A hacker is a thief. A thief is a criminal.
So aren't you afraid of one? Because I am afraid. Simply because of the fact that not even the real world that banks get robbed, people held for ransom and whatsoever.

IT also happens here. If it can happen in daily life, what do you think  about the fact that it can't happen here?

So yes I am afraid plus I have been a victim so I have been securing my wallets now. Thanks to that.

if we do not type the wrong web or phishing and do not click on any link from email, telegram, twitter, facebook or from other social media and we do not use public wifi, do not give important data like password or email us to other people and computer we will also from the virus attack then we should not be afraid of hackers. from 2016 I joined here and I've never been hacked. which is important we are careful in safeguarding our data and we should not be afraid.

Recently Bloomberg posted the information that it took hackers less than 10 years to steal over 14% of all existing Bitcoins and Ethereum from the wallets of their holders. The total sum they have stolen is more than $1,2 billion! How to protect yourself from hackers attacks? Are you afraid of this stuff?

Everyone at least a little afraid to be hacked, but I don't think that we need to be afraid of this. People should not ignore precautionary measures and do everything to protect their coins and tokens. Safe browsing, use few wallets, have a good antivirus and firewall, don't follow suspicious links and etc.

Of course I'm afraid. Despite all the advantages of the digital currency, it is still susceptible to attacks from intruders who want to take advantage of the almost unregulated scope. Mining malware is only part of the set of tools that hackers use. When choosing an exchange, you need to focus not only on the size of the commission and the currencies with which the site operates, but also on security issues, including mandatory use of two-factor authentication for access to online purses and exchanges.

no i am not afraid of hackers, cause never heard before hacker hacked a wallet, but wallet are not responsible for this, so if you keep safe your account then hacker never hacked your wallet
do not you hear the MEW case in the hack.?
Hackers will not stop looking for security holes and he spends time for it. we should also continue to maximize security and do not make mistakes. it's safer to keep the assets in the hardware wallet and we have full access.

With an increasingly diverse range of crimes that exist today, especially in the cryptocurrency. Of course it is natural when I was a little afraid. Especially for it hacker who commits crimes intelligently. And it can be so powerful to be able to have the technology destroy or even steal data that we have.

If you keep your data safe when you do not need to be afraid of hackers because if you keep everything safe then there is very less chance or near to impossible chance for the hackers to hack your computer or data so better to make yourself safe instead of getting afraid from hackers.

A new form of cryptominer has been discovered which crashes systems the moment antivirus products attempt to remove the malware.

The malware, dubbed WinstarNssmMiner by 360 Total Security researchers, has been used in half a million attempted attacks leveraged at PCs in only three days.

On Wednesday, the cybersecurity firm said the cryptomining malware aims to infect PCs in order to steal processing power for the purpose of mining the Monero cryptocurrency.

WinstarNssmMiner is brutal code as it will crash victim PCs the moment antivirus products detect and attempt to remove it.

The cryptominer launches the svchost.exe process -- used to manage system services -- and injects malicious code into the file. One injected process begins mining cryptocurrency while the other runs in the background to avoid detection and scan for antivirus protection.

In the second stage, WinstarNssmMiner then tampers with CriticalProcess, adding a process attribute which allows the malware to crash the system at whim.

However, the malware is a coward at heart. As 360 Total Security writes, WinstarNssmMiner "turns off antivirus protection of defenseless foes and backs off when facing sharp swords."

The malware scans compromised systems for antivirus products. Any "decent" solutions offered by reputable companies -- such as Kaspersky Lab and Avast -- and will quit automatically if these types of antivirus products are discovered.

However, if weaker antivirus systems are in use, the crash process starts up and victims have to live with crippling slowness and blue screens while the malware cheerfully steals their power and mines Monero on the attacker's behalf.

"Due to the nature of digital currency mining, cryptominers use up victims' processing power for the sake of their distributors," the researchers note. "Some savvy users are able to identify and terminate the CPU consuming applications. Hence, WinstarNssmMiner protects itself by configuring its mining processes' attribute to CriticalProcess so infected computers crash when users terminate it."

Four mining pools have been linked to the malware at present. At the time of writing, the threat actors behind the spread of WinstarNssmMiner have mined 133 Monero, which is equivalent to roughly $26,500.

Hackers really have to be afraid because they can easily steal your wallet data or a certain exchange and you will lose your money, you can not joke with it, do not pass your data to anyone, and always look at the site's link!

Why should I be afraid of hackers? I'm not a rich guy who has $ 1,000,000. I usually follow security precautions when I'm on the Internet. I think nothing threatens me.

Yes, of course I'm afraid. Being affraid makes you to be more careful where you use the internet connection (public wifi) and check twice for original websites instead of phishing ones. I would say it is the best time for hackers. Bitcoin's popularity and the emergence of 1500 other digital currencies attracted hackers into the heated space of the crypto currency, expanding the scope for crime and fraud.
I've also been attacked by hackers, it was a depressing morning and collapsed, until now I still do not forget and the hacker is still an obsession with me, exactly as you say, fear makes us become more careful and thorough in every activity. Although I've upgraded my security, limiting logon to bad sites and using only one computer to work with bitcoin but the anxiety always exists every morning when I wake up, if someone told me, they are not afraid of hackers in the crypto world, that would certainly be a lie
