coin is not valid, this project will not be able to grow, eventually the organizations This will clean up the money of the private house and disappear. not sure it's dead but it seems like it can be said that it's not sold out except that there are always ico who appear to try their luck in making sales, for now the trend is iso and of course investors focus only on ieo projects for now because they want to get certainty profit.

Well, maybe they are dead or almost dead as there have been no information so far about them since this year, it has always been IEO.

Yes ICOs are obsolete because people only focus mainly on IEOs and STOs right now. Nobody talks about investing in ICO anymore because many have been rekt. Investing in IEO, you are sure to an extent that team is not scam and it will be listed on exchange, investing in ICO is the reverse, nothing is certain.
Because of the scams this type of questions will created in this market really the ICO are are making the value to be e greater in some time but right now the profit and the trust will be reduced by investment on ICO by the people so I don't trust it again

I don't think there's anyway ICOs can better be improved other than being regulated, if ICOs can be regulated by let's say the US SEC, I believe things will turn around for good, but the thing is when an ICO is regulated, it's no longer an ICO but an STO, in crypto today, there are so many scammers who take advantage of the unregulated nature of ICOs to scam people off their hard earned money, which I believe is the number one reason why the whole crypto space is down to where we are today

No ico are still existing and some projects are doing this method in fundraising and just like the project Dencoin tokens that offerings ICO and a good project that offers ico that you can buy potential tokens from them.
the ICOs slowed down after btc and altcoins lost value and fell by 40/50% in a short time (early 2017) at this time IEO seem a little safer as an investment but ICO do not know death. the only problem, as always, is finding the right one

from a fraud perspective, the IEO might be more trustworthy. but from a development standpoint, the ICO and IEO projects are the same, their role is entirely in the product and market. when they succeeded in selling ICO or IEO but could not maintain the market, I could say the project failed in development.

Actually, one can't be blamed for assuming or rather believing that ICOs are dead. Think of it, ICOs dealt with investors, although a few paid off but majority didn't. Now with IEOs there have been a significant positive change and now investors are all in to IEOs.
