In my opinion right now in 2019 people don't lose interest with bitcoin, because market conditions are still bearish for some investors
don't dare to enter the market first. Mostly monitor the situation and keep the money in stable coins, so it looks like bitcoin is losing
popularity. And some people think bitcoin is losing interest, even though reality isn't like that. Now don't worry too much. Regarding this,
the most important thing is we still have to believe that bitcoin will return to the highest price as it did in 2017.
What do you mean by "keep the money in stable coins"? You have some datas about that? If cryptos are only changed for stable coins, it's ok because people can come back in the market soon, but if they change their cryptos for fiats it's more disturbing.

I do not believe people understand well how bitcoin exist in the whole world.

It is a fact that you will find many people finding it difficult to understand bitcoin and how the price valuation is determined and for the people who mainly invest in the financial world of stock market and other investment it is hard for them to understand how a decentralized money will sustain and function, you can ask any economist and you will get into hours long debate on how they learned and understood things and not willing to change their concepts.

I do not believe people understand well how bitcoin exist in the whole world.
There are people who understand and sees its potential while there are also people who don't believe on the potential of bitcoin.
Bitcoin usage is not mainstream yet so its normal to see only few people who are really interested with bitcoin but in the future if bitcoin will be successful we might see a lot interested in this technology for online payment and investment as well.

While there are less interest now, its time for us to capitalize and believe on its future by investing on it.

One way or another today, it is safe to say that cryptocurrency is becoming very far from the idea that was declared at the very beginning of its creation, when it came to independence from regulators and various kinds of control.  At the moment, any news or statements by officials of various governments very sharply affect the state of the cryptocurrency market.  Just the other day, the G7 report was officially released that cryptocurrency could bring certain problems due to its instability, and the market immediately responded with a sharp drop.  And if we take into account Zuckenberg's next statement that the Libra project will not be implemented until the US government gives the Green Light, it also indicates that cryptocurrency is still dependent on external factors.

The government will never let cryptocurrency to be completely independent and hence, it will always be dependent on government and various other external factors. The trend is down and it is going down more I would say. But people can bring this up if we use it and in the coming festive season I am hoping we will see increased transaction and valuation.

General people listens and believes in any news or anything they hear. So the news heavily impacts on the market. Moreover, people loved the volatility more I would say, as Bitcoin and the crypto market is not jumping very frequently, I also felt people might have started losing interest. But people can also possibly waiting for the right time to jump in to grab the opportunity.

The most important thing is that we can just Hope.

if u think price going down because people losing interest with bitcoin, i guess it's totally wrong.
bitcoin still favorite after all, even nowadays when bloody bear come.

I think there are a lot of people who are losing interest in bitcoin. And I think that is because of the current situation of the prices. They don't think it is profitable enough that is why a lot of people are dumping their funds and just quit entirely.
so , what your opinion about bakkt market .
recently after the drop in Bitcoin price, Bakkt Volume Bot announced that the daily volume reached 296 BTC at that time, for reminder, before flash crash, volume just about 8 btc.
i guess people still have a interest in bitcoin.

Do you have any proof that people are losing interest with bitcoin or is there any statistic method to be use to know if people still have or have lost their interest with bitcoin? I think it's difficult to say if people doesn't have interest with bitcoin. There's a lot of exchange and crypto trading of which many are trading. It means people are still patronizing and believing in bitcoin. Maybe only those newbie who doesn't know about bitcoin will stay away in crypto because they are afraid to take the risk.

It's not fair to say that people have lost the interest in bitcoin, because once our world is going forward with new technologies everyone will find the use of this digital currency. In the future with new development projects based on this new digital currency system and the blockchain technology, it's going to be a very interesting world, trust me Smiley so there is nothing to worry you can always go forward with up and downs, TRUST THE PROCESS!! Smiley

Trust is what we need right now, Bitcoin has been in the industry for almost 10 years but still it is still standing and will for sure be part of our everyday life, if you are holding Btc  at the moment, thank yourself as you had the chance to buy it at cheaper price, 10 years from now we don't know the price of Btc, it can be times five of the price today or more.

Very true, these are the newbies who have weak faith with bitcoin because they only invest in bitcoin because it can give big profits but with todays price that is sometimes bearish then they will loss faith in bitcoin.
Anyone who came after hearing the price of bitcoin soaring invested or accumulated bitcoin to make money and if someone says they are here to have a revolutionary system to challenge the world is simply lying, so if there is anyone who invested in bitcoin think that the price will go down then they would sell off so that they can enter at a lower rate and that is how you cut your losses and there is nothing bad in that.

The only people whose with bitcoin are those who have been with bitcoin through thick or thin. Bitcoin is very volatile and that investors should know better.
Every investor getting into bitcoin is well aware of the volatile nature of bitcoin and if you tell that you invested your money and the price of bitcoin does not matter then you are lying, having some emotional or movie words is great to hear but if there is a drastic pull back in the market i bet you will also sell to cut the losses so that you can enter at a later time Tongue.

the more controversy that presses it will bring a wave of greater curiosity.

pressure from institutions continues to influence and this makes many people less interested anymore. But many people who already know it already understand and are waiting for a moment of trend reversal. many traders stop trading to avoid losses due to the downtrend, but that doesn't mean they leave.

There seems to be a trend not yet recognized by many experts and that is the withering interest of the people on Bitcoin, especially if we compare today with the days of 2017 and early months of 2018. Of course, we could not expect that people will always like, search and talk about Bitcoin for years. There will always be a plateau and a possible downtrend, sometime somehow.

Is this something we have to accept or should we do something about this?

You've already said it There will always be a plateau and a possible downtrend, this applies to everything, but that does not mean the interest is over, the interest is still there,  some areas will have a high interest in Cryptocurrency and some will have a downtrend, but in general there will always interest in Bitcoin because people have staked a lot of things in Cryptocurrency and many developers have transferred their skills here.

Yes they are. And no they aren't.

People with interest that wane and wax with how the market performs haven't really been interested in Bitcoin other than its speculative nature and profit potential. Which is why long term, interest spikes and dips don't apply and aren't of much concern to most Bitcoin users in the space.

I say Bitcoin users and not holders or owners or traders either. They actually are rather mutually exclusive in my experience.

I don't think it was considered as a loss of interest its just that bitcoin drops it price resulting to a lesser trade rate. Given that the Bitcoin is manipulating by those big whales, the price of bitcoin will also be impacted due to its demand. Bitcoin was volatile and therefore understandable that its price may change in a single time that is why we need to be critical about the decisions that we are making. We should not be affected by oir emotions but rather be strategic.

stop living in 2017 because we are near 2020 and things are more different from 2 years ago.people are not getting out of interest instead they are more knowledgeable by now so their interest is there but with much careful and security
they have learn that being possessive will bring them nothing but failure so why need to rush?when there are right timing on when to put money and when to take out?and besides there are different people in crypto, there are HODLERS and also traders but whatever side they are the important thing is they trust crypto and newbie like you doesn't know what that is

I don't think it's only because of the price there had been several bad news : the hack of the Lightning Network while LN was a big hope for adoption, the FUD about the quantum computing progress of Google, the failure of the ETF, the failure of Bakkt, the failure of Libra and the failure of TON...

Some people are losing interest because of low price and also to its biggest downfall. But there are other people who are still believing that it will rise again and make the best out of it. Different perception are really present but no one could ever say what the future could bring

I can say, people are losing interest because they don't have the knowledge and understanding about how crypto behaves. Technically, it's quiet normal for traders to experience a big dump in price since they know the difference between market price and value. Market value of crypto is innate while market price can be altered. In this bitcoin declination, traders will just patiently wait for further drop in price. And then take advantage of the market value that a crypto has.

2017 was a bullish year which was more of a fad. At that time many new people came in crypto owing to the hype which created an euphoric reaction. The popularity was the highest at that time which went quite low in 2018. But in 2019, the popularity geared up. If you follow the Google search chart and frequency for BTC and per day transaction chart, you will see that they have come to the same level as that of 2017. So, BTC isn't losing popularity.
Those who already give up last year probably only want to experience the hype BTC have in 2017, and got dissaponted when almost fell too low in price, the thing here they still didn't analyze what is it BTC have in the future since it's limited and will have many demand in the future those who are willing to face the volatility now can feel the fruit of sacrifices soon.

yeah, newbie weak hands are leaving bitcoin handing over their small amount of bitcoin to others who understand the true purpose of bitcoin, at a discount just to try and buy it back a couple of months later at a much higher price. Wink

Very true, these are the newbies who have weak faith with bitcoin because they only invest in bitcoin because it can give big profits but with todays price that is sometimes bearish then they will loss faith in bitcoin. The only people whose with bitcoin are those who have been with bitcoin through thick or thin. Bitcoin is very volatile and that investors should know better.
This is capture what would be that bitcoin it is. The volatility of the market keeps going strong and it makes those doubters losses confidence with Bitcoin. Being profitable is the most reason people investing Bitcoin/crypto but it makes them difficult when the market turns like this( dumping). If the market will fall down deeper it absolutely affects the interest of the people and most likely they'll find other stuff to work with but they'll turn back in crypto once the market recovers.
