I don't agree that people are losing interest for Bitcoin. Those who are only looking for fast profit will maybe give up soon but still I think that Bitcoin now already has respectable community. Maybe it's not so much in focus because the price isn't spectaculary high but loyal, constant community exist and it's spreading further, of that I'm convinced.

For me it's clear people are losing interest for Bitcoin. First because they are disappointed by its price evolution: adopters (especially the small ones) expected to see their investment growing, and that is not happening, on the best of possible scenarios their money value is just stagnant.

Second that Bitcoin is still mainly used as store of value and not "real money". The virtual currency attends a small internet niche yet, and that is a big problem for its adoption among more people who don't belong to this select group of informatic enthusiasts and market speculators.

Third that some disappointment comes from the fact adopters are being scammed and deceived by other Bitcoin enthusiasts, what is very common when trying to find jobs, tasks and investments related to Crypto Currency on Google and Youtube.

Furthermore, the lack of opportunities make Bitcoin uninteresting for people nowadays.

Do you agree?

Other people are just going for bounty and not for crypto curency. As a result, the bounty scam has weakened and people have gradually lost interest with the bounty! So the only left is anyone who knows crypto and is here for crypto and not just the bounty or the money that can be earned here.

There seems to be a trend not yet recognized by many experts and that is the withering interest of the people on Bitcoin, especially if we compare today with the days of 2017 and early months of 2018. Of course, we could not expect that people will always like, search and talk about Bitcoin for years. There will always be a plateau and a possible downtrend, sometime somehow.

Is this something we have to accept or should we do something about this?

The reason why the trend was high during 2017 is because of the bull market. Those who left and stayed away from crypto after that most likely lost a lot of money when the bear market started. Most likely those people are those who invested in FOMO and those who are impatient. Wait for the next bull market, and see how the trend changes. Accept the fact that not all investors in crypto and bitcoin are not after the technology, but for profit.

Downtrend of bitcoin price make many people losing interested with bitcoin, bitcoin price end 2017 very expensive with how bitcoin price today, many investor less interested for investing back with bitcoin because they have ever lost money when bitcoin down, they are still waiting when bitcoin back at the price on 2017 for get back their money use for other investment.

People are not losing interest in Bitcoin, but they are just disappointed especially those people who invested at peak season, so for me what they are feeling is just normal, what matters is that they keep going and never give up, believe that Bitcoin will still rise as the supply is decreasing while the demand is increasing rapidly.

Many newbies investors were disappointed by the turn of event after buying bitcoin at ATH in 2017 the downtrend that follows makes them to dislike bitcoin and as well discouraged other potential investors majority of them are after profits and not on its project. I believed when bitcoin begins to pump again and when witness another ATH more attention will be focused on it again, many investors and new experts will beam their search light on it to ascertain its adaptability and profitability.

people who lose interest in bitcoin are caused by lack of knowledge about bitcoin.
for me personally if people who have been in this market since 2015 it is unlikely that interest will diminish, this is because now bitcoin is cheap to buy around $ 8k while the highest bitcoin price ever touched $ 20k so it is impossible for someone who already understands this market to decrease interest against bitcoin.

although its nature is very volatile but that's what makes people add interest in bitcoin.

Only impatient newbies are losing their interest in Bitcoin. As for me, experienced investors especially those who were present during the bull run are still hopeful since they have witnessed how the capability of Bitcoin to rise and exceed everyone's expectations. I'm sure that when the price strikes high again, more people would have an interest in crypto.

In the end of 2017, there were many new users entering cryptocurrencry, making the market interest and adoption of crypto increase. The ICO trend at that time was very high and the trial of new users to come to profit. Now the ICO trend is down and many users have experienced a loss in deep value, even though it is also the user's own fault. If we want bitcoin adoption to continue to increase we have to make the crypto trend keep going up without going down, it's just hard to do that because bitcoin is not central that can be controlled.

I strongly doubt that. The price of bitcoin or its marketcap has no relation with the interest of people in Bitcoin. bitcoin is volatile as it has always been and these fluctuations are very normal to most of us. The interests of bitcoin is still growing and so many industries across the globe are joining in. Some teams in the European countries have even started using bitcoin to pay for tickets and also shop for football items.
True, in my view people are not losing interest in bitcoin, in fact some adopting bitcoin in terms of payment. Even though the bitcoin price is not that high as like the bull run happens we cannot say other people losing interest in it. There’s more growth will occur in bitcoin once it will soar high again it's value.

We can't do something about this as this is how bitcoin works for several years already. Once it's price will hit the peak like in 2017 then people around the globe are talking about bitcoin as the market is very lively.

But as of our current situation now, we cannot force them talk about bitcoin as the market is in bad condition and we are almost in the bottom. All will be lively again once the market will start to recover and we can hit again the next peak of the market. Its not that people lost interest, they are only waiting for the right time.

We can do something, but even if we don't, it's will inevitably become popular because of the digital age. If people will start looking into digital modes of payment, higher chance is that they'll hear, and probably learn about bitcoin. Don't be too afraid that bitcoin will be obsolete because it's highly unlikely to happen. Constant growth of bitcoin is evident and not only bitcoin, but the whole blockchain, is continuously adopted to different sectors and services. It may be slow but it'll surely grow in the right time.

I don't think people are losing interest, people are just talking less about it, for now, but there's always a time that Bitcoin that Bitcoin will become a big buzz in the internet when there's big news coming and ongoing, I don't think it's unusual Bitcoin is not a hype thing that people are just shilling it, it's a technology that is evolving, the market is always a good indicator if people are really losing interest.

I think theres a statistics about how many times Bitcoin and cryptocurrency was mentioned in any social media platform. That's one way to identify whether we're lossing interest from the people or not. I just don't know how they come up with those numbers.
However, Downtrend doesn't mean we're lossing people or interest. Investors and traders was just getting along with the momentum.
Regardless of that statistics you are talking about, I think people are not losing interest in Bitcoin it's just that they are waiting or hodling. Waiting as much as possible because they know that the bull is out there waiting to be released. And we people just like you said are getting along with the momentum. Waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike and sell HIGH. Grin

You can't certainly compare those days of hyping in the current situation. I know we all missed that moment but it is better to forget all of it and accept the condition that we have to today. Too many hypes arising that year which we can't see it now, not only means that we are losing any chance to see Bitcoin being in bullish again but the situation will have a huge difference by now, and investors/trader had learned also.

even though the price of bitcoin is falling and often makes me stuck at high prices I will never hate bitcoin because with the presence of bitcoin I can get a lot of profit and can provide stability in my finances, so somehow bitcoin still gives a very high interest.
for those who understand use of bitcoin will definitely be the same as your opinion ,will never regret it because I know bitcoin can be played first by trading or other investments businesses that can benefit more supplies for holder ,for those who don't understand I think otherwise will throw at a low price because of panic
