I think that scenario happen is in time of the beari market way back at 2018 people lose their interest because they lose also a hope specially for the newbies at that time didn't understand well the function of bitcoin as volatile crypto currency.

It is normal for newbies to lose interest most especially that they haven't been exposed to the previous price trend of bitcoin and also maybe because they are not properly educated how the market moves. If you as a new investor have knowledge of bitcoin how the market change price and what are the factors affecting it then you can't lose faith that easily. Bitcoin is a good investment but it is not an easy profits investment.

For me personally, the day I will lose interest is when I see blockchain have totally been destroyed(which is not possible). I know many people may one way or the other loose interest but not those who really understand how the blockchain technology works.

This is the same as a currency or even gold as an investment asset, there are times when prices go up and down for a long time. With situations and conditions that continue to change indeed, not always people will continue to like and maybe will move on to something more profitable. But remember, when bitcoin population and popularity continue to grow and possibly only survive in the same range, at least there are still many new people who continue to be interested in bitcoin because with many benefits in this industry at least it is a sign that bitcoin will not lose its devotees.

I dont think that this is true,
it is more likely that people just are over the inital craze when they found about it, it was something new and exciting. I bet that people now ar einterested in TC but are not ready to jump in with both feet and invest as it was when they found out about it.

I think some people are really not interested in bitcoin anymore because they feel they are deceived and trapped in high prices during the tragedy in 2017 that the price of bitcoin can reach $ 20k and after that the price fell so deep that it made many people lose and hate bitcoin.

that is what they also feel back in 2014 when there was a mini bullrun of BTC going on and then also pop the bubble as they claim.

there was an article, i just read recently that the people actively interesting in BTC and crypto last June of last year were also the same number of people interested to invest and trade in crypto. the numbers didn't substantially grow which could mean that all we are doing are enticing people, luring them to coin into crypto.  Cheesy
They are losing courage because only the value dumps? Maybe they do not see the value when it reaches the highest peak of value since it started reaching twenty thousand dollars in 2017. And they also dont know the nature of every cryptocurrency that it is changing by time, volatility of cryptocurrency is always constant there is no way that there is crypto that is stable in price because in every transaction happening there's changes in terms of price. I recommend to everyone to have courage, actually, this is the best time to buy bitcoin or any cryptocurrency because it is good to buy in low price then sell it when the value rises up. Have patience, they all said that patience is a virtue and I am agreeing with that in times like this we should still have courage and patience for us to earn what we want.

Op has just mentioned people are losing interest in accordance with the year 2017. By then there was unexpected growth and that attracted a big user community towards bitcoin. Further there is no big growth as predicted. The market suffered long bear market and now only the market has turned bullish.

Now what we need to consider is the increase in the user community, increase in the adoption level. Apart from this direct usage of bitcoin has increased with more stores accepting bitcoin and few of the top altcoins. Moreover many countries have taken initiation to regulate bitcoin as well implement blockchain technology. This means the interest over bitcoin has been increasing.

2017 euphoria didn't end well. 2018 was a bearish year where most of coins made 80% reversal. This made many people lose a lot of money and ultimately losing interest from crypto. Daily transactions and keyword searches dropped by almost 60%. But if look at 2019, the condition is improving. People have started trusting Bitcoin and other large cap altcoins. Searches are increasing and are touvhing levels of Nov 2017 which is a good sign. But yes unlike before not every shit coin will boom this time. People are making sensible choices now. So yes, poplarity hasn't decreased but people have become more cautious.

especially if we compare today with the days of 2017 and early months of 2018.
These years are the time of the ICO's boom. Many people get rich because of this so these people also encourage their friends and relatives to try to join the bounty campaigns as well. Many people have also invested in bitcoin so the price of Bitcoin has been booming since then.

Is this something we have to accept or should we do something about this?
Let's accept it and let the time come again. But it happens in a natural way as people adopt it as a crypto currency and not as a way of making money. I think this would happen if the government itself adopted bitcoin.

Actually, the rate of interest in Bitcoin is getting bigger every year I think. According to some sources, it seems that more people are entering this sector or buy Bitcoin for the purpose of investment etc. .
Yes, indeed. I can also say that especially here in our country, wherein some of my friends don't know bitcoin way back 2018 backwards, but now almost all of my friends entered the crypto world and almost all of them are now investing on it.  So no doubt adoption for crypto is really increasing.

I personally know a few guys who made their investment during December 2017, when the prices were at its peak. But there is nothing that we can do about it. These sport of bubbles and crashes happen with most of the investment assets. Even during the dot com boom in 2000, there were a lot of people who invested in stocks such as Yahoo and Microsoft at peak prices. Either they can book losses and exit, or hold on to their assets for a few years and wait until the prices recover. Both the options have risks attached to them.

As we have seen with the today's major pump, people will return. It is not losing its interest, only the angry investors are going and coming back. This is because they want to be rick quick. Bitcoin and other coins are so volatile that a single mistake can lead them to bankrupcy. So, when the price gains momentum, they will come back for sure.
Well, sad to say that this is the fact. This commonly happens when bitcoin will drastically down they were leaving but when rapidly goes up they are investing. Because they don't understand very well just because they wanted is to have a profit quickly and in a short period of time. Indeed, bitcoin now is used worldwide and for sure we are now in the mainstream. Bitcoin now has been already well known and I don't think to lose in interest.

Who told you that they are not interested into bitcoin any more due to the price? That is really stupid thing to say. But yeah, it is going to be good for us if people loses interest if the price of the bitcoin falls. At least we will be getting rid of those people who are here just for the profit and is of no use to the community. If they don't understand the simple concept of economics, then they shouldn't be investing in bitcoin in the first place. They can't always expect the price of bitcoin to rise.
Would like to see the regret on their face in the long run.

If we take into account the thinking of the bulk of people, then the interest in cryptocurrency is growing along with the price. As soon as the market enters the stage of correction and this correction lasts a very long time, then everyone who does not understand the true value of bitcoin and other promising currencies sells their assets at a lower price.

Even if some people have left because of the market situation, those who buy at ATH during 2017 are mostly those who must have left, Many people are still supporting btc because they believe, those who where in to make quick money but unfortunately things didn't work out for them, the market will definitely recover and people will start coming back.

I lost interest recently and this is why

Bitcoin has a new set of people controlling it now making it uninspiring. You have HR Department workers who recently heard about it and were handed HR jobs in crypto companies. The HR thing is the worst aspect I can think of.

Then you have big boring bank types which was inevitable and I have no complaint with them. You have crypto exchanges that are really just casinos if you get right down to it. They are casinos, not exchanges. You have many more regulations taking over but that was inevitable.

It is no longer a creative space. I think a lot of early adopters will get bored of the new crowd of people. The HR departments that ruin happiness for everyone and represents everything everybody ever hated about the workplace today.

I could see it getting better if people re-invented businesses that do not have HR departments. Furthermore, first take a snapshot of anybody that has ever held a job in the HR field, and completely block those people out of businesses. Treat HR like a virus.

HR departments depress everyones profits from every nook and cranny of the crypto environment. Your profits go into paying for more HR workers salaries and raises and new HR hires. Every which way. HR is going to hire more HR workers and quietly funnel away the profits from everyone else.

HR is the anti-thesis of bitcoin. The HR workers will reinvent their titles at work and hide under different department names to fool people into thinking they are your friend, but it is always HR. I know it sounds odd but I am sure of it, HR is not good news for crypto businesses.

It's not fair to say that people have lost the interest in bitcoin, because once our world is going forward with new technologies everyone will find the use of this digital currency. In the future with new development projects based on this new digital currency system and the blockchain technology, it's going to be a very interesting world, trust me Smiley so there is nothing to worry you can always go forward with up and downs, TRUST THE PROCESS!! Smiley

Trust is what we need right now, Bitcoin has been in the industry for almost 10 years but still it is still standing and will for sure be part of our everyday life, if you are holding Btc  at the moment, thank yourself as you had the chance to buy it at cheaper price, 10 years from now we don't know the price of Btc, it can be times five of the price today or more.

Trust and patience is what we all need right now, trust that bitcoin will surely bounce back and patience since we really don't know when will the bulls will come. Yes, it is true that bitcoin lived for 10 years already and has proven to have regained strength despite the dumps so we just have to be a little patient about it, this is not the time to lose interest to bitcoin.

A downtrend doesn't necessarily mean that people are losing interest towards it because there are people who trade short term and keep waiting for a good price to buy in again. Bitcoin's price had earlier gone down from $1000 to $100 but that didn't mean people lost interest in it and if it were so then we wouldn't have seen bitcoin at the current price today.
