I have little bitcoin and many altcoins. I bought some before bullish market and bought some more in recent market dip. I believe 2018 will be a very good altcoins year. Now I just waiting and HODL
if I have much capital, I want buy some altcoins, like monetha, spectre.ai, latium, genesis vision, most of people that ICO have potential and good for future

Yes, I am investing some money on alt coins but it is only for deiversifation. I have invested in coins like ETH and ripple only which are not that risky.
I'm also in to buying altcoins especially those that came from ICOs. This is because ICO prices are usually lower and there's big tendency to rise. This means more income for us. Altcoins are alternative to bitcoin since bitcoin price is diving at this moment.

Right now, I am usually waiting for a good chance and price point for those altcoins I am eyeing. Although it's hard to see the good side of what's happening right now, I focus on the future and just try to invest by means of buying coins that are cheap in the market that I can dispose of for profit in the future, hopefully in the near future. I don't have much capital to spare, because like everyone else, all the investments I have used before still doesn't have any return because the market has not actually increased yet to the margin I can afford to dispose such coins for profit.
Now I buy altcoins, because they are cheap. And I try not to invest only one coin, I allocate investments, so as not to lose them.
I would recommend to buy alts when price only so sweet like ethereum for 370$ or EOS for 5.8$ that is very nice price to get inside market , but not for now !

Buy anything that you believe it could give you a good return, is it bitcoin or alt coin they are the same, the main point is the return. I am buying all coins that I believe will give me good return.
