Personally, I do not think I am an gambling addict. I know a lot of addicts say that but you cannot really call everyone who denies gambling addiction an addict in denial. I go by facts. And fact is that I gamble maybe once or at most twice a week and never large sums of money. So does that constitute an addiction? I do not think so.
In short, addiction is a condition that makes a person lose control of something. It can refer to excessive liking and being driven by a strong desire or fondness for something that is difficult to avoid. if you are not included in this group, it means you are not a gambling addict who often does excessive activities.
Realistically, how many of gamblers become addicted? I do not think its a very large or even significant number. Maybe 10% at most. If anyone knows a good source for statistics of gambling addiction then I would love to learn more. Feel free to provide a link to the source (as long as it is scientifically sound and not just some random website with statistics with no references)
Interesting question, I'm also interested to know if there are scientific journals that provide sources of information related to this. however, unfortunately we do not have data or statistics related to how many gamblers become addicted.
I can't assume any further about this.
However, reflecting on the experience I have, I like betting activities, especially football. I think, basically, if one has a good understanding and is responsible. then, that person will avoid things that lead to addiction.
